**UPDATE ** I received a call immediately from Jennifer at Qshark who was extremely helpful in assisting with the claim for these damages and missing items. I was immediately compensated for the issues I had surfaced and am extremely grateful to the Qshark team for doing so. **ORIGINAL** Unfortunately I cannot say I would recommend Qshark. We hired them for a cross country move and were very hopeful for a smooth process given the total cost we were quoted. Prior to the move, I will say the customer service was great. Any question we had was answered promptly and clearly over email, which was very helpful when preparing for the move. On the day of pick up, the movers were punctual, organized, kind and respectful. I have no complaints for the first half of the move. The delivery is where things started to go south. Our movers assured us they would arrive by July 1, however the night before I received a text from Frank that the movers were very delayed and were likely going to miss the delivery date. He let me know the battery had died in the moving truck and therefore they were unable to make the agreed upon delivery date. This was a problem as we had no accommodations for that night, assuming we would've been able to stay in our new home. Frank offered to cover the cost of any hotel expenses we incurred, which was the right thing to do given the circumstances. However, I did have to follow up with him once or twice to complete the reimbursement, which again isn't the type of service I would expect given the premium cost we paid and unique circumstances. When the movers arrived the next day, things looked positive as they were unloading all the furniture. However once they left we realized several items were either missing or damaged. Our bed frame, bar cabinet, shoe cabinet and futon all had either pieces missing or parts that had been dinged. On top of all of that, our TV screen had been damaged in the move. I have since been asking for claim details to get reimbursed for the TV repairs, and have followed up daily with no progress or confirmation that we will be compensated for the damages. Overall while the movers themselves were wonderful, the service of Qshark fell far below expectation and I would not book with them again. read more

Had a move with Diego and Nick. I mainly wanted them for large items we couldn't move ourselves. I wanted to keep it right at the minimum of 3 hours to save a bit of cost. They moved quick and carefully. Dissemble and reassembled the bed frame. Moved heavy items up a flight of stairs. They were very strong and had a great attitude day after the holiday. Followed directions and we had no hiccups. Prices were great, no other hidden fees. Just a $60 moving fee and then you pay by the hour. Get a $10 discount an hour for paying cash. Alex, Christian, Daniel did an amazing job fitting a large apartment on second floor with stairs into the truck to the edge. Easy going and reliable team. I paid around $1200 to move to a nearby city, gathering things at the old place, taking down large furniture to bring down the stairs, then moving into new house and putting it all together. I didn't feel rushed when trying to decide placement either. Even though it's a lot more than I was hoping to spend on moving services, it did take a while to get everything packed in. My experience with QShark began with Jennifer who took care of all the logistics meaning I was worry free. They figured out with two storage units in different cities to start at the farthest and continue to the closest one to the house. I didn't have to think of any of the details. The crew communicated half an hour before they arrived did a fantastic job packing all of my antiques and fragile glass into their truck from my storage units and into my house. QShark was by far the most clear on their pricing. Excellent communication. The guys were super nice. One of the movers seemed to be possibly autistic and he worked so hard and the guys were so super kind to him. They were on time and not a thing was broken or damaged. They take boxes on Dollie's, so some of the boxes for certain rooms landed in the wrong location. I'd say make sure you group your boxes so that is less of a problem. Has they read every box it would have taken too long so I totally understand. Highly recommend. read more

Update 11/20/21 My 3rd review of this move The container arrived at its final destination. Very disappointed as several pieces were damaged. Bookcases and other wood furniture is scratched, dinged, or missing chunks in the oddest places. Fragile boxes crushed; good thing I packed those with excessive newsprint and bubble wrap. The biggest issue, the frame of my 1 year old La-Z-Boy sofa sleeper is broke! Like really, how the heck did that happen? All damage happened on the California side. I took pictures as each layer was revealed. I will say if the second team had packed the container in the first place, there would have been little to no damage. The customer service at Qshark is awesome, but some of its employees who perform the actual work leave much to be desired. I stress if you don't like the crew they send, call immediately. Get them to reschedule with a different crew. It's your money and your possessions. The company needs to better screen its employees. Their behavior reflects on the company. read more
