While I believe the equipment is good at diagnosing the severity of your condition, I haven't been able to get any real answers or any new positive changes from the doctor on what will help. I feel stuck here with too many unknowns. The one thing I don't like about the office is the wait times. My time there is normally several hours and you're moved from one room to another about 3-4 different times. When your glasses or contacts are taken off it makes it hard moving around to so many rooms so much. I wish they sold glasses at this location and I could make it a one stop shop, but it's more about optics scans, photos of the eye and vision testing.

Further, this was my first time owning glasses, there was zero instruction on how to clean them, etc. On day one in ownership I scratched them as I did not realize you can't use TP. Worst part I pulled out all the stops on the best pair. 100% awful people, product and follow-up....as there was none.

A few years ago my daughter, who was a patient at the time, was in a softball tournament in Kansas City. She forgot to bring extra daily contacts with her so I called Dr. Goerrs office on a Saturday morning when they were closed. He knew another doctor in KC and gave them her prescription so we could go to his office and pick them up. This past weekend I was getting ready for my grandson's birthday party and something scratched my eye. I was walking around with one hand covering my eye. I called Dr. Goerrs on his emergency line. He calls me back shortly after. First he apologizes for not answering my call but he just got off a plane in St. Louis and he hasn't even gotten his luggage yet. I tell him what happened and he sent out a prescription to my pharmacy before leaving the airport. We picked it up right away and I could start using it before the party started. This is the first time I could almost say I ENJOYED an eye exam. They have a new machine that scans the eyes without drops, which means not having to drive home with the bit of film over your eyes! (It does cost extra but frankly I think it was worth it). He was also able to scan my corneas, as I have thick corneas that always register high on the glaucoma test (being a new patient, he couldn't just take my word on that!). It was nice to come away knowing that I'd had a more thorough checkup than I'd had in years and all was OK. Plus, my previous doctor was trying to talk me into getting cataract surgery, and this doctor assured me that I was nowhere near needing that yet. I would definitely recommend this clinic.
