The turkey was fresh, the bacon exceptional, and the pretzel itself soft and savory. A great sandwich, and I picked their potato salad as a side. It tasted homemade and was creamy, a good balance to the melt. I will certainly pick out some pastries to take with. I highly suggest that you drop in the next time you're on I-55 in Missouri.

I decided to take a bite of an original snack stick. Oh my goodness! I loved it. Next time through there, we bought ourselves a box of 30, hubby more exotics and a pack of bacon. We love bacon. In Utah, we bought it fresh, in a 15 pound box from a farm. As we have gotten older, it doesnt always agree with us any more. The Stonie's bacon, however, was great. Cooked up well, digested well, the taste was wonderful. Our final trip through this month, we didnt stop. I couldn't find their hours on their website, it was pretty early in the morning and we were tired. A mistake. We can order the sticks online but not the bacon. We just ordered plenty of sticks. We will eventually take a trip again back to where we moved from and get bacon. It is definitely worth a stop.

I guess there are multiple rooms here, one part is a restaurant and then there is a bakery. I only was in the bakery. They have a lot to choose from. Some stuff is sitting on the counter in the open which was odd and at one point I thought maybe they were samples but they were full sized items so I think they were for sale. Anyway I decided to order a few items. I ordered some kind of brownie. I think it was called the all good bar. It's a brownie with walnuts in it, then a peanut butter layer on top of it and a layer of chocolate ganache on top of that. It's a buckeye in brownie form and it's amazing. It could easily go into the way too sweet territory but it doesn't. It's perfect. One or two bites satisfies a sweet tooth. So I took a few bites over 2-3 days. I wish I had more. I also ordered I think it was called a basket. It was pastry puff dough in a rectangle with cream cheese in the center and very thin slices of apple on top. I brought that home and heated it up in our airfryer for 3-4 minutes and let me tell you it was one of the best things I've eaten all year. And I've had some really delicious food this year. I wanted to cry. It was that good. Unbelievable. I wanted to scarf it down and also take my time because I didn't want to not have it. The last thing I bought was a two pack of their iced shortbread cookies. They were right by the register and maybe on sale and I figured why not. These took me back to childhood. There was a bakery near us in Ohio called 'taste and tell'. They had the best iced cookies. I'm 43 and I still think about them. That place closed probably 30 years ago? I took a bite of these cookies and time traveled to 'taste and tell'. Whatever recipe they use is the same. They are so good!! Out of the three items I bought I didn't have a favorite because everything was amazing in its own right. The brownie was rich and sweet and decadent and had crunchy and creamy and perfection. The basket was 10/10 pure heaven and the cookies were a blast from the past of one of my favorite childhood treats. I'm both sad and happy that this place is so far from me because i want to be there everyday. I will definitely be back to empty the bakery case and also to try and sandwich or soup or real food too.
