Unfortunately, I have did not have good experience here. One of the prescriptions that I usually get at my regular pharmacy was not available. I called Madison for assistance to see if they could get the medication. I was quoted a ridiculously high cost for this medication - a medication that is approved through my insurance for a $5 copay. The pharmacist told me that he would be able to get the medicine, BUT that it would cost me hundreds of dollars! This doesn't make any sense when it's a very low co-pay for me at any other pharmacy. He could not actually explain why the medicine was not covered at the regular $5 co-pay at Madison. All he kept saying is that the medication is expensive. Yes - it's expensive when you don't have insurance. But I have insurance and the medication is covered under it. This is quite alarming to me. I confirmed with my insurance company that I should be able to pick up the medication at Madison for $5. They confirmed this and even called the pharmacist to try to understand why they were quoting me hundreds of dollars. We thought maybe there was something that we were not understanding. When my insurance representative got back on the phone with me, he said that the pharmacist was claiming that he now suddenly could not get the medication (after he told me minutes before that he could). My insurance representative also said that the pharmacist seemed bothered and annoyed by the call, and tried to rush him off the phone - and also would not explain to him why their pricing was hundreds of dollars when it should've been meeting the insurance co-pay of $5. Something seems incredibly shady. For this reason, if you're able to get your prescription covered, I'm sure you'll enjoy the benefits that everybody talks about at this local pharmacy. But if you encounter something like what I encountered - beware. And call your prescription insurance company for cost verification before desperately handing over hundreds of dollars you don't have to. I hate to wonder, but In my opinion, it almost seems as though Madison was trying to price gauge (knowing the medication was unable to be obtained at my regular pharmacy) for their own benefit. Once they realized I was not willing to pay that ridiculous price, their tone suddenly changed, and then the medicine was suddenly no longer available to them. Something doesn't add up. I should add - in the past, I have had this same prescription filled at Madison a few times and never encountered this problem. And my insurance has not changed.

Sat down. Barely read two pages of the magazine and my three bottles of pills were ready to go. They are definitely not a big name store- they want to keep business, unlike chains who don't care about customer retention. Lupe's has all your standard pharmacy products and then some, including perfumed soaps, Burt's Bees, and even some Fairfield memorabilia. If you can't find what you're looking for, just ask and they can probably order it for you. If you have questions about your prescription, you can always ask one of the pharmacists, or speak with someone over the phone. They're one of the few family-owned businesses that has survived the chain brand explosion, because you can't get Lupe's service anywhere else.

Besides making routine prescriptions easy to manage and obtain, we also got our Flu and Shingrix vaccines there. When getting the first Covid 19 shot, they were the first to successfully direct us to a source, when all you could get during the initial rollout anywhere were busy signals or "no appointments left". They have been excellent in dealing with insurance companies and the complexities of dealing with the Oncology Dept of a major NYC hospital. We haven't thrown them a curveball yet they couldn't hit. Their prices are competitive but you won't get the same level of service at any price. It also has a wonderful gift shop that always has interesting gifts. Supporting KFP also supports a local business (not funding the acquisition of a major insurance company) and nourishes our community. I encourage everyone to fill their drug store needs mindfully and consider the gem that is KFP.

Because of their unwilliness to fix my mother's "allegedly" brand new hospital bed which has a bad remote, the first three weeks of her stay in her new facility, had her frustrated because the bed was not consistently working. They sent 3 different people out to claim it was working. I sent them video when it wasn't. Jordan the supervisor literally said he was not going to replace it. THis was after my mother's broken leg surgery. He did not care. She regularly could not sit up in her bed because it would not go up and if she needed to leave the bed it would not go down. One night she fell all the way out of the bed. Still Jordon said nothing was wrong with it. I reported to CMS Medicare and spoke to the contractor Adepthealth (who were lovely). After a couple weeks, a new bed arrived and it was delivered with kindess by Diya who was nothing like any of the other fruitcakes I worked with at CSS including Jordan and Javier. It took 3 weeks and I can't tell you how many hours on my part to resolve an issue that should have been completed in 20 minutes. It took me to figure out what was wrong mechanically with the bed. I am a therapist. And still they did nothing, I think their egos were hurt. My mother was thrown off at her new facility for weeks because they didn't care. She fell and easily could have rebroken her leg. And Jordan actually spoke to me with such disdain and ignorance, STAY AWAY! They will respond they have a video. Yes dears.
