I needed CPAP accessories, and it is hard to find stores that are fully stock and don't require a prescription. I made a several calls before calling Collins Medical. Chris answered the phone and had the accessories I was looking for. I stopped by and was warmly greeted by his team. He took the time to explain the different options I could choose. No one wants to admit it but there are times when you just need help in your everyday life. I decided it was time for me to get one of those lift recliners as I had to be stood up by the local FD twice after not being able to get off of my own couch. We went in and were greeted by Fran who was very helpful in showing us the various features of the chairs (there are several on display). This was on a Tuesday morning and after making the arrangements, they delivered my new chair and took out our old sofa on Thursday morning. Thanks guys for making this process so simple! read more

I'm quite sure before I spent $1600 on the hospital bed I was told there's a 30 day return policy. It gave a false sense of comfort because when the bed wasn't right for us after 7 days I was told no returns and there was no customer service. My advice: rent elsewhere until you figure out exactly what you need. It's impossible to know and it's not a decision you can make on the phone. read more

I went to Collins earlier in the day to look for a compression stocking sort of product. A product of this sort was recommended for me by a primary doctor. I did not know what I was looking for. I immediately thought to go to Collins, as my experience with them many years ago when I needed assistance for my father-in-law, was exemplary. I met with Fran Garcia. Ms. Garcia provided A+ service - sensing my being ill at ease with even asking for this kind of product, she provided necessary information, mixed in a little humor, and demonstrated the use of the product she was recommending. She could not have been nice, more professional and competent. I left feeling like I was given the right advice at the right time. I'm glad I thought to go back to Collins. They did not disappoint. I had a prescription for a piece of medical equipment and went to a place in Stratford after i called them and they told me they had it in stock and they did take my insurance. Went there and after about 45 minutes they told me insurance didn't approved it. Went to Collins and walked out with the equipment in no time. They had to call my doctor because the prescription was for the other place and it was electronic. They gave me fast and friendly service. My family was scrambling to find options for home medical care and the staff at Collins was incredibly helpful, compassionate and professional. Peggy's advice on supplies and a lift chair was so appreciative and knowledgeable, and we cannot fully express our family's gratitude to Kevin and Will, who delivered the chair. They were so caring, thoughtful and patient with my father, teaching him to use the chair, getting him settled and going far beyond what any typical service provider would offer.
