In fact, my kids laughed at my wife when she got a salad and wasn't overly impressed "Mom, why would you get a salad at a place with great burgers?!?" My thoughts exactly. The service is decent, the space is comfortable for a downtown spot on Monroe Center. When I visit, I focus solely on the burgers and I've never been disappointed. The 'Meat Wagon', topped with ribeye, ham and bacon just wants to cuddle your belly from the inside. The 'Otto Von Burger' topped with a fried egg and bacon is one of the best examples of its kind. The 'Alabamer' is great when you're craving pulled pork and bacon on your burger. If you just want a traditional burger, you have that option and won't be disappointed. Also, the loaded fries are solid, but personally, I would pass on the fancier offerings. Remember: Burgers over fancy apps and skip the salads and you'll be fine.

Prices are very reasonable and the food is amazing! I tried the Chicken Bacon Jammer Sandwich. It was so good! The combo of the Boursin cheese, bacon jam and the reaper mayo was delicious and really balanced out the heat from the mayo. Splurged on desert and the Cookie n' Milk cake was wonderful. Not too rich or sweet. This place is definitely worth a stop if you are downtown!

Parking is easy, and convenient. They have ton of pizza, styles, flavors, and crusts. We settled on the "Build your own" pizza. We chose the Detroit style, four piece, with original crust. It was the perfect choice for our eating wants and needs. We added pepperonis onions, mushrooms and black olives. Service was slow, but the friendly waitress made it more enjoyable. Overall, the pizza was OK. It was a little burnt, and hard to cut. The taste was pleasing. I must admit that my favorite is Chicago deep dish pizza, sorry Detroit fans. But i feel that it is one of the better pizza places in GR. If your not a pizza fan, they have several other option; burgers, salads, and sandwiches. Check it out.

We had a movie to catch so she got our pizza orders in first then came back and got everyone's drinks (so smart). As busy as they were, we knew the pizza would take awhile. Perfect timing. We got everyone fed and out in just over an hour. I split a BBQ Conant 4 square (yay to all corners!) with my husband. I could have eaten more than 2 but it was great because we were getting movie popcorn after. The BBQ Conant: Wisconsin brick cheese, grilled chicken, red onions, fresh cilantro and Buddy's BBQ sauce. - Some of the cilantro is extra crispy / brown out of the oven, but overall liked the addition of cilantro. At some point, I need to come back for the Vernors float! Tip: Found Buddy's frozen pizza at the grocery store and it comes pretty close if you want a bake at home option.

Their…read morechopped Caesar salad is my favorite - it has artichokes and roasted tomatoes, which gives it a unique twist. The portion is large enough to split between two people with a pizza. Nate and I tried a different pizza on our last visit - the vestito di bianco. It has white sauce, mozzarella, bacon, garlic wilted spinach, grilled zucchini, roasted tomatoes, and romano cheese. They still do a build your own option for pizzas and salads, but it's no longer unlimited toppings (which makes sense to me, I still can't believe that was ever an option). You can get up to 6 toppings included, and anything beyond that is extra. That's still a great deal as the create your own pizzas start at $10.95 with the 6 toppings. The pizza was done quickly and I love that they're wood-fired as they have a great flavor. The white sauce was savory and delicious and not overpowering. I really liked the toppings on the vestito di bianco. I wish the zucchini was sliced larger (it was a small dice) but everything worked well together and the flavors were fresh. The salad was super fresh too and delicious as always. The employees working were very polite and kind and I got a $5 reward for signing up on their app. They do a lot of takeout but they have a nice outdoor patio and plenty of space to dine in. They don't have beer on tap anymore but they do sell canned alcoholic beverages. Don't sleep on Herb & Fire if you're looking for a tasty meal that's quick, fresh, and pretty affordable.

Lamb Gnocchi - lamb was flavorful (cubed bits throughout), the couple of sugar snap peas were fresh and cooked just right (wish there'd been more), the gnocchi itself was excellent. I thought the sauce was a bit much (too much of it and too much flavor/too salty), and it could've had less bread crumbs. Not sure if this dish was supposed to be lukewarm...Without the sauce and excessive amount of breadcrumbs, this dish is easily an 8.5-9/10, but too much sauce & breadcrumbs I have to give it a 6.85/10 Fish & chips - tried my gram's fish and chips. Outside of the batter being pepper heavy, the batter was perfect. It wasn't too thick, it wasn't soggy or over done, literally just the right amount of crunch. The 2 filets were quite big and the fish wasn't dry, nice and flaky. The fries were like old school McDonald's (so when they used to be good and had flavor...). I'm not a fish and chips person, or a pepper person, but from what I tried of this one, I'd say it's an 8/10. Desserts - if you want something light and summery and you don't mind the taste of basil, get the Matcha Tres Leches (green dessert). If you want rich & decadent get the mocha cheesecake. /10 for both desserts but for VERY different reasons.
