Hidden gem! We stayed here on our way from TN to TX. SO GLAD WE DID!…read more The kids loved the lazy river and pool. They had floats and comfy poolside chairs and a swim up bar out there. I'm not a golfer but I'm guessing this is the place to be if you are. :) They have such a beautiful golf course and it made me want to take up some golf clubs and learn. We ate at Rebecca's (hotel restaurant) two times and enjoyed dinner much more than breakfast. Breakfast was a bit overpriced, fruit wasn't super fresh, toast and pastries a big stale. There were a ton of options for the brekky buffet though. On the contrary, dinner seemed fairly priced and the portions were huge. Food tasted delicious, made to order. Kids fries, alfredo and grilled cheese for the littles. Crostinis app for us (highly recommend). Hubby got a burger which he said was delicious (super sized) and I had the seafood penne and ate it all! Loved the flavor and spice. We had an incredible stay here and we would def come again. They even had a kid room for our 5, 4, and 1 year old to enjoy - it had large blocks, coloring table, big love sac chairs. Thanks for having us Sheraton and for the incredible service we received!

Some front desk staff, primarily the overnight gentleman - not so much. Nothing like asking questions in the morning and feeling like you're putting him out of his way. The food was the biggest disappointment. Used my Titanium benefit for free breakfast in the morning. From afar, the buffet looked amazing. However, each morning the eggs were full of water, the waffles were soggy, and the food lukewarm at best. Staff tends to hang out back in the kitchen, rarely making rounds to check on drinks or for any other needs. Again, very nice. But not really attentive. The evening reception in the lounge was unremarkable. Honor bar was a fantastic touch. However, the food again was disappointing, over over seasoned and cold, despite sitting in the warming trays. Each night I tried something different at the restaurant. Temperatures were inconsistent, usually it was very heavily salted. On my last night multiple people sent food back from the bar for various issues. There happened to be a special event going on, and when speaking with the food and beverage supervisor, the special event seemed to be the focus. The pool area has been closed the entire time. Here for business. Not a lot of accommodations in the area to choose from. I would give this property another chance, but they need to step up their game. Not a ton of options in this area for accommodations.

What a gem! Enjoying brunch here was the perfect way to spend a Sunday in Hattiesburg. Their cozy…read moredining room is elegant and classy, but with a causal flare to it which makes it comfortable for anyone and any occasion! Our server was great - so personable and friendly - and speedy! Our drinks came out quickly and were soooo good! My boyfriend had the breakfast old fashioned adorned with a crispy slice of bacon! And I had the pineapple jalapeño mimosa (fyi, they even have mimosa flights!) The food was out of this world - I'm not kidding. I barely finish my plate anywhere, but their Downtowner Steak Caesar Salad made the clean-plate-club. It's served with two toasted crostinis which were seasoned well and perfectly crispy. My boyfriend had the grits & grillades - Came out looking so good I had to steal a bite. It was divine! Because everything we tasted had been so delicious, we then had to try dessert so we got the crème brûlée. It was my first time trying it, but I swear I felt like my soul had left my body lol. It was crispy on top, perfectly sweetened and balanced and topped with a dollop of whipped cream and strawberries. Amazing! We absolutely will be back and honestly can't wait until next time. 10/10!

Bourbon on Front didn't just take my money -- it took my heart and politely handed me a fork…read more First off, Mallory deserves a promotion, a raise, or possibly a holiday named after her. She was friendly, sharp, and knew the menu and the bourbon list like a sommelier who also grew up at in her parent's restaurant/bar. Let's talk about the $34 steak night deal -- I came in expecting "good for the price." What I got was "I'm suspicious this kitchen loves me personally." My steak was cooked absolutely perfectly and seasoned so well I considered hugging the chef. The Caesar salad was crisp and classic, the kind that makes you feel like you're being healthy right before you absolutely abandon that plan. Let's talk about the MVP now -- the sweet potato mash with candied pecans. I would like to publicly apologize to my steak because it was no longer the star of the plate. I would order a full bowl of the sweet potato mash if I could. The Bourbon of the Month (Barrell Dovetail) paired ridiculously well. Smooth, rich, and dangerous -- the kind of pour that convinces you that you've made excellent life decisions. I finished with the king cake bread pudding which was the perfect mic drop to the meal especially on Fat Tuesday. This is hands down the best steakhouse I've found in the city. Great food, great service, great pours, super clean restaurant and bar-- Bourbon on Front is officially a "I am coming back and bringing friends" place.
