Came here after a disastrous lunch at RIPs in Bowie and a trip to a somewhat nearby beach. I found this place on Yelp and I cannot say enough good things about the food! I had a pulled pork sandwich that was big enough for two people. I also got a side of mac & cheese, which to be honest was a little too liquid cheesy for me so I would pass on that next time. After I ordered, I was talking to one of the employees and he advised me next time to get the sliders so I could try more things. Because I don't live in that area unfortunately. I think if I did, I would go every week! The prices are much higher than the menu picture here, but I suppose that is true at most places these days. The staff was extremely friendly and you could tell they cared a lot about the food they were serving. The only negative is the lack of seating inside. They have a few benches, but they don't really look like they're designed for dining. There were some outdoor picnic tables, but I tried to eat there and some sort of insects showed up so I ended up eating in my car. I found a few other places in this area that I want to try, but I am definitely going to bring a cooler in the car next time cause I would love to get some stuff to take home and try some more of their sides! Some benches outside though. Mostly pick ups only, no sit in! Pit Beef was pretty much a roast beef sandwich. Kind of dry, not as much flavor as I would like but still it's ok, and sauces are accessible on the side. You can add sauces yourself later on. But large serving of meat which was nice!! I went to school in Southern Alabama and pit BBQ is a religion down there. It takes a good bit to impress me and they do every time! My favorite is the Tuesday and Friday special of the open face beef with gravy. I would take a bath in that gravy! On any of the pit beef you can ask for as you like and I always ask for it on the rarer side. There is probably 2/3 pound of meat plus fries for $9. The regular pit is $7 and huge as well. They are super nice and also have a bunch of BBQ sauces and horseradish. The only drawback is that I travel a lot and when I get back I find that my mom has snuck in multiple pit sandwiches, which are not on either of their diets. It is just that good read more

Besides the Carolina BBQ, we love the sliced pork loin sandwich. Flavored just right and tender. The chili is very good also. Try the very good chili and of course the beef sandwiches which are staked. There are specials everyday. However the pulled chicken (that day) had great flavor but was rubbery and chewy.
