0 stars, but it doesn't give me that option. very high pressure sales, promised things that were not communicated or written down for the construction crew. They measured for the window wrong, so that could not be done the same day as the shower. The window was in the shower area and we were told that there is not am option for any type of frosted glass when it was being installed, but it was stated in the sales pitch that absolutely it would be. We went 6+ weeks with a tension rod and plastic on the window just to use the shower. After the shower was installed they never reordered the window that was measured wrong and marked the job completed. There is no communication from those who make the decisions and little to no desire on anyone's part to call and check on the satisfaction of the work done. We would not have gone with them in the first place but were told certain things during the consultation that seemed like the work crew had no idea what was going to be happening. We hired this compan on the assumption that they were professionals doing the job. That was not the experience at all. I interacted with one person who came to check on some of the minor concerns and I do feel he could tell immediately that there were problems and worked on our behalf to get things done right. I've been researching solar shades for my lanai door and came across this company. They seem to have lots of great reviews according to Google and even Yelp, so I sent an email to ask an initial question about the opaqueness of the shades. I never got a response, and figured maybe it was overlooked, so I tried again. Days later and still no answer. I could call them, but really, if email is not actually an option for communication, then why offer an email address? Hopefully my experience is just a fluke but a lack of good communication does not make me trust a business. After looking specifically for low reviews (on Google Maps), it seems communication is indeed a known issue. read more

Needed a shower replaced. They were here from 8am to 9pm. After messing up three times, they decided they would have to come back and finish it. They said we could use the shower after 24 hours though. It leaked and made a huge mess. We had company and really needed that shower to work. They didn't come back on the day they said they would..the part didn't come in is what they said. We didn't need anything, but a piece of wall paneling. They came over a month later and it took them 9 hours. Would not recommend West Shore to anyone. read more

Bought motorized shades about 4 years ago which the owner, Matt said was state of the art and the fabric had just come out. Long story short they never worked properly. In bringing them up and down I was told that you can't have them down when it's windy. They had to come out countless times to rewind the shades since they stopped working. Then I had problems with the Motor and Matt said they don't even service that anymore nor do they offer it since they are now selling a much more expensive product. He suggested I call the manufacturer -- after spending $5000 I expect more support than being told -- we're having lots of problems with those motors and don't service them anymore. Now I'm replacing them with a better product from a company that hopefully stands behind their product -- this was an incredible waste of money and time! Buyer beware!! read more

We signed a contract to have our bathroom remodeled with new shower. They started 10/23/24 and just finished today 11/06/24 on what was supposed to be a 2 day install. After the first install which had the craftsmanship of a 12 year old and the GM knew it, and he refused to address the floor which was part of the contract. So, the GM had a new crew come out and tear it down and put in another shower with a different team and did some work on the floor that time. The second team was much better, but the chrome covers were caulked on or left loose on the hand rails and shower head. But even then, the scheduler called and told me they would be out the day before, I waited around all day, without a call or anything. The scheduler apologized and said the tech didn't notice the job, was assigned to him. For the price we paid for this, I really feel West Shore Homes, just didn't care. Period! read more

I love my shades! I have had problems. Parts that attach to Ty rods would get worn out quickly, within a year, but eventually it got fixed. Bob who runs things did eventually get ahold of me to tell me things to fix it was happening. The owner Mathew did come here with Bob one day see what was happening with my screens with Bob. So they are working as they are suppose to. Cross my fingers it's good. But I really do think the screens are really good. read more

Had three retractable screens installed on my back pool patio and they are fantastic. The process from the estimate to contract and final installation went incredibly smooth. Highly recommend West Shore Shade and motorized screens on both sides of our back porch! We now can enjoy our beautiful back yard and pond with a single push of a button. Service was excellent. Workmanship outstanding! We got the best regarding mildew, insects in the housing and wind. They even redid our screen door and the little bit of screen to its left. They left the place spotless and when a couple of adjustments were needed, they came right out and took care of it right away. It has been almost 8 months since we had them installed and this is probably the best outdoor enhancement we have made, even over the pavers in the driveway and front sidewalk. read more

I had WS Shade out for a quote on a 2 car garage motorized screen in December 2020. About 6-8 months later the cost went up $1000. They were unwilling to honor the previous quote.
