I have always had good service there and I normally order the fish and I love it! I just wish they were open till 9.

I was there last Friday to try their Prime Rib. I would have to say that it was the worst Prime Rib I have ever had. It was cold, tough and smelled like it was a week old. They were out of baked potatoes. Their mashed potatoes tasted like paste and the gravy was most likely out of a grocery store jar. I also ordered a bloody Mary, but they couldn't make it. A large group of 12 , with3 wheelchairs had made reservations the day before going. Spins an arriving we searched for the ramp for wheelchairs. Very tight 3 level ramp. One of the wheelchairs was a little larger (36") and not able to fit through the door frame. Had to ask the person stand fold the chair up and then move forward. Embarrassing for my friend! The table was not set up to accommodate the 3 wheelchairs and so ourselves move the tables and chairs to accommodate. Bathrooms are FAR CRY from being wheelchair accessible. The room that takes for a person using wheelchair to move freely was not accessible and You cannot reach the soap dispenser and paper towel. In the way out going down the ramp scared the daylights out of them. Such a huge disappointment! Food wise , it was average , hash browns were the kind you soak in water then fry. Food was hot and delivered quickly to the table. I ordered the 4 piece perch dinner with French Fries and button mushrooms. The fish was tasty but not especially crispy. The first were very crispy. I had imagined that the mushrooms would be in butter but they were fried. They were hot and crispy. Overall, nothing special about the food. For a busy Sunday morning, they did the best they could. But we just weren't blown away by the food or service. I got the biscuits and gravy with fried potatoes. I loved the option to put fried potatoes with the gravy, the potatoes were crispy and delicious. I just wish the gravy had more sausage. My fiancé got the Belgium waffle breakfast with over medium eggs and bacon. He said the breakfast was decent overall, the waffle was just a little dry. Our server was super sweet, I felt bad she seemed so rushed and flustered and she forgot to bring the hot sauce we requested. read more

Not a respectable place to enjoy a meal. I just moved to Logansport in December. Decided to eat here with my husband and brother in-law after church. The waitress couldn't keep her hands off my husband. Very disrespectful towards a wife. I finally had to tell her to keep her hands off of him. My husband ordered fried chicken ( that takes 20 mins) no problem. I ordered a hamburger. But my food came out not so fresh from sitting waiting on his chicken to fry. A big problem. I am not a fan. Made for an unpleasant humiliating experience. I guess if your a man looking for a stroke this is the place to get it. I went there with my mom for a biscuit and gravey breakfast. While I was enjoying my meal I bit into something hard. It looked like a dog's tooth. I called the waitress over , who took the tooth looking thing in my meal back to the cook. The next thing I know the Waitress Rudely Grabs a up both our meals and slapped a ticket on the table for The ENTIRE MEALS. Living in Logansport I can say this is a diamond in the rough. Welcoming staff and atmosphere. Great daily specials at a very fair price. Ham and bean soup every day and it's very good. The owner was there in the mix and the staff as a whole are top notch, caring individuals that clearly love their job and their customers. It's uplifting to see this day and age. Food is great and there's something for everyone as well as a fully stocked BAR. The whole dining experience is so positive it makes one write a review to help others discover the West Side Diner. Not a fan! Met some friends in Logansport for breakfast on Saturday. Our friends chose the place. Our server was pleasant, but not really attentive. We all ordered something different and because we were with our friends, who recommended the place, didn't say much during our meal. My wife and I compared notes and both were on the same page. Not good! My biscuits and gravy were bland in taste. The pancakes tasted as if they were slightly overcooked or were prepared on a griddle that was in need of being cleaned. When checking out, the cashier make no comments, no eye contact and simply took the payment --- not impressed with Hoosier Hospitality. All and all -- no reason to every go there again. read more

I'm very confused by this place. I expected a diner with a little bit of west side hood and instead got a normal restaurant with older people? On top of this you have a tall groot like character walking around the place. The food was decent in the end at least. I got a Denver omelette and was actually impressed with how fast they got it there from Denver. Anyway. Keep up the good work guys. Your "West Side Diner" was nice. read more

Went for breakfast with my wife, 2 kids and my parents. My mother and my daughter ordered "homemade soup that just got done cooking" but came out COLD. My wife's biscuits and gravy were super bland. And my dad and I ordered a breakfast platter and the sausage patties we got were PRE-cooked microwaveable patties that they through on the flat top. Tasted HORRIBLE. The server was nice about taking it off our bill but the manager/owner guy just said "sorry it wasn't to your taste but it's what we serve here."..... really? Is it that much more expensive to get real sausage?!?! Avoid this place and try Bullshippers instead. read more

I have eaten here many, many times and enjoyed everything I've ordered; breakfast omelet is huge, fluffy, hot and good. The white fish is excellent, tenderloin sandwiches both breaded and grilled are very good; house salads are not huge but they are always so fresh, cool and crisp! I ordered prime rib for the first time recently- the small cut - but it was was so big I could barely eat it all and it was just the way I ordered and so delicious! We've never had anything but good, friendly service and are always thanked for coming in when we pay the bill. read more

Stopped in and was pleasantly surpised with some very good food and service! Fried chicken livers were excellent but the ham and bean soup was fantastic - smokey, ham chunks were plentiful and beans that weren't mushy! Fried fish is excellent, side of cole slaw was delicious. The hostess/owners wife was rude when I came in to let her know we were there for our reservations. The menu was limited I think, the waitress wad good, very peasant. Had to wait for more than an hour for our good. Not really impressed. read more

A full menu sit down family style restaurant. Great food choices with some classic menu items. I had the liver and onions, the were fantastic. They have smelt on the menu, this will be my next meal. My wife and I had the special lake perch. I sometime get the seafood platter that comes with perch-haddock-shrimp and clams. That entre is $13.99 Last night I got the 7 piece lake perch dinner. It came out and there were 7 tiny pieces of fish,the size of smelt. I thought, ok this is the special- must be $6.99 noooooooooooo it was $13.99 and my wife got the 4 piece, hers was $8.99.
