Great place in a quaint town. Came to Logansport on a one day business trip and looked up breakfast places. We landed on this place! So glad we did! Food was fantastic! Homemade taste. All the patrons seemed to know each other and the entire staff! Listening to small town conversation was a relaxing distraction from the bigger city life. Feel good food in a feel good place. Cash only. You seat yourself. Lisa, our server, was very friendly and efficient. Food came out fast and hot. Plenty of parking and the place was easy to find. Coffee was so great on this cold day!

Visited on a Saturday morning during Labor Day weekend and it was very busy, but the service was great. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, kept our drinks full and took our orders in a timely manner. The food was ok, nothing memorable, but good. Prices were budget friendly and portions made our meals a good value. Quality of the food was ok, nothing remarkable. The owner was overseeing the dining room and making sure things were the way he wanted and that customers were given attention needed. He wasn't overly friendly, but our waitress and the hostess kind of made up for it.

My husband and I decided to eat here for breakfast instead of Bob Evans and the other options in town bc of the high ratings. We were so glad we did. The atmosphere is just what we expected. We came in for breakfast and then couldn't decide if maybe we wanted lunch bc the lunch special looked so good. My husband got the everything omelette and the cook made bacon pancakes per my request. It was DELICIOUS! My husband ate all of the omeltte and two pieces of toast. I couldn't eat all of the pancakes but took the rest to go. We also ordered the beef and noodles with mashed potatoes to go to eat later tonight for dinner! Great Service, Nice Staff. The owner was there making sure things were going smoothly. Talked to him afterwards and he was a sweet man. Definitely recommend this place if you are starving. You will not leave hungry. And that's no BS!

Soccer regionals were held in Logansport and after a tough loss, we brought the girls to Bullshippers Cafe. The team has 22 players, 4 coaches, and potentially 22 families. The restaurant is cash only but the owner was willing to make an exception for us. They welcomed us with open arms, and we were given wonderful service. Every waitress was positive and kept drinks full. Our food came out as it finished but in a timely manner for so many people. The owner spent time talking and joking with the girls. Absolutely no orders were wrong and everyone loved their food. And to top it all off, the owner ended up footing the bill for the ENTIRE team. Absolutely incredible hospitality from a small town restaurant that easily could've been annoyed to have such a huge group come in. Not to mention, the chili was perfect-not too spicy but so flavorful. We will definitely be back.

Half serving of biscuits and gravy with two scrambled egg. Yum! Ham and eggs special was very delicious.

Prices are way to high, portions were a lot smaller than some of the other breakfast places in town.

I counted five booths and five counter stools that stayed full during our visit. The staff (a couple) are salt-of-the-earth sweet and hustle to keep orders coming. They know the regulars by name and cajole about family. The menu offers breakfast or lunch, with tenderloins as the featured items. Prices are inexpensive. Food comes out quickly. The tenderloins are premade and frozen. They are thin and the breading is flavorful. I had the daily special, a Tenderloin Manhattan which came with green beans and mashed potatoes. This was pure comfort food. The potatoes and tenderloin were good, but the gravy was over salty for me. My husband had the tenderloin sandwich with fries. The tenderloin was ok and the fries were really hot and good. An article on the wall indicated that Artie, the original owner, passed away in an auto accident in 1954. A local business award plaque hung above our table. I'm not sure that the shop is A.D.A. compliant as there are steps at the front door and the aisle is very narrow. There may be a ramp at a rear entrance, I couldn't tell. We found free street parking on an adjacent street. I give the place high marks on character and I love the service. The food is ok.

But I was visiting West Lafayette, and it was morning, and I was feeling a little "under the weather," as my Polish grandmother would say when she went too hard on the Bud Lites the night before. So breakfast at Triple XXX it was, because I could walk there from the Purdue campus, and this restaurant is a West Lafayette institution. I got the Triple XXX Breakfast Special: two over-medium eggs, bacon, fried potatoes and wheat toast. And it was good, you know? It was simple and hearty. I especially liked the fried potatoes. But what really took it over the top is when my server, who was incredibly friendly, told me that she could bring me some root beer jelly to go along with my wheat toast. Record scratch. Say what, lady? Root beer jelly? Yes, Triple XXX makes their own root beer jelly, and they also sell it by the jar. (I bought a jar.) They are famous for their root beer, which is sold nationwide, so I guess it makes sense that they would also make root beer jelly. It tastes exactly the way you would think it would. It tastes like root beer! It's delicious. The seating at this restaurant is interesting: All of the seats are bar seats, and they face the middle of the kitchen. There were no tables or booths that I saw, unless you wanted to go outside and sit at one of the picnic tables on the patio. I liked this seating setup, because I could watch the action happen before my very eyes. The black coffee was very good. It better be, at a place like this! This is the kind of greasy spoon restaurant where old timers stay a while with a cup of coffee and a newspaper. (There were three such people doing something like that when I visited, as a matter of fact.) It's just a comfortable part of the West Lafayette community.

I ordered a double cheeseburger with just ketchup to taste the burger alone. My wife ordered the peanut butter burger, and we ordered curly fries to share. My burger was great, the flavor and quality of the fresh ground steak makes a big difference in the flavor being so good. My wife is a fan of the peanut butter on the burger, and we both like the bun used. We both got root beer, which is a step above all other root beers I have tasted, which also probably has to do with quality ingredients. I am a fan of Triple XXX, and so is my wife. We will be back to try out the other menu items and breakfast!
