This business takes packages (and hold them) from Amazon and refuses to deliver them to the customers. No matter how many times you ask them to leave your packages at your door - they will continue to hold your packages and then refuse to deliver them to your door. This has become a big problem. They will mark your packages as delivered and it will say that the packages are delivered at your door, and when you check around and even contact Amazon, everything will look as if the packages were left at your door. And when you call this business they will tell you that you will have to come and pick up your packages. This is very frustrating - this is theft of property. They are taking our packages from off of the Amazon trucks and marking the packages as delivered to our doors, and then they will take them to that store and refuse to complete the delivery to the customers. Also they will threaten to call the police if you come to the store and ask them repeatedly to stop taking the packages and then refusing to deliver them to your door. I would not be surprised if the police believes that this is being done with permission or consent from the customers - they probably think that the customers are picking up their packages from this store because they actually would prefer to pick them up instead of having them delivered to their doors. I shop at Amazon because I can have my packages delivered to my door - that is the reason why everyone shops at Amazon - that is the reason why it is a trillion dollar a year business. The genius is in the quick home delivery. Update - Upon returning from my dentist appointment just a couple of hours later - I had another package that was to be delivered. The delivery driver damaged my package - he broke up every item in the package and the maintenance guy in this building threw away my package. They obviously decided to throw a temper tantrum because I want my items delivered to my door as per Amazons' sales pitch - and in response they damaged my items and then threw them away - all without my knowledge. I had to contact Amazon and request a full refund so that I can reorder my items. read more

Terrible service. Tried to up sell things that I did not need and force it to me. Told me they could print return and send address labels but not individual because their printer doesn't work like that. I googled their printer, it does. They just wanted me to mass buy labels that I did not need. Terrible experience. Lying to upsell is cruel. Instead they got no sale. read more

I was charged twice the cost of a toner cartridge because I was told by staff that this was the price he saw at the company website. I just bought a mouse that no longer works a week later. First off the storefront picture that is currently up on this business is wrong. That is the picture of their other location on West 99th Street & Broadway. This store is on Broadway between 109th & 108th Street. I have put up two pictures of the inside of the store. I love this store. I'm getting married soon and wanted to make my own wedding invitations. Yes ladies it can be done. You can just Google wedding invitation templates or go to Etsy.com. There is a ton of stuff out there. They have just about every colored envelope that you can imagine. When you buy a set of 30 envelopes you get a certain number free. They also sell Card Stock paper. You know the kind of paper that invitations are printed on. This paper is so thick that people will think that you bought the invitations from a printer. I got a pack of these for an obscenely low price. With these and other items, I was able to create my own invitations with envelopes. This store offers so many items that I suggest that you take your time and look around. read more

Came in here to browse for some nice pens and was promptly shadowed through the store by an employee who apparently decided I looked super shady and likely to rob the place. Because this joint is so small it became obvious pretty quick that this was happening. Dude stood near me every time I moved and when I went around a corner and crouched to inspect some folders he almost fell over himself getting into the aisle to check up on me. My first time coming here after running out of print ink mid print. Their prices are actually reasonable comparing to online and they offered me a ream of paper half price for purchasing both ink refills. To top it off I had my girls with me and they gave them each a coloring book for free off the shelf. Girls loved the resident cat. I will definitely be back. Great experience. They are very helpful and if you like being left alone it's not their thing because they want to help. Cutest little stationary spot. They have quite outdated stationary, but thats what makes this place so charming. Don't fret - they have modern stationary as well. During my first visit, I purchased an art portfolio and a fancy little file holder for a total of 11 bucks. Not bad for the quality of items I purchased. Added & unexpected bonus: I used cash and the cashier gave me a little discount. It wasn't much, but I appreciated the gesture. The cashier is a friendly elderly gentleman who was very helpful. They have other items here that I want to take a look at when I have more time. It was nice to find a "mom & pop" neighborhood gem. West side stationary store is one of the best places that I've discovered to purchase school supplies. Their prices are very reasonable, the place is clean, and the staff is super helpful, easy going and most of all friendly. They even have a cat, Mish Mish, who I enjoy seeing. The owner of the store also has two other locations by Columbia University. (There was a third one, which closed down on 109th street). I feel very lucky to live walking distance near there, and I am grateful how helpful they've been. read more

I love this place. The owner moved from a location closer to Columbia University a number of years ago where he had been for at least as long. Though they don't have everything under the sun, they do have a surprising array of quality items for their size (especially if you are willing to dig a bit). I have collected quite a few interesting gems that had made their way over from the original location which I treasure highly (and could never have found at the Michaels a few avenues over). If you are looking for a very specific product in a certain color to finish up a project, maybe give them a call, however. The prices could be higher (though you can potentially find some of it online for less), and the aisles could be more narrow - in my book worth a little rummaging and scrimping elsewhere to support one of the few small local businesses with character. read more

If possible, this place should get 0 stars. I called with the service rep from Blumberg in Brooklyn to see if there were legal sized Will backs and legal sized bond paper. A man who identified himself as the manager said they carried them. I made the trip and then the "manager" laughingly told me there were neither. He denied that I asked for Will backs, and said I asked for blue backs. This place is a joke and no legal professional should ever go there. It will be a trip in vain, guaranteed. Especially beware the "manager" - I had to wait for 10 minutes while he took a personal call behind the desk in the middle of my inquiry. read more

I wanted to find a place could offer notary services (and when you google, this place is listed; it is also listed on the front door as a service provided). To be honest, the person at the desk in the morning in the last few days, could care less that a customer was even in the store. The person appeared to be studying a textbook at the register and was having a personal phone call during most of the time that I was in the store. The second time that I was in the store and made the query, the answer was a shoulder shrug and "maybe the person who does that would appear later." No phone number offered, no attempt to confirm, etc. I buy stationary and trinkets, too, but if that is someone's attempt for a minor service, I would rather support any other store on the block. read more
