The place looks old and not great curb appeal, but we had a blast! The score keeping is up to date and they have a separate open bar. They allow you to choose to bowl by time or by game, which I think is excellent. I would come here again.

Worst bowling experience ever!!! Doesn't even deserve one star! Went bowling with 4 people on a Monday evening (around 5:30p). Purchased 8 games (2 per person) with a pair of shoes each and total was $21.00. Not a bad price but boy did we get what we paid for! The bowling alley was about half full. So not super crowded or busy. The selection of required bowing shoes was slim and disgusting! My husband wears a size 13 and they only had 3 choices, one was a Velcro strap and two were laced, both laced shoes were so worn down his heel was hitting the floor, and one of them he said was still soggy and wet like someone had been wearing them all day! Yuck! It was so bad he had to trade the shoes in! Disgusting! Our balls kept getting stuck at every round. We had to go to the front desk and ask for help retrieving our balls at least a handful of times before they moved us to the next lane over. After using that lane for less than ten minutes, the same thing happened where all the balls were stuck and not returned. The lane also dropped an incomplete set (not all 10 pins were set to start, there were pins missing in the setup) and we have to get help fixing that as well. We had to complain again and ask for our money back which they didn't give us and proceeded to move us once again to another broke ass lane. All of this in less than an hour of bowling! At this point we had been there for just under an hour and hadn't even gotten to the 6th frame and had already been moved to three lanes! While the final lane didn't pose as many issues as the first two, it had janky ass hard wood seats that looked like someone in Woodshop made them and our lane was right next to the hazardous Woodshop area (inside the bowling alley!!) each time I had to go to the front desk, there were at least 3 people there and they were all chatting with each other (non-work related) to where I had to interrupt their personal conversation to get service. We were very disappointed with this visit as we have been coming to this bowling alley for over 10 years however due to this experience and what a run down dump this place has become, we won't be coming back! We rather drive to a surrounding city (like Manteca) then pay to have another shitty experience like this!

Thank you West Valley Bowl, Mal, Cody, Jim and Justin for a great event! We rented out the entire facility for an appreciation event for our staff this past Sunday and we had a blast! There aren't many venues in the Tracy area that can accommodate 100+ people for a decent price, and though the interior needs some updating the service was excellent the night of our event. Justin was working hard to help me set up tables, drinks and clean up. We were able to set up our own registration tables in the front, additional tables for our catered dinner & balloons. Cody allowed us to DJ our own music and our team had so much fun with the cosmic bowling black light theme. We will gladly use West Valley Bowl as a venue for our events in the future

Looks like the bar is closed for the foreseeable future.

Not like I've been to a lot of bowling alleys but here's some of my key takeaways from this place…read moreand how I'm swayed towards giving them a better review than maybe they deserve. 1) they have a summer pass that gets you 2 free games a day, free shoe rental, $5 worth of arcade credits a day and 10-15% off of food and drinks (non alcoholic). I got the premium and that's around $66 or so. 2) they have a ton of lanes and we have never had to wait. 3) the food, at least the pizza, is pretty decent considering it's a bowling alley. They also have a pizza and pitcher combo (non alcoholic or beer) that's pretty reasonably priced. Now here's some of the downsides: 1) there's been service issues in the past in terms of us ordering and then the kitchen not getting the order. Also some common sense issues. Like they were offering free drinks to summer pass holders and they only gave us 1 drink for free even though there were 2 summer pass holders. It's not that hard to just give us the 2nd drink and not put it in the system as a charge (at least I wouldn't think?). We didn't fight it because we didn't want to be difficult. 2) It seems like 1/3 to 1/2 of the games in the arcade are partially or completely broken and/or out of order. 3) A lot of the balls have like cracks or chunks missing and some of the lanes mess up the pins from time to time. They probably deserve a 3/5 but the summer pass is have to say bumps them up to a 4.

All of the attractions were closed with the exception of the go karts and the 3-D theater. We had the 6 attractions included in our party package. When I spoke to the lead regarding my frustrations she claimed that all attractions were open earlier in the day. It doesn't help when you have a party later in the day. My party went out to the boats and there was no attendant. When asked about the bumper cars, we were told they do not work and there was no staff to help with that attraction. It would have been nice to know that the attractions were going to be closed 3.The lead refused to give me her name when asked and was very rude towards me. 4. Very disappointed in our visit. First of all, all of the social media posts we see about this…read moreplace, shows adults going down the slides with their children. We were informed that adults are NOT allowed on the second story of the play structure and cannot accompany our child on the slides. Our 21 month old had to stay on the first floor the whole visit. She started getting upset that we wouldn't allow her to follow the other kids up to the slides. I asked an employee why we couldn't go down the slides with our daughter and she said per new ownership, they changed the rules. Except recent videos (as of today) on social media of people advertising this place show adults going down the slides. We also witnessed adults walking around the top floors with their kids and going down the slides. It seems that the rules aren't applicable to everyone. Tons of balls in the ball pit were deflated, the ball cannon shooters were not working and that's pretty much all there is to do if you stay on the ground floor. Older kids can play in the ball pit and it's simply way too small for that. My daughter was terrified of the older kids running and jumping into the pit around her. It was a rainy day outside and very crowded. I asked one of the floor workers if she could turn on the giant overhead fan to help move some air around since it was very muggy and warm and she said she had to ask the owner first. She even admitted she was getting hot as well. 20 minutes went by and it was never turned on. I guess it doesn't work? Not sure why you need to ask the owner for permission to turn on a fan. The layout could use a little rearranging. It's a cool concept, just not executed nearly as well as others with the same idea. For the price, $40-ish for two adults to accompany their toddler, it's absolutely not worth it. We won't be returning. Also keep in mind, if you order tickets and sign the waiver ahead of time, you'll still have to wait in line behind people who didn't. Just one person in front of us with one child took 15 minutes to buy their tickets and sign the waiver. Once we were checked in which took less than 5 minutes, the line was out the door. There are also no lockers to safely put your belongings in, just open cubby's.

It's gotten to the point where I expect bad service, but last night really pushed it over the edge. We came in for my brother's birthday after I got off work late. There were 8 of us total, but only 6 people actually wanted to bowl. Simple enough, right? I asked the employee how many people were allowed per lane, and he said 5. So I explained that we wanted 2 lanes--3 people on each--and that I would pay for one lane while my brother's friend would pay for the other. For some reason, this turned into a whole unnecessary issue. He immediately got argumentative and told me "you can't just get one lane," which made zero sense because we were literally getting two lanes--just splitting the payment between two people. Instead of just processing it like a normal transaction, he was rude, impatient, and acted like I was asking for something completely unreasonable. I genuinely don't understand why it had to be so complicated. We weren't asking for anything special--just to pay separately for two lanes. Isn't that the whole point? Taking money from customers? Between the attitude, the lack of basic customer service, and how unnecessarily difficult they made everything, this place just isn't worth the hassle. There are plenty of other bowling alleys out there that actually treat people with respect. I won't be coming back. Is everyone that works here an ass?
