I was disappointed with my experience at Earl Anthony's Dublin Bowl. We booked ahead expecting the process to be fairly organized, but when we arrived, there were no lanes available and we were told the wait would be more than two hours. Making a booking in advance did not seem to make much difference. The bowling alley was extremely packed, which made the atmosphere feel crowded and unorganized rather than enjoyable. The biggest issue was the lack of assistance. No one seemed available to explain the delay, help us understand when a lane might open, or offer another solution. I understand that bowling alleys can get busy, especially during popular hours, but a wait of more than two hours after booking ahead was unreasonable. Better communication, more attentive service, and a more reliable booking system would have made a major difference. My kids are at the age now where we can go bowling, and I'm so glad we came here! It's a pretty big bowling alley that has a lounge for the 21+ crowd and arcade games. They even have a dip and dots machine. During the summer, kids bowl for free (with the coupon) so I only had to pay for shoe rentals. Their food is reasonably priced. My husband ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which was surprisingly good and I had chicken strips and fries. They were okay. I would get a pizza next time. Worst service ever. I went to the food area to order a pizza and was told they were closed for maintenance, which I understood. I came back later just to get a soda, and they told me I had to go to the bar. When I got to the bar, the bartender told me they don't serve it there and sent me right back to the food area. I was literally being sent back and forth just trying to buy a soda. No one seemed to know what was going on, and the customer service was terrible. What a joke. Earl Anthony's Dublin Bowl reminds me of the TV show Cheers. It's a place where everybody knows your name. Well not exactly your name, but the staff recognizes all of the regular bowlers that come here. A medium size bowling alley and well kept. There are enough tables to sit at while waiting for lanes, and if you are waiting, there are digital boards, displaying the waitlist. Very convenient. Because I have the flexibility, I enjoy bowling when the lane fees are cheaper. Sunday nights, weekday mornings. You can generally get a lane immediately as well. Starlight bowling is also enjoyable. That's when they turn off all the lights, strobe lights come on, and video screens are playing popular music. Well, it's hard to see the lanes, it was fun. The leagues here are very popular as well. Dropped by on a Sunday evening to bowl a few rounds and had a great time. The bowling alley is kinda crackin, there were lots of people of all ages having a good time. People were bowling, eating, drinking, hanging out, playing video games, kids were running around with excitement. Great vibes all around. The bowling was fun, the lanes were nice. They have specials on certain days (check their website). The people at the front desk were nice and helpful. They have different specials for kids in an effort to get the next generation into bowling. Plenty of free parking etc. There are tons of lanes and they seem to be on top of their waiting list when a waiting list is necessary. On Monday we had my 8yr old's bday party, 330-530. Leading up to the party, I worked with Mike R. (Party coordinator) to book the date, finalize the food items, # of attendees etc. I found out Friday before the party he hadn't received the party form I'd previously sent, so I was a little nervous I was only now learning it wasn't received. He was supposed to call Saturday to finalize stuff but that also didn't happen. IT ALL WORKED OUT!, have faith :) despite a strict No Outside Food Allowed policy, he DID ok us bringing in outside fruit so I could balance pizza/tots/fries, which I truly appreciate. Thanks Mike for all your help! The party itself was great. I made sure attendees knew in advance that the bowling is only one hour, followed by an hour for food cake etc. This worked well for a dozen first graders with lots of energy and limited attention span! PARTY HOST NOAH! Dude was great. I must've missed it somewhere in the party package that we get a dedicated person helping with the party. He got shoes for the kiddos, kid-sized bowling balls, helped with the bumpers and the game console, brought the food n drinks out, sliced n served cake... he did it all and was super communicative, always helpful, and nice to the kiddos. He mentioned that the day before he hosted multiple parties at once, so I felt extra taken care of since we were the only party on the books. ALSO!, at the end of the party they have all the kids sign a Happy Birthday bowling pin... so awesome, what a great memento! Yes we had Noah sign it too :) Two hour time limit was enforced bc they had league bowling that night. Which worked well for us, kiddos were done within about 90min of arriving! I had previously visited Earl Anthony's Dublin Bowl with my family and really enjoyed it, which is why we planned to return the day after Christmas. Knowing it would be busy around 5:00 p.m., I called ahead to get on the waitlist for 3 people. The employee I spoke with told me there were about 45 people ahead of us and an estimated wait time of an hour and a half. We were fine with that, so I asked him to put my name on the list. About 20 minutes later, I called back to check in and see if they would notify us as our spot got closer. Unfortunately, the employee I spoke with then said our name was not on the waitlist at all -- despite being told earlier that it had been added. This was extremely disappointing and frustrating. Had we shown up close to the estimated wait time, we would have found out we were never on the list in the first place. They really need a more reliable waitlist system or better staff training to make sure customers aren't missed. Because of this experience, I won't be returning. Extremely disappointed. read more

This place is always busy! I drive by often on my way to the freeway and there are always cars in the lot. I mean, definitely a good thing. I love seeing businesses with business! It was a 25 min wait for a lane on a Sunday night at 6pm. There are arcade games, a lounge with a bar, and a food service counter while you wait. I also saw a pro shop but it was closed when we were there. The staff are friendly and the vibes are good here. As far as cost goes, a little pricey in the bowling alley realm but a fun activity for any day or night of the week. And they're open late for all you night owls out there! read more

My family LOVES this wonderful bowling alley. My husband registered our kids to bowl free for the summer so we go 2-3 times a week. The folks working at the register are always super kind and helpful. The alley is clean and I've never had any issues with the lanes. They have automatic bumpers so we can easily bowl as a family without any hassle. The women working at the snack bar are great and the food comes quickly. Being part of a plaza with other businesses, the parking lot can get quite full during peak times. We came later in the evening around 9-10pm and there was 3 groups ahead of us on the wait list. Luckily there are 10+ lanes here so one opened up fairly quick after we grabbed some drinks and waited at a table for a moment. Decent selection of different weight and finger size bowling balls. Seems like the shoes they rent out are quite old and uncomfortable, but that's how most rentals tend to be. I enjoyed the variety of scoreboard displays, compared to other places that don't have anything special. In my opinion, I consider under $10 per game average or on the cheaper end. I can't believe I'm finally posting my review of Earl Anthony's Dublin Bowl! This past summer we joined the Kids Bowl Free program and purchased the family pass that was also offered. We bought our own shoes and by the end of summer, we bowled over 100 games! This bowling alley is just the right mix of classic and modern. When you first step in, you notice the classic decor but as you go to bowl, you notice the scoring machines aren't from the 70s like the carpet wall logo (They have the different animation options to choose from which is always a plus with the kids). The staff here is great. We loved it so much, we decided to join their bowling league. They offer a great variety of league options and are welcoming to all. Kids leagues, handicap leagues and of course scratch leagues. (They even have a generation gap offering for families to bowl league together.) Any time you walk in, you may see corporate team building or birthday parties. Their snack bar is good. They offer usual finger foods, from burgers and sandwiches to freshly made pizza. Their bar is good as well offering a wide variety including jello shots that come in a fun syringe. Bowling alleys seem to be closing in many cities so I feel lucky to have one so close to us. Great option for some family hang out time or even a Friday night with lights and music. Also their prices are pretty decent! read more

Came here for a birthday celebration over the weekend. Got there a bit earlier and went to the bar to get a snack and a couple drinks. Eddy is one of the best bartenders I've come across. Very attentive and friendly. Which pretty much the three stars are for his customer service alone. I wish I could give 5 stars but I have to rate my whole experience. One star taken for food and one star taken for inconveniences we came across. The food quality seemed poor. The only thing decent eating was the mozzarella sticks. Other than that, the super nachos was just drenched with salsa and stuff. Just a mess to eat. Especially when brought over to us with no utensils. The chicken wings were okay. The pizzas were dry and tasted like cardboard. Now I get there's lots of birthday parties and what not. But it would help to inform parties of bowling etiquette. It's hard to bowl when kids are just not staying in their lane which uses up more of our bowling time. Even a couple next to us asked to switch to the other lanes on the other side of us because of another party not letting them have a chance to bowl. Maybe it was just a busy crazy off night. As much as nostalgic places like a bowling alley are pretty cool. I'm more so into bowlero or round 1. I mean I have better experiences at cloverleaf or even classic bowl at that. read more

This was my family's first time coming to this bowling alley. My initial thought was it was like any other bowling alley which was perfect for staying inside on this rainy day with my kids and husband. While I had fun with my family, I wasn't particularly thrilled that you could only either get a lane with bumpers or without. I have been to many that you can program it to go up during some players and go down with others. The next reason for the three stars is because right when we got there my family asked if we could order a pizza, but was told it would take more than 2+ hours. Also, the front desk seems overwhelming with just about 1 man running everything. When we were next in line and ready to pay for games and shoe rentals the phone rang about three different times and was told to hold one sec so that he could answer the phone. The man was super nice but I definitely think he needs another person for phone because checking in and getting lanes took very long as we were told to hold one sec multiple times while we stood there watching him on the phone (poor guy). read more
