I had taken the truck in after running my small computer which said it could be the pump fuel or…read morethe pump fuel module. While I waited for a while, I had to go back to work and he said it would take a while to run the diagnostics but that he would call me. Being a military member I can't be away for too long so I said it's fine. He asked me if I was sure it was the pump fuel module and I said that's what the computer told me but if he could run a diagnostics and give me a call and he said sure. He then called me and said he could have the truck fixed by the next day so I said to proceed and just call me when it's ready. Once I picked up the truck I paid around $1800 and not even 15 min after leaving the truck turned off so I called him and he said he hadn't ran a diagnostics and had just changed the pump fuel since that's what I had said I thought was wrong. I didn't want to argue because I just wanted my car fixed so he said to just bring it back and he'll fix it. He ran a diagnostics this time because I brought my husband with me and turned out it was the pump fuel module. He said he was going to order it but it's back ordered and if I could get it that he would replace it. He had one of the workers pull it out of the car and as I watched them all they did was unscrew it and pull it which was less than 5 min. I went online and ordered the piece for $250 and then brought it back the next day, he said to leave it since he was super busy but he would have it done today. When we went to pick the truck up, he had charged me more than what the piece was worth seeing as it was a job that didn't take long to change out and I ordered the piece since he couldn't find it. I can say I am never going back and wouldn't recommend this place.

My normal mechanic was out of pocket, I'm sure due to COVID-19, the Lord ordered my steps and I made it to German Auto Repair. I guess this will be my "new normal" (when I have to have repairs made that is ) I called the shop, Chuck answered the call, he addressed my concerns & provide all the information I needed to make an informed decision regarding upcoming repairs. I called back and spoke with Arnie about 10 minutes later after I altered my plans for the next day to include drop-off of my vehicle. I pulled up the next day, today, May 20th, at 7:20a for repairs. Reynaldo greeted me and fielded my issues regarding my car. He did a thorough intake and advised he would clue Chuck in when he arrived. The turn-around time was great; I don't like being without my car!!! I got a B service & another repair all by 3p!!! Boy I was excited. And happy to be back rolling. You have the option of having your diagnostic fee applied to repairs should you have them done at the repair shop. Chuck was thorough in detailing the problems with my vehicle and the associated costs. HELLO this is how vehicle repairs should be!!!!! I found cost to be in-line with other foreign vehicle repair shops. Only downfall for me, but not really a downfall, is the location. It's on the Westbank, which proves a little difficult for me to get dropped off or picked up; BUT NEXT TIME, I'll just cross the street & catch a couple movies until my vehicle is done!!! I am saving the shop's information for future repairs and if others need MB, BMW or other foreign car vehicle repairs, I'll be sure to let them know about German Auto Repair.

I went in a couple years ago to get my brake pads replaced. They let me know that I wanted too long…read moreand needed all new brakes, rotors etc. It was pretty expensive. A year and a half later, my brakes started squeaking. I got 3 different quotes, and they all said the same thing "Your brakes were never replaced, they just changed the brake pads." How disappointing that they took advantage of a young lady and put me in danger by not replacing the brakes. I would NEVER recommend and will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau.
