Do not go there. Do not ruin your clothes. Rude. They know nothing about how to care for expensive name brand coats. Ruined my son's CG coat by clearly pressing it after supposedly being dry cleaned, and most probably because they had done it wrong and ended up being wrinkled. And ruined my wife's Burberry coat where it was handed back with marks on the end of the sleeves and they unfolded it so it would not show when we picked it up. I have had clothes, comforters, ties, etc. to a few different Cleaners. I wasn't dissatisfied with their quality of work but the customer service, and the prices were a little high. I don't remember how I found Westborn Cleaners but when I called them to inquire about pricing for blankets, the young man on the phone was friendly and answered my questions. And, yes the prices were cheaper. When I took my items to be cleaned the staff was friendly, respectful I felt they would give the same respect and care to my clothes as they gave to me. BEWARE. I highly recommend avoiding Westborn Cleaners. You would be better off finding a dry cleaners facility that values integrity, takes accountability for their actions, and provides the service you paid for. Westborn Cleaners is severely unprofessional, and, unfortunately, run by a team that lacks basic ethics, integrity and does not take responsibility for their actions & accidents. Owner and staff only exacerbates the issues while projecting poor results. Save your expensive garments like Burberry coats and Canada Goose coats. The Burberry ($2000+) I picked up back was dirtier than when I dropped it clearly the chemicals or the way it was washed was done wrong, owner offered to redo it but No Thanks, if you have more than 25 years experience as you said this would of not been overlooked. And the Canada Goose ($1500+) really worn, 1 season, came back damaged along all the seams, not a spot or two as he accused it to be a wear and tear, but along every seam all over, and the fabric turned whiter in many spots. Very stupid of me didn't read the many low rating reviews left before taking it in. I would not recommend this location, to anyone. Lesson learned, and beware! read more

Westborn Cleaners is exceptional in every way. They don't just clean your clothes. They care for your garments. The owner seems to inspect nearly every garment and will quickly ask to hold your garment for a day or two for personalized care if he sees anything but perfection when you pick up. Two pairs of gym shoes that I thought were ruined came back looking like new. My white dress shirts are always immaculate and crisp. Ruined my brothers Christmas... $285 and they didn't even fix the pockets in his treasured leather coat as we discussed. We have to take it somewhere else now... That and I swear they removed the cotton lining as well, something we'll never be able to get replaced. Theres still little tears in the leather too... What did we pay for? All they did was sew up the lining. No pockets. My brothers poor face as he put his hands in the "pockets" of his treasured, "restored" coat Christmas morning and his hands went straight through.... wow! the repair they did was amazing. I have a wool baselayer shirt and one of my dogs took a chunk of out of it, when it was in the laundry basket. the lady who does the sewing patched it to a point that you can't tell anything about it and i expected just a big patch or something, but didn't care, since it is a baselayer. any repairs or alterations, trust your clothes to this shop! read more

A week ago, I visited this place for the first time. I brought in a woman's dress and two men's shirts for regular laundering. When I went to pick them up, I noticed that the two men's shirts had been charged $3.75 a piece. They were listed as women's blouse on the receipt. I pointed it out to the guy at the counter that this must have been a mistake, as those shirts are clearly labeled as men's shirts, and the price should have been $1.85 a piece. The guy shook his head and insisted that even though they are men's shirts, they are made of special materials, saying "if we used them in the robot, they would be ruined!" But the fact is, those shirts are just regular, 100% cotton men's shirts with plastic buttons!!! I had taken them to other cleaners many times before, and the price was always a dollar something!!! First they said they're women's blouse, then they said they are special materials. Really?! To me, this is dishonest business practice and a blatant rip-off! I will NOT be returning for their service ever again. If anyone's going, you'd better watch out what they charge you for. read more

We looked for a decent cleaner in the area for months before I finally stumbled across Westborn on a random drive down Monroe. Not only is this place clean, but the guy at the front counter is awesome. He's always smiling, extremely nice, and I've never had to wait longer than 24 hours for anything I've given him. I'm pretty sure it's a family owned and run business, which is even better. The prices are good and better than others in the area, $1.75 for a shirt and $5.75 for a shirt. I gave them many chances to win me over and they failed. They have a relationship with my employer and that is how I found out about them, and though they gave me a great corporate rate the low cost couldn't compete with the poor workmanship. I had to have them re-clean shirts that were not cleaned and the staff lacked expertise to make me feel confident that the clothes that I spent good money on, would be cleaned or cared for in a professional manner. Best dry cleaners and alterations out there! I originally lived in Dearborn and started going to Westborn Cleaners. They take such good care of my clothes, have awesome prices, are friendly and I trust them 100% with my designer jeans alterations. I no longer live in Dearborn, but I still only go to them. I make special trips to their cleaners because, honestly, there is no one like them! I have tried several other places for convenience reasons, but I wasn't happy with the results. Their process is simple and I can even just cuff one leg of my jeans and request the hem. Other places insist that I try them on there to be measured or I must sign a waiver. read more

These people are AMAZING! I received a dress in the mail the day of an event and it was about (at least) 3 inches too small. I called these guys and his seamstress was at their other location (Macy's cleaners, also in dearborn), but he told me she could absolutely help. I went there and dropped my dress off at 2:30....she was done by 4:30. & to top that off....my dress looked and fit FABULOUS!!!!! She was literally a miracle worker!! AVOID! Worst Cleaners Ever! I took my brand new jacket there to have some work patches sewn on. They had my work shirt as an example of where to put the patches and they apparently decided to put them on randomly. I was on my way to work so I just picked up the jacket from them and went straight to work. Once I went to put the jacket on, I realized that they totally screwed up. It was a simple task, and they failed. I tried to take the patches off to have them sewn on correctly elsewhere and there was fabric tape underneath them and the tape will not come off my jacket. My brand new jacket is ruined. Thanks for nothing! This cleaners is horrible! Only go there if you like wasting your money and time! read more

Before explaining why I am unhappy, I must first say, the staff is very pleasant, incapable of meeting needs or understanding requests but pleasant. I brought 3 suits to have fitted and paid accordingly, the price was a bit high but in my opinion you get what you pay for, if the work is good then the price doesn't matter. I needed the seats let out in the pants, tapered and hemmed, for this service I was charged $200. I return to be fitted and the hem is 2" short, the taper is not the 9" I requested and the seat was not let out in 2 pants (so I paid $200 to have the seat let out in one pant and 3 hems) I mentioned it to the tailor who suggested someone of my size typically should not go 9" on a taper as a narrower cuff is for a slimmer structure (although this was insulting, his English was not great so I assumed he was unable to express himself in a "PC" manner and ignored it). I thanked him for his opinion and insisted on my 9" cuff. I return a third time to find that my cuffs are still not 9" (now 9.5), the hem on one pant is shorter than the other and the seats still have not been let out. I ask for it to be corrected only to find out my initial $200 charge did not include the correction of two seats only one...WHY??? And now I have to pay an additional extremely high fee to have the other two seats let out. Explaining this to the young lady at the counter and venting my frustration bore no fruit as there was "little" she could do. I asked to have the hems unraveled and to have my money refunded she could not stating that she was trying to work with me. I asked her to explain how she was going to "work" with me, she said she would not charge me for the re-do and only for the two seats (the main reason I was peeved to begin with) in short although pleasant she could not understand why I was disappointed. I informed her that I would much rather take my business elsewhere and I should at least be refunded for the pant with the un-even hem at which point she returned me $7 ($200 to have three hems and one seat) but a $7 refund for a hem? The math did not make sense and to be honest I was insulted. I gathered my belongings and departed feeling as if I was just hosed, in fact my hand is shaking as I write this review. I will never return to Westborn Cleaners, I neglected to read the reviews of other disappointed yelpers so I have only myself to blame...Robbed, Dazed and Confused. read more

I have been going to Westborn for over ten years, when they were just a tailor. The Tailor was friendly and the price reasonable. Once their cleaners opened and business picked up, the prices skyrocketed and the disposition of the workers is not so friendly. Moral of the story is: don't let more monies and recognition change your business manner, because money spends everywhere and business can only strive by keeping their customers happy.
