The Denists, technicians, Receptionists, everyone I dealt with were highley skilled, extremely pleasant, cordial, articulate, knew their business back and forth, didn't try to sell me on things I didn't need and clearly cared about my welfare and made me feel totally comfortabe and welcome. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people. Before I go on Kudos to Marlyn, Dr. Nia my excellent dentist, Susie & Arial of the front Office, and Anthony, Assistant. Apologies if I inadvertently left anyone out. The great thing about Northridge Advanced Dentistry is they are open on Saturday and took me for an Emergency basically same day, right away. What happened to me was on Friday Night celebrating my birthday I was eating excellent birthday cake and somehow my dental bridge of a few years with 4 implants I think, suddenly got loose but did not come out by itself- almost like a Yo-Yo for lack of a better term. I was afraid of it accidently finally coming out on its own when I was sleeping and swallowing it. I had called my regular dentist who operates independently elsewhere and he told me not to pull the bridge out on my own (he hadn't seen the problem) and he was in NYC for a week and couldn't see me till he got back to LA! I spent all evening trying to find a 24 hour dentist in Los Angeles- there are none I could find despite numerous listings on Google saying 24 Hour dentist, but I was fortunate enough to speak to Marlyn at Advanced Dentistry in Nothridge and she booked me that Saturday morning. Dr. Nia was able to glue the bridge back on perfectly, answered all my questions and reassured me everything would be fine which it was. I intend to have future cosmetic work done at Northridge Advanced Dentistry. A perfect 10 and to me nothing is a perect 10! read more

Don't just look at all the good reviews without looking at the bad reviews. It's horrible to see the consistency in their treatment and insurance gimmicks. It's even more flabbergasting to see the response from Issac with an unprofessional condescending unapologetic tone. You can hear it through his words. Oh boy this makes my negative experience sound light even tho Issac wasn't involved. Well I guess without dragging on my poor experiences with them. I felt the money drive from the beginning and the press for repeated consultations on my root canal. The price quote I received the first time, change to an even more expensive charge after I had a dispute with the front desk. Nice smiles, pretty faces, but are not trained how assist with efficient solutions and thorough clarity of communication . Addressing concerns of makes them defensive and they either say the wrong thing or don't say anything at all. Lack of customer service skills. When I requested to speak to the owner I was directed to Mario. Seemed nice on the first call explaining my dilemma and he compensated a cleaning I was turned away (to get at first when they only told me when I got their my insurance doesn't cover it after I spoke to them the day before to confirm appointment) for the inconvenience. He acted concerned and said he will make sure any other service ( my root canal) will be discount and make sure I'm happy because "Money didn't matter to their practice". Now that's when I should have ran to the reviews to see if they follow what they say, and believed my gut... cause he was overly nice. Red flag That was then when I erased my attempt to yelp thinking it would be what he said. The jokes on me. Following week I then got my cleaning by the Hygienst that I like they set up another root canal counseling, which even he was confused why I was there. The story wasn't gonna change on what I needed and he really didn't do anything but agree with what was said in my file. I then came back to the front and the quote I got was more than the first one. The same girl I have a dispute with had a dismissive attitude, tried to smile thru it but neglected the point of being there. I asked is this discounted she said yes ( which it wasn't as I have my other statement from prior) and then I left out having to go back in to mention the appointment I needed to make for next appointment. I asked why didn't you finalize appointment and she said cause " you didn't seem you wanted it". That was not true as when she asked me did I want to set it up I said yes we just got into the discussion about the price and Mario. Instead of her referencing back to it to confirm she was dismissive like mentioned earlier. When I left I called Mario to share the in counter that he said he would make sure he would talk to front desk about previously as a follow up and he didn't answer. In that call I left a voice note explain in case he was out of town and he didn't return my message. With in the last 3 months I have phoned and left messages 8 different times and he refuses to address where we left off to correct what he said he prides his will to make sure customers are happy cause he would want that to happen to him and his family. My son and I were inconvenienced and had to make different trips back just for her mishap several times as I minimize the encounters because clearly the other clients have bigger problems than I do. I'm just glad I didn't give them my money. They got what they needed from insurance. Guess I was pushed out of there practice like other customers on here I see where but silently. The way Mario has handled me makes sense why the mask on their office seems nice at first unlit it's not and then they are passive aggressive. I waited for the dentist for another 40 minutes. At this point, it was 1:30pm. I left without seeing the dentist because I had to pick up my daughter. Such a waste of time. DON'T COME HERE!!! This place is ridiculous I had an appointment at 4 and wasn't brought back until 5:20 then waited until 5:48 to be talked to. Then they proceeded to walk me back to the waiting room with no service being done. When I called the next day to cancel all future appointments due to this happening my first time coming in as well the receptionist told me they need to charge me $150 for consultation when I have insurance that should cover it. The staff here are honestly horrible if I can give 0 stars I would it feels like all they want is to up charge you even when I have medical they want me to pay $7,000 out of pocket plus the $150 consultation when nothing is being performed. I asked to talk to the manager and still haven't heard back from them. This place is a joke for a dental office! read more

Came for my first visit here and was scheduled for a cleaning. Angel was very friendly and kind to me and took care of me, even offering me water or coffee after I did my xrays/pics. They took my X-rays and they told me they wanted to be transparent with me. They noticed to me I have some inflammation around my gums / bone due to bacteria/plaque buildup that has gone under my gums, so a root scaling and plating procedure was needed, which involves going back every 4-6 months to maintain it. I was still seated in the room, so I tried to explain to the dentist that I may not be sure due to finances and I just wanted to do my basic cleaning. They however continued to then show me a info video on the gingivitis gum disease I have, and showed me an anatomy model of the gums and how it may go worse. I was like alright, sure I understand the importance now. Let me just see first with how the payment goes first. The dentist says "okay, so you're going to do this procedure today okay?" That ticked me off a little because I didn't fully say yes, just to check on payments first but whatever. They brought in the next lady who's role is speak copayments and such with me. There was a plan in place for the procedure with the check ups back in several months. I explained to the lady to check if my FSA card could just pay it in advance, to which she said yeah she could check, and asked for my card. I handed it to her and luckily for me it went through and they happened to have an open slot availability for the hygienist in 10 minutes time, if I wanted to do it today. I decided to go ahead and thankfully this hygienist was kind, did the procedure well and kept me aware of what was happening, letting me know what to do if I felt pain. She was done with the right side of my mouth after an hour and a half. I set my appointment for my next visit, and I came home and followed instructions. read more

This guy is tone deaf. Yes my insurance covers cleanings 100%. I refused the rinse treatment but your dentist refused a cleaning without it. No other dentist I have ever been to required an extra out of pocket treatment for a cleaning. I came for a cleaning and was denied a cleaning because I didn't agree to a rinse treatment. Then condescendingly saying I switched to a cheaper insurance is not a good look nor is it professional. My insurance is pretty awesome actually. The benefits from my work is top tiered. Just doesn't cover your useless rinse treatment, which I already stated I refused. Update to his response. He responded that my previous insurance covered rinse treatments but as stated no other dentist in my life has ever made me get a rinse treatment to get a cleaning or even just a rinse treatment in general ever in my life. Whenever I come in for a cleaning, I get a cleaning. What does it mean if all my previous dentists didn't require or recommend it even if it is covered? I don't know why my previous review was taken down, but I'm reposting it because patients deserve transparency. My experience with Dr. Kashani and his office was extremely disappointing. When I reached out because I was in pain, Dr. Kashani personally told me that he was "not at my disposal" and that if I was in pain I should call 911. Being told to call 911 for dental pain instead of receiving guidance or support from the treating dentist felt dismissive and inappropriate. I understand that doctors have boundaries and are not available 24/7. However, there is a professional way to communicate that. The way it was handled made me feel like I was wrong simply for reaching out while experiencing pain. Additionally, Angie from the office told me they did not think I would be a "good fit" for the practice because I asked too many questions. That is honestly concerning. Patients have every right to ask questions about their treatment, risks, alternatives, and costs. Informed consent requires transparency -- it should not disqualify someone from care. Being told I might not be seen because I ask questions, combined with being told to call 911 when I was in pain, does not reflect patient-centered care. Patients should never feel discouraged from advocating for themselves or seeking clarification about their own health. read more

I came here expecting great service because the office has a huge number of positive reviews, but my experience did not match the rating at all. After not visiting the dentist for a few years, I was told I needed multiple crowns, deep cleanings in all four quadrants, several buildups, and nearly $6,000 of treatment. The presentation of the treatment plan felt extremely sales-driven -- there was heavy emphasis on financing options, negotiating prices, and getting everything started right away. It felt more like a car dealership than a dental visit. Something didn't feel right, so my wife and I got a second opinion from another dentist. To our surprise, the new dentist told her she had zero cavities, zero need for crowns, excellent hygiene, and only needed two small fillings. They also explained her molar issue was related to pregnancy and easily corrected with a simple retainer costing a couple hundred dollars -- not thousands in invasive procedures. I normally don't write reviews, but this experience was concerning enough that I want others to be aware. Always get a second opinion before agreeing to major dental work. read more

I had an appointment today with Dr. Isaac, but he didn't show up -- instead, a different dentist named Kathleen treated me. My dental crown had fallen off, and I asked them simply to cement it back on. They said they would, but also strongly pushed for an implant, which I told them I couldn't do right now because I'm traveling to Europe for my wedding. I made it very clear that I was in a rush and only needed the crown reattached. The person who cemented it seemed to know what they were doing, but when I mentioned the crown felt slightly high -- barely a micrometer -- Kathleen stepped in. Instead of a minor adjustment, she intentionally ground down the crown too much, completely altering the shape of the tooth. This was tooth #14 -- fully visible when I smile. Despite explaining I had an upcoming trip and wedding, she ignored this and damaged the appearance of my crown. I have never encountered a dentist who would drastically alter a patient's tooth without permission, then dismiss it by saying "it's temporary anyway," clearly trying to force me to return for an implant. I absolutely do not recommend this clinic. You book an appointment under one doctor's name, and someone else shows up -- someone who will ruin your dental work and try to profit off your discomfort. They are clearly profit-driven, not patient-centered. If I could give zero stars, I would -- one star is already more than they deserve. read more

I called first thing this morning because I had a dental emergency. I had an abscessed tooth and my cheek would have been comically swollen if I wasn't in the worst pain of my life. They told me they didn't have any availability, but to come in at 11:30 and they'd accommodate me due to it being an emergency. When I arrived, the ladies at the front desk were kind and accommodating. I'm a big enough wimp when it comes to cavity fillings, and they could tell I was absolutely terrified to be in that chair. Angel (I think he was the dental hygienist) asked me if I'd eaten (I hadn't) and grabbed me some Porto's from somewhere. I explained I couldn't eat and he explained why it was best and talked me through it. Both he and Dr Perline were very informative about my situation and walked me through the procedure, asking me if I had questions every step of the way. Since they were working me in around their already booked schedule, it took a while to get going (which they'd warned me about on the phone), but the extraction and the bone graft themselves were done in less than 20 minutes. Again, absolutely terrifying, even though I couldn't feel anything. Dr Perline told me what she was doing at every step and Angel was talking to me, cracking jokes. Both of them were very reassuring. As someone who had been in severe pain and hadn't slept or eaten very much in the past two days, their kindness itself had me almost in tears. Now I'm sitting on the couch, post op, enjoying the relief from the pain and looking forward to getting my sutures removed next week. Came here bc of the good reviews and left with a bad taste in my mouth!! I will say the front desk staff is very kind and friendly. Zero complaints there. HOWEVER I was deeply disappointed with the dentist I saw. I came in for a routine check up before starting chemo treatment to make sure my teeth were in good shape. After my X-rays were taken, the dentist came in to review them with me. She mentioned I should get my wisdom teeth removed. And when I told her I was having zero issues with my wisdom teeth and that I was soon to be scheduled to receive chemotherapy treatment she STILL INSISTED THAT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO REMOVE THEM! In what world, would a doctor recommend creating 4 massive holes in a patients mouth before they start a treatment that is known to lower their immune system and leaves them more likely to get infections!? When I asked her why she was making this recommendation given I was about start going through treatment her explanation was that is was preventative. I'm no doctor so after I asked my oncologist to see if this was a good idea... what do you know- she said absolutely NOT!! I had such a great experience at this dental office. I do not live in Los Angeles. I stay in Northern California and had an issue with my temporary bridge. Angel is a dental assistant that helped me out so much he had to basically make my mold from scratch since my teeth were already taken out he did a great job made me feel comfortable, and the finance officer was a nice lady as well and Isaac -Kahen Kashani, DDS came by and greeted me. Also we spoke very briefly, but she is a nice lady as well. I would recommend anyone going to this dental office. Update on this review: I WOULD STILL SAY STAY AWAY!!! Found out things that I wish I knew before but this experience taught me a lot. First of all, I was literally begging them to file a claim for all they've charged to my insurance even if it doesn't cover anything which never happened until I had insurance to follow up because of fraud and scammers at this office. Then it took me 3 weeks of following up and begging the office people to send me my documents that "I'm entitled to". Second, all the documents are signed by Dr. Kashani but I have never seen him. Apparently he has multiple offices and other doctors do his job. And now the question is if the other doctors are eligible to do everything on their own why are all the documents signed by Kashani's name? Third, the owner Dr. Kashani called me couple of days after me filling the dispute on the transaction and trying to show me their system (and unprofessionally trying to FaceTime me) to convince me to back up. He's rude, unprofessional and a sales man same as all his employees. After they even had Dr. Perline who used I used to visit before in the same office (even for her all documents signed by Kashani) to call me and have me to remove my review or have peace with them. So petty that they use their own employees for such things!! I ended up filing a dispute for bone graft of two "wisdom teeth" on CareCredit and got denied and after some research found out that bone graft without is not really reliable to figure out by xray, even though another dentist told me that the bone graft wasn't done when seeing my mouth and my xray.
