I very much have always loved the experience of Texas de Brazil. I love the cheesy bread, the salad bar and tried a really yummy Brazilian soda this time around. At the salad bar, I got some cheese, prosciutto, rice, potato salad, green beans, asparagus and potatoes au gratin. The only thing I found worth getting again was the potato salad but I didn't even need it because the mashed potatoes they bring out were enough for me, they're pretty good. I didn't like how the vegetables were all cold. The potatoes au gratin were warm but weren't good in my opinion but I was here for the steak so let's get to it: Picanha top sirloin - fire honestly, my favorite. Perfectly cooked. No notes whatsoever. This heavily weighed my rating. Tri tip - Pretty good taste, could've been more rare in my opinion. Flank - Okay, a little tougher than I was expecting. Garlic steak - Tough, not garlicky enough, overdone :/ not good. Barbeque ribs - Alot of cartilage, flavor was fine, not my favorite especially when there's steak involved. Bacon-wrapped filet - it was first brought out well done so I asked if they had it more rare. The server was nice enough to put in a medium rare request for me! He came back in about 5-10 minutes and it was more medium than rare (he asked me if it was alright and I lied because I didn't want to cause more stress so that's on me lol) I will say that it was definitely more rare than that first one and was more tender than the garlic steak but it fully absorbed the bacon flavor and it was a bit too much for me to enjoy. Other notes: I avoided the chicken because I remembered that it tends to be dry and I was right based on my family's reactions. I'm not a huge fan of sausage but my brother did have three of them so they're probably good lmao. The bananas are a good palate cleanser for in between and after. Since my birthday is coming up, I got a piece of the banana's foster pie and it was good! Just could do without the nuts inside personally. I would try something else next time probably. I think overall, Texas de Brazil is a bit hit or miss but I do enjoy the experience of trying and comparing different cuts, and there are some really good ones that make it worth it especially when I've been to expensive steakhouses that definitely don't have anything as good as that amazing picanha steak. read more

Kids 5 and under are $5 and 6-12 is 1/2 price. Today they served lobster bisque and I had two bowls. The table plantains, cheese bread and mashed potatoes were my favorite. Of all the meats that came around, picanha and parm shrimp were my favorite. Glad my kids are veterans and Brazilian bbqs because they knew to try all the meats! Unfortunately they don't really pay attention to the red to stop and green to go for meat. My kids wished the waiter paid attention more because the green was on for a while! What you are paying for is ambience, excellent service all the way around and food that is delicious. You do get what you are paying for here. Plenty of space plenty of tables and large gates now I've been to the one in Canada and they have a way better. salad bar, but a lot more meats and fish and different things. I had a bowl of lobster soup, mobster, bisque, and a good taste a little peppery, which is fine, but no chunks of lobster so that was a little disappointing. You're always wanting a little chunkier in there. I've been a patron of Texas de Brazil for the better part of 10 years. I frequent the Yonkers location, which is situated in Ridge Hill mall. Not far from NYC, this location gives the illusion of being on vacation, even though you are minutes from NYC and right off the highway. THE GROWS: The last few times I went there, there wasn't the variety of meat that there usually is. They kept coming around with the same items. The price has doubled from the original cost. I expect prices to go up, but not as drastically as it did. There are no seafood items, other than chilled spicy shrimp at the market table. This is a carnivore-only venue. THE GLOWS: The preparation of the various meats is always spot-on. Not too salty, not too bland. There are many places that portay themselves as Brazilian steakhouses with market tables, nut none compare to the one at the Texas de Brazil locations. Two notable items are their potato salad and their blue cheese dressing. WOWSER. They have a variety of specialty cocktails and they also have a selection of nonalcoholic drinks (my favorite is their passion fruit lemonade!) Two pieces of advice: It is really easy to fill up on the market table items, then you won't want as much meat--which is what you are paying for. So I think I personally may not like the Brazilian steakhouses...any of them. So my kids bought me here for Sunday dinner. The restaurant itself is very nice. The decor looks high end ...nothing feels like a chain restaurant here. The waitstaff came with their A game. The servers had a very consistent rotation...you never were left waiting for food. Compared to other establishments like this their cold and hot bar had a nice variety. So here is the thing....me review is based on my experience , service, and also how it compares to it's well known competitor. I personally do not care for this style of food BUT compared to other places this food/meat actually tasted seasoned and was very fresh. So I am giving then a true 3.5. This place gets Brazilian Chorizo right. We picked the place to meet up friends for all you can eat dinner on a Monday evening. We reserved a table to avoid any surprises. Upon arrival we found the restaurant was packed. There's a huge bar in front. Lots of sitting area near the salad bar. We started with some the popular Brazilian themed drinks. Those came out very quickly. Within minutes Chorizos started coming over as well. I counted 14 different types of meats that we were offered throughout the night. Most of them were properly cooked, not burned or under cooked. Lamb, and several types of steaks were my favorite. They all had good seasoning. The salad bar also had lots of variety. There were veggies, fruits, cheese, beans, rice and lots of dressings. Finally we ended with some flan and key lime pie cake. I was super full by the end of the dinner. This was our go to place. Unfortunately, our last visit was hugely disappointing. Trying to get a server/meat delivered was next to impossible. They walked right by us again and again. With tip our bill was close to $300 for 2 people - too much for such shoddy service. The food was good but we are going to try the competition next time. I would have given 5 stars had this not been such an awful dining experience. Note: we made reservations for a special birthday dinner AND orderes desserts. This review is based on my third visit to Texas De Brazil in Yonkers. The main feature, which are the grilled meats, are generally very good, although the parmesan crusted pork loin was very dry this time around. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Where I was disappointed this time was with the salad bar, which used to have a mind-numbing variety of items and could have easily been a feast by itself. I also liked that they had various sauces and garnishes at the salad bar for your steak. This time I had to ask for some chimichurri sauce from our server. Clearly, they have cut way back on the salad bar offerings but to be fair, we went quite early on a Sunday evening, so perhaps our timing had something to do with that. This is a moderately expensive restaurant and it is a long drive for us, so I'm not sure we'll return. read more

Went to Texas de Brazil last night for a friend's birthday being a group of 10 of us. 7 adults and 3 children. A few of the adults had been there before and raved about the place so I was excited to try this for my first time. However we did not receive the same experience they had in the past. First, we ask the server if he could split the bill for us and he responds "no", mind you they have done this in the past a simple "I don't want to do that" would have been more understandable. Anyways, the server comes over asks 3 people what they want to drink, they all respond water so he just walked away. Another woman and I had to find him to order 2 sodas and a juice. That seemed odd, but okay I let it go maybe he assumed the other 7 of us just wanted water too. They head over and pour these bottles of water into your cup but fail to tell you each bottle of water is 8$. Again, the price no big deal but a heads up would have been nice. The salad bar was awesome, lots of choices and the food was delicious. The meat that comes by is amazing too, even though some were cold and seemed raw. They bring small plates of fries, mashed potatoes and plantains to the table. But, when the server asks "do you guys need any refills or any meat to come back" and you tell him and nothing comes is a little crazy. For example, you ask for a lemonade refill for a child, the first person never came, you ask again and once again it doesn't come, now the third time you ask your server responds "they're still making it" it has been 15 minutes for juice?! No one wants to deal with a grumpy child who is thirsty because of the food and the water refills never came. I even asked a manager "excuse me we asked for more fries for the kids and nothing came" he immediately brought them out. Made me feel like our server just didn't care or wasn't attentive or maybe just couldn't pay attention to small details. Now the check comes, one check for the whole table. We call the manager over and he explains he would be happy to split our check into 3, awesome thank you. So we review the bill with him, to tell him which party had what. He asks "who drank the 4 Brazilian sodas" at 8$ a piece, to which we reply no one. We had ginger ales. So now we see our server was not serving us but trying to blindly charge us for things we did not order. The ginger ales and juice were on the bill too. Then the manager goes over to the computer right by us, proceeds to talk to our server and a female server and clearly is speaking about us because he kept looking at us and the faces the servers were making truly made us feel uncomfortable. I mean the windows are mirrored so they should be aware we could see their actions. That's not professional nor a way to treat paying customers. As I said we were a group of 10 and paid a lot of money, the money wasn't the issue, we knew the place would be pricey but the experience was not worth it. We all left feeling annoyed and not wanting to go back. It's unfortunate and places need to rely on paying customers to stay open. I wouldn't recommend going here with a big group, but if you choose to go PLEASE review your bill carefully. Also, try to order drink refills as soon as you get your first one so you're not sitting there with empty cups and thirst from all the salt consumption. read more

This was my first time at Texas de Brazil but I had been to Fogo de Chao so I had a bit of an idea what to expect. But my partner was a first timer. The buffet line at this Texas de Brazil was a little lack luster. We barely scooped anything up. The option for cold items was much larger than the hot items. At the table tho they did bring out some mash potatoes, French fries, their specialty bread, and sweet plantain (Maduros) so that was definitely up our ally. As for the meat choices, it is your usual options. Filet mignon, sausage, churassco, lamb chops, sirloin, bacon wrapped chicken, etc. I'm not sure if we came in on an off day but most of the steak options were a bit chewy.The star of this meal was the churassco. It was nicely charred on the outside and so flavorful and not chewy! As for the drinks I ordered the Mango Caipirinha. It was just ok for me. It was very very tart and left my throat feeling a bit dry so water was my best friend. All in all this restaurant is mostly for the experience I would say, and for the hardcore meat lovers. read more

Truly, everything was better than expected. The buffet was clean, the salad crisp, all the items in the buffet bar were filled and easy to reach and most importantly really pretty good. The only thing is everything is terribly salty so take note if that's a problem for you. The mashed potatoes are the most salty as is most of the steak offerings. The chicken is wrapped in bacon so maybe that can be removed. Otherwise it wasn't too loud and it was packed on a Sunday night. Dillon our waiter was very thoughtful, albeit sometimes MIA. I loved this place. The decor was so nice and the service was impeccable. I love the fact that they had cards on the table to let them know when you wanted more meat. Or you had the option to turn off the meat presentations. The meat never stopped coming. They came out in a beeline and filled up the plate. There were over six options of meats. I had to try them all being that it was my first time I loved the chicken Parmesan. I love the spicy sirloin, beef ribs, the flank steak, the garlic steak and the bacon wrapped chicken. The salad bar had a lot of nice options and even had a charcuterie board. They even had soups for you to try like lobster bisque. I love how clean everything was at the salad bar. For the table they give you french fries mashed potatoes and plantains with cheese bread. My favorite table item was the plantains. They had this nutty flavor that was added to them and it was so enjoyable. They have many dessert options like carrot cake, coconut pie, and a few others. Overall, I'm excited to go back again. So far I've here twice. The first time my sister I bought out mom for her birthday back in February. I was was our first time and I most say damnnnn lol. Walked in 45mins early (came straight from a painting class) because we thought our reservation was in 30mins and they were able to sit us in like 15mins. The hostess was sweet and friendly. As they sit you they ask if your celebrating (they don't sing. Loved that lol). Out waiter gave great recommendations and all was delicious. He recommended yhe Caipirinha (I believe) got it passionfruit flavored, dang this was delicious and refreshing. I love they come and slice the meats in front of you. It feels so personal even though the restaurant is packed. The second time was this month. I bought my best friend and his brother and when I tell you I made this their new favorite spot (I did) lol. On both occasions we tried everything that came pass our table (except my sister who doesn't eat red meat) she enjoy both of the chickens (they were able to do the bacon wrapped chicken without the bacon so she could have it). I took the pineapple slices from the salad bar and eat it with my meats and it kicked the flavor from 100 to 200 no lie (so long as you like the sweet and salty taste). I only didn't try maybe 5 meats but I'll be back to try even more. This place is such an experience and I loved every minute of it. read more

Usually when we go to fancy places like this they give a dessert to the birthday person. My daughter got an empty place with a candle on it that said in syrup "happy birthday ". I still can't go wrong with this TSB location. We tried the one in the Palisades Mall and I was thoroughly disappointed by the service. The one in Ridge Hill has never disappointed. We recently came for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week which is a big deal because you get to enjoy their entire menu and rodizio dinner at a discounted restaurant week price so you're definitely getting a great deal. I can honestly say that I'd be happy just sampling their salad bar because they have so many options from which to be choose and incidentally, they do offer a "salad bar only" dinner option. We arrived for dinner about two hours early because I made a mistake with our reservation but I appreciate that the ladies in the front accommodated us despite their being fully booked. We obviously had to wait for them to seat people who had arrived on time but after only 20 minutes or so, they seated us and even gave us a table where we had plenty of space for our stroller since my daughter was still sleeping. Franchesca was our server and she was so very attentive. I asked for lamb chops and she brought out a plate full of them, for the table. I was taken aback. When my daughter woke up, we asked for a highchair and they brought one to us quickly and even had a place for me to store the stroller as it was no longer needed. One or two of the gouchos had attitudes that I chalk up to it being a busy and likely frustrating night (no excuse) but for the most part, the guys we made meat resuests to, were very gracious and pleasant to us. We don't come to TDB as often as we have in the past but I think I would want to come back for the salad bar dinner as I'm cutti g down on meat and I just really love their salad bar. read more
