Buyer beware! I am…read moreextremely upset with WP Honda for their complete lack of transparency and flexibility. If you live in the NYC area, strongly reconsider buying a Honda. I purchased a 2026 Honda CR-V Sport Touring on September 1, and by September 16 it was stolen. Although it was recovered through the Honda app, many of the hybrid components were damaged or stripped. I came across a Honda Product Improvement Bulletin stating that "thieves are forcing entry into these vehicles using a commercially available tool to reprogram the vehicle's ignition system and then start and operate the vehicle, all without the original key fob." In other words, these vehicles can be accessed and started without the key, using a phone app. This is critical information that buyers deserve to know. The note discusses it as a 2023- 25, but clearly is still a problem given how easily my car was stolen. WP Honda claimed they were unaware that this model is highly targeted for theft -- something even a basic Google search makes clear. The tow truck company and rental agency both confirmed that Hondas are among the most frequently stolen vehicles. This ordeal cost me nearly $10,000 between my trade-in and down payment. WP Honda refused to work with me or consider taking the car back. I ultimately traded in the CR-V, and my only regret is buying it in the first place. The stress, financial loss, and lack of accountability made this a terrible experience.

Wait there's more, twenty four hours later the dealer doesn't know where my vehicle is at (didn't care) and the service department hung up on me since they didn't have any answers. Long story short is that I had to do the foot work even thou I've made the proper notifications on my end, and the staff were annoyed with me? How dare I purchase a new vehicle and make them locate and fix my vehicle without them receiving a commission from it. Purpose of Yelp is to help you decide, hence the star rating. If you purchase a vehicle from them and are ignoring the reviews as I did than shame on you! Service Department= rude and unprofessional Management Staff= just plain lazy. They feel entitled.

I wonder what the phrase "certified used car " really means to them. I guess that they certify that it was a used car. I asked if they had the specific bmw for $20k. He said yes. I explained I was an inexperienced driver that needed a car suddenly and my mother would be co-signing the car for me even though she was not with me. He writes the dollar amount $26 k on the paperwork and asked me to sign. I asked him why the price was different and he said closing costs. He told me I would be paying $674 for 42 months (a little over 3 years). I agreed. They told me the cost of the payment would go up significantly if I used my name and I should just use my mother's name only. I said ok. Later he tells me their printer is down and he offered to drive with me to my mother's house (122 miles away) for her to physically sign the paperwork so he can release the keys to me. While at her home, she asked how much the car was and I said 20k and Ray said 26. I then said right, because of closing costs. She signs. We leave my mother's home and he drives the car to my address (another 84 miles) and park. He said he had to wait until his boss got him an uber to his home. I invited him upstairs and sat with him in the living room. He was there for about 20 minutes because he could not get in touch with his manager. At this time its after midnight. While in the car I asked about a low battery notification and he said it was fine. There were so many things wrong with this process that I and my mother were unaware of because we both had no experience buying cars from a dealership. Ray and the dealership agreed to hold my plates upon arrival so I wouldn't have to pick it up at my mother's home and it would take 30-45 days to process. I was also told the dealership would reach out to me. 29 days after purchasing the car Ray tells me he no longer works with the dealership. I had been contacting him about getting gap insurance for the car for almost 2 weeks prior. The following day my mother received a notification from Experian for a $45K loan Apparently Ray had my mother sign a blank agreement and added an extra $20k on the car. We tried to return the car and were told there is no window of return even though that was exactly 30 days from the purchase date. 16 days later (1 day outside of the 45 day expected processing time for the license plates) I was pulled over by the State Police on my way to work because my temporary license plate was in the window (incorrect placement). The Police told me the license plate I had (the one given to me at the dealership) was only meant for dealerships/commercial use and not personal. Ray had given me a paper to keep in the glove compartment in the event I was asked for registration. The Police told me it was an in-transit paper for transporting cars from one place to another. For these reasons they impounded the car and also gave me tickets. 2 days later I was told they would not assist because my mother told them she plans to sue. 6 months later I got my car checked and was told that battery notification I saw on the car when I first got it was serious and I should check if I'm covered with the dealership. They said I would not be covered. I've only had the car for 6 months and they resolved nothing. This was a horrible experience and none of the many individuals I spoke with (some of them Erik, Aron, Yvonne) offered no help. I was even told they would send a check for a few payments as a sorry and they never got back to me. They get your money and tell you anything to leave and you have to almost harass them for them to tell you they actually cannot assist. I've worked in customer service/sales for over a decade. I have never seen a case where an employee that gets fired is found to have screwed over customers to this extreme and they do nothing at all. Learn from my experience and do not patron this business. Let me add my mother has perfect credit which is why I thought it best to have her help me.

Summary / TLDR: I was anxious buying a used car not CPO but the experience was smooth. Would…read morerecommend Daniel Auto to friends & family. Started my car search two weeks ago with two constraints that made it very stressful. I was looking for an Acura MDX hybrid (very low inventory out there) and a tight timeline to get it done before the end of the year. Made a spreadsheet of every MDX hybrid I could find online and there were less than half a dozen within reasonable driving distance (200 miles) of NYC. Based on this info I started engaging with Daniel Auto since they were number one on the list based on price/value and color but they were up against an Acura dealership in RI that offered certified pre-owned and two other strong value options. I had never purchased a used car not certified pre-owned by the car manufacturer so had a little anxiety not going with Acura CPO. Communication online / via text was easy and I made an appointment for a test drive. A little surprised at the small office and packed lot when I showed up... I've always only been to higher end brand dealerships who spend a lot on the visual experience. The office (and bathroom) was clean and organized, and when I thought about it, I much prefer that they save money on unnecessary frills, especially if they're offering solid/good pricing. The test drive was fine; John was very pleasant and left me alone to inspect the car afterwards. The price was the price, no hidden fees and no nonsense that I've experienced from some dealerships to push you towards financing to show you a lower monthly while raising the price or adding fees. I settled with Daniel on a price; don't expect there to be much movement if any. Having done online research before, the pricing was solid/fair. They had financing available, but I decided to pay cash. A little bit anxious as I'd never done a cash purchase before but everything went smoothly: Put a small deposit down using a debit card, signed a bill of sale, went home and wired the rest of the money, came back in a few days with my wife to pick up the car. Yesterday, I took it to my long time Acura dealership I've used for many years on my previous non-hybrid MDX. Needed to correct a fuel pump safety recall and had them inspect everything, with special focus on suspension and transmission. Everything came back clean, including alignment and little things like cabin air filters. Feeling pretty good about both the hybrid MDX and purchasing it from Daniel Auto. Oh, and I got confused about wheel locks (this car didn't have any) earlier in the week and they (both Ron & Daniel) were just as fast responding on text and calling post sale as pre sale. I would shop with them again and recommend to friends & family.

Unfortunately, I'm not happy with my experience or purchase from this dealership…read more We were told the vehicle was up to date on maintenance, but after the purchase, we discovered issues and codes that raised serious concerns. When I brought these issues to Ron's attention, instead of addressing my concerns professionally, he became defensive and crabby. We were also pressured into finalizing a sale on a vehicle we originally did not want. I especially didn't appreciate Ron making jokes about me not knowing much about cars. Comments like that make me question whether customers who aren't knowledgeable about vehicles are being treated differently or taken advantage of. Communication and follow-through were also poor throughout the process. I was pressured to leave a review, only for that review to later be taken down, which made the situation even more frustrating. Overall, I left feeling pressured, unheard, and disappointed with both the purchase and the customer service. I expected better communication, transparency, and professionalism.

This wasn't the agreement that we signed when we purchased the car and if they can change the policy and not offer any remediations or support for an alternative, then they don't keep their word in valuing customers and whatever you sign on the contract can be voided whenever they feel like it. We didn't move to another state and didn't even change our address. They also confirmed my appointment and let me schedule it weeks ago without letting us know that this is an issue until a few days before our scheduled appointment, which gives us minimal time to find an alternative, which they didn't even try to help find. I would caution new buyers if this is the case which pains me to say because I really loved Genesis of White Plains and felt that the service by Lorenzo and Roberto was exemplary of what high quality care look like as I emphasized in my original review. I hope this issue can be resolved amicably and they Genesis of White Plains can restore their reputation of being one of the best Genesis dealership in all of New York. Original review 2023 -The entire process from initial consultation to signing the finalized documentations went smoothly and seamlessly. Working alongside Lorenzo and Clinton was pleasant, for both of them were friendly, warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared to try to give us the best deal possible. The dealership provided a welcoming vibe filled with elegance, class, and comfort, which allowed customers to feel valued and made the shopping/browsing experience smooth yet classy. Lorenzo's investment in our purchase is genuine and shows all the effort he put into making sure we got all the answers to our questions and that we were comfortable/happy with our purchase. Lorenzo was exceptional in his service throughout the entire process; from the very beginning, he satisfied our requests for a proposal and even set up an appointment for us to come in the following day to discuss further. Lorenzo was friendly, warm, kind, and showed us genuine interest in ensuring that we liked our purchase and that he answered all of our questions and more. Lorenzo was not pushy in his negotiating tactics and was respectful throughout the entire process. Matter of fact, we enjoyed working with him so much that we purchased another car due to both personal interest and his transparency in making a deal. There are so many sales rep that become desensitized on the rapport establishing process that they can sometimes come off as aggressive or rude, but Lorenzo never came off that way and showed nothing but genuine enthusiasm and interest in making sure we were content with what we purchased. He even provided us with reassurance regarding the various servicing that they provide for our purchase should there be any issues that arise, which was very comforting and eased all of our anxieties as a buyer. Genesis of White Plains also charges a lot less in fees compared to dealerships in New Jersey, which saved my wife and I more than 500 in fees. Some Genesis dealership lacked elegance in their aesthetics, but Genesis of White Plains definitely provides a lot of elegance and class in its presentation and shopping experience. Highly recommend coming here for a great deal and amazing customer service! Look for Lorenzo and Clint for a seamless transaction! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (: P.S. We purchased the GV70 Advanced and Sports trim and we love it!

He said he couldn't locate it and just ask Genesis Finance for their copy. I did and was shocked. Of course , those two charges were not on the original. I would never have known about this if I hadn't asked GF fora copy. I confronted the dealership and they sent a check for $1,000 with no apology. Don't know what else was falsified on the lease. Don't understand the "rent charge" of $5,827.87. Will now have to deal with the hassle of the purchase option fee if I buy the car. The car is terrific. The original contract says zero. Salesman was fine but dealership was not.
