Buyer beware! I am extremely upset with WP Honda for their complete lack of transparency and flexibility. If you live in the NYC area, strongly reconsider buying a Honda. I purchased a 2026 Honda CR-V Sport Touring on September 1, and by September 16 it was stolen. Although it was recovered through the Honda app, many of the hybrid components were damaged or stripped. I came across a Honda Product Improvement Bulletin stating that "thieves are forcing entry into these vehicles using a commercially available tool to reprogram the vehicle's ignition system and then start and operate the vehicle, all without the original key fob." In other words, these vehicles can be accessed and started without the key, using a phone app. This is critical information that buyers deserve to know. The note discusses it as a 2023- 25, but clearly is still a problem given how easily my car was stolen. WP Honda claimed they were unaware that this model is highly targeted for theft -- something even a basic Google search makes clear. The tow truck company and rental agency both confirmed that Hondas are among the most frequently stolen vehicles. This ordeal cost me nearly $10,000 between my trade-in and down payment. WP Honda refused to work with me or consider taking the car back. I ultimately traded in the CR-V, and my only regret is buying it in the first place. Since the service has been completed, I have been persistently called and texted to sell or upgrade my Honda. Despite opting out of these spam calls in various ways (unsubscribing via text, talking to the representative on the phone call and saying that I am explicitly not interested in selling my Honda), I somehow continue to get spam texts and calls from different numbers on behalf of White Plains Honda one month after service has been completed. I'll be in the middle of a work meeting, rounding on patients on the floor, and I'll get another call or text from the dealership. It's absolutely absurd, almost comical. It's in perfect condition and every feature and option works flawlessly. They called me (not the other way 'round) and offered me a "cash purchase" price. I responded to set up an appointment and appraise the car after already providing multiple photos and descriptions. NOTE: when speaking to the woman to schedule the appointment, I made 100% SURE that I knew who I would be meeting and that they knew they would be appraising the car to potentially buy it. She agreed on every count. I arrived that morning to find (a) the person I was meant to meet had the day off (b) there was no record of the appointment and (c) after an hour, they offered me nearly 10% less than on the phone talking about a "rim repair". NOTE: I had though previously about having the lightly scuffed rim buffed but decided it wasn't worth the $250 I was quoted by a reputable shop (Honda W.P. seemed to think that a single cosmetic rim repair would cost more than purchasing four brand-new rims). I'm extremely disappointed by this location and our experience we had this Labor Day weekend. We are big into transparency and communication which we did not recieve at this business. Avoid White Plains Honda Service Department at all costs. They will pry thousands of dollars from your wallet. And that is after you fight off their aggressive upselling. In our case we were pressured by Angel to replace the water pump and serpentine belt. The pressure came immediately, within minutes of bringing the car in. Angel continued the pressure during follow-up phone calls. Our car had six various check engine lights come on. We first took it to a private mechanic who managed to reset the engine service light but only temporarily. All lights were back on within hours. He fleeced us for $970. The car then broke down and would only move at 8 mph. That is when we desperately drove it into Honda of White Plains. They kept it for four days (over the weekend) and failed to even phone us when it was ready! Angel, our aggressive salesman, had dropped the ball. After four phone calls another employee tracked down our car and said it was ready. Spark plugs and fuel injectors were changed. The bill was $2,517. The check engine lights were reset and stayed off. The check light problem cost us $3,487! We learned our lesson and have since shopped around for an honest and skilled mechanic. These guys are the worst. I took my car in for regular maintenance and they offered to give me a new lease and take back the current leased car. I decided to give it a try. What a mistake. I sat around the dealership for four hours while they tried to fix some internet access issues and stuff regarding their internal system. Complete confusion. I was foolish enough to go ahead with leasing the new car. Should have walked out. When the lease was being prepared the guy who was doing it casually mentioned he would add $30 per month to cover any future maintenance costs. Didn't really make it a discussion, but at that point I was exhausted. After four hours of frustration and run-around ( at one point I was told the car was being washed and would be ready soon. Ninety minutes later I was told it was being washed and would be ready soon.) Finally I got my car and the salesman gave me a big hug like we had been through some ordeal together. I'm the customer and he's the salesman, we're not buddies. I did follow up with them because I was charged $200 for the annual maintenance that was done on the old car even though they kept it. I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with White Plains Honda. Salesman told me they have cars available right now in any trim and any color. He initially lured me in with an attractive low lease price ($299/m for 36 months, $0 down) for Honda HR-V, but the reality was far from what was promised. First, he miscalculated the sales tax, which ended up being much higher than initially quoted. For leased cars tax is calculated from your total payments, which should be $299*36*9% = $969. Instead he did it from retail price and ended up with $2580 When I brought this to their attention, they brushed it off as a simple mistake, but it felt very deliberate. Then, he added a lot of unexpected charges that were not applicable to leased cars. On top of it he added a destination fee and total jumped from $5052 to $6402. And at the end the cash down magically morphed into $6972. And to add insult to injury, he told me the car is not actually available today, but we need to start paperwork right now. Their lack of transparency and honesty in dealing with customers is unacceptable. I felt tricked and taken advantage of, and I would not recommend White Plains Honda to anyone. At the reception, a Caucasian lady was looking at me and my family up and down and asked me what I was here for... The sales agent Theo took us and we started talking about the trade in. We both agreed on the price based on a fair market value from KBB after they appraised it. Then, Theo grabbed another guy named Fred to come talk to us. Fred slammed a piece of paper down on the table, pointing to it with his middle finger with an interrogating tone asking, "Are you going to buy it with this deal ?!" I kindly asked him if he was the manager, and he said no while continuing to use that tone to ask us again. Even though the deal was half way done, I decided to get up and walk out, and told Fred that he was disrespectful. I have never been interrogated with this good cop bad cop shit. All in all, customers come informed and prepared, no one should deserve such bad experience. Stay away from this dealership (under the umbrella of Benstocks like Paragon's Honda as they told us). Then they told me that since it was not an original Honda windshield they could not service it under warranty. For this they charged $134.00 for doing nothing! A quick 5 minute check would have told them it was not original glass. So why so much for a quick visual check and why keep the car for 24 hours? Meanwhile they found a half hour to check for other items they want me to get serviced. My follow-up letter to them was ignored. Meanwhile they still send me postcards with repair discounts. While I was there, a sales associate asked if I would be interested in selling my car, either outright or for a trade in for a new car. I said sure. So he had my car inspected, made me an offer, we went back and forth and couldn't make the numbers work. Again, no big deal. Then the calls and text started. I was contact by five (yes, five) different people at White Plains Honda asking me if I wanted to sell my car. I said sure, and they told me I needed to bring my car in for an inspection. No communication in the office apparently. The worst was an associate named Kim - she would text me (unsolicited) once a month asking if I wanted to sell my car. I said sure, and gave her a number. No response. Not a single solitary word. And then the next month, another text. I wrote the general manager of White Plains Honda expressing my annoyance and plan to take my business elsewhere. What was their response? You can probably guess. No apology. No intent to remedy this situation. They wanted to know when I could bring my car in for an inspection so that they could buy it.
