When you get hit in the front and back, like I was, it feels so gross and daunting to go through the repair process, hoping things are as good as they were before. They made them even BETTER. I prefer them over the Land Rover dealership, hands down. They specialize in Benz repairs, but don't let that deter you, no matter what you own. They answer the phone immediately, they explain everything. They met my requests, and addressed things I didn't even expect. They documented everything phenomenally. So organized. These guys do not cut corners. Everything is done top notch. Now you can't operate at the quality and guarantee these guys do and be the cheapest so unfortunately I can't afford them everytime I need work on my car but when insurance is paying it's a no brainer. I have a bunch of stories of them going beyond. The job was taking longer than my insurance covered a rental so they covered the extra days. Go through them for your rental. Had what I thought was an issue from previous work they did. They took the car, did all the tests (alignment and some other stuff) and turns out it wasn't their work. Zero charge or even annoyance. They were happy to help. Lots of these types of stories. My time in LA I've probably used five different shops and this is the only one I actually TRUST. read more

My son's first accident. Made a claim with my insurance company and I asked for shop referrals, Western Auto Crafters was one of the referrals so decided to have my vehicle repaired there. Made an appointment with the shop and they scheduled me in for the next day. Went to drop off vehicle and was met by who I believe is the owner, Marko. Marko was extremely detailed and informative about the entire process. Very professional and empathetic to our accident experience, which we appreciated kindly. He went over the vehicle with us and reviewed our insurance company estimate, ensuring us that he would work with our insurance company to repair our vehicle back to pre-loss condition. He gave us a completion date and sent in updates anytime there was a change in the repair status or estimate total change. There was only one small change which was approved by my insurance company. The shop called me to let me know my repairs were complete and was on the original promised date which was another pleasant surprise. We went to pick up our vehicle and the repairs were perfect. I never felt rushed to look over car and inspect for imperfections which there were none. Repairs were guaranteed and Marko assured us that if there are any issues, just to bring it back. I waited a couple of weeks to post this to give me time to drive vehicle and look for any other concerns, but there are none. Vehicle drives great and looks better than new. I've heard many horror stories over the years about bad repair shop experiences, I don't have one. This is probably the best and seamless experience I've ever had with auto repairs. I was rear ended a couple of months ago - car was still drive-able so they were able to have me wait for my car part to come in which I was super happy about. I received a phone call from them and I asked them for an estimated time for repair as I was not planning on getting a rental. They stated to me 3-4 days and I was ecstatic that my car was repaired beautifully in three days. The receptionists are super helpful and detailed. My car had a few scratches and a dented bumper from minor incidents over the years. When the bumper came off due to another incident, my wheel well cover also came off, and I decided to take it in to get all of the little scratches and one dent taken out, as well as replace that wheel well cover. At first, I was really pleased with how Marvin seemed like he was going to go above and beyond to help us out. After getting several other quotes, we decided to go with Western Auto because Marvin seemed so helpful and like he was going to go above and beyond for us. He told us to make two claims to get everything done, which I did. Then he quoted us two weeks to get it fixed and he'd wait until the parts were ordered before having us bring in the car. All good and thoughtful. Well we bring the car in and have to rent our own car, since insurance doesn't cover that. Two weeks go by and we don't hear from him, so we extend our rental until the following Wed. Come Monday, we still don't hear from them so we all them and they tell us, oh we're waiting on more parts and sending that paperwork to your insurance for approval, so another TWO WEEKS. Okaaay, not cool, but I do understand that insurance can take awhile. So we extend the rental. Another two weeks go by, we don't hear from them, so we call. They say it's a Holiday week, so another week. Then the Holiday week is over and STILL we don't hear back. I get the run around from the front desk, telling me Marvin is busy and he'll call me back, but he doesn't. Finally, my husband gets him on the phone and he quotes us ANOTHER WEEK. So now, we've had the car in the shop for over a month after being quoted two weeks!!! We spent almost $1,000 in car rentals because we weren't planning on having to rent for that long. So when we finally go get my car, THE WHEEL WELL COVER IS STILL NOT FIXED. This was literally the main reason I even took my car in!!!! He gives me some bull story about how the insurance wouldn't cover this, but oh, he fixed my grill for me for free. Uh, I never approved you fixing that, so you bet your ass it better be free. But then he wants to charge us for the wheel well cover, which he still doesn't even have. Sure, the bumper and side door look great, so that's a plus, but two days later we hear this weird noise and it turns out an insulation piece is falling down. Sure enough, once we park it, the insulation piece falls right out. WTF. Not only that, but turns out because he made me make two claims, the deductible for my insurance is PER CLAIM. That sure as hell would've been nice to know from the beginning, which he did know, becauase he was like, oh all insurance do that. Well if you had told me that, I would've made only one claim. What a joke this place is. Overall, if you want your car to be in the shop for over a month and still not get what you wanted fixed, take it here. Garbage place that fully scammed me. Pretty sure they scammed my insurance too, because they charged them almost $8,000 for a simple side panel scratch and small dent in the bumper. INSANE. Will never, ever, ever recommend this place to anyone. read more

9/10 for the work done. They had some issues with the paint and the clear coat not sticking. Which makes me wonder if corners were being cut because had they sanded the panel from the beginning then that wouldn't have been an issue. The final outcome was good. I'd say I'm satisfied with it. Hopefully it won't peel in the future but they do offer a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car. A little dust on my dash, no big deal but the entire interior is black so it stood out a little. Other then a broken phone holder that was on my air vent everything was good. Remove any phone mounts before dropping off the car just to be on the safe side. 8/10 for the customer service. They say that no job is to big or to small. The reason I came here was because my family has used them numerous times and they always take care of the insurance and paperwork hassle for them. But then again they were big jobs. The work I needed wasn't huge. It was less then 3k. So when I pulled up the young lady suggested I return home and call and deal with the insurance myself. I was hoping I would get the same help my family did but it didn't work out that way. So I returned home and did everything myself. Once I got the approval from my insurance I went back to drop off my car after I did all the paperwork myself. I was given different completion dates. I understand things come up, but don't tell me it will be ready on a specific day when you aren't sure yourself. I'm ok with waiting, I just hate having to ask my job for permission to come in late or take a day off and then change it over and over. It's ok to say it's not ready yet and be honest. Overall: I plan on coming back for some minor work I want to do out of pocket in a couple of months or so. My family has a great respect for Marko. I am not sure if he is the owner or manager or both but he makes you feel important. I feel that if there are any issues he will go the extra mile to correct things. If I could I would do 4.5 stars but thanks to him I will round up not down and give this place the full 5. While there were times I felt like my issue wasn't big enough for them, at the end it all came together. My car is my bread and butter and I want nothing but the best. So if I have to deal with a few bumps on the road to get there, then so be it. There are 1000's of shops in LA. But I'll be back to this one. read more

My car was worse off after they "fixed" it than when I brought it in. I was rear ended in a minor accident and brought my suv here. Not only did they take a very long time to fix it but when I got it back it made weird noises that it never had before. The car was less than 1 year old and they absolutely destroyed it with their shoddy work. They also clipped the windshield wiper fluid line. When I tried to take it back and showed them all the things wrong with the car they told me "if we can't charge the insurance for it then you will have to pay to fix it" Never go here. I have had my car repaired three times at Western Auto Crafters. The quality of work is the best. They are a USAA approved body shop. In January someone sideswiped my car in a parking lot and took off. There was a lot of damage. I dropped my car off on January 10 expecting a 2 or 3 week turn around. Unfortunately it took much longer. Post pandemic, supply chain problems have resulted in substantial delays in delivery of parts. As time went on they kept me informed of the problems and were very apologetic. They finished the work after two months and my car looks fantastic. Even though the delay was not their fault, they waived the deductible because of the delay. This is the best body shop --honest people doing great work. read more
