Nightmare Experience -- Stay Away! Unless you like being gaslit! I brought my car in to repair a damaged sideview mirror and fix several dents. When I came to pick it up, I immediately noticed that one of the dents hadn't been touched and the sideview mirror was visibly misaligned. When I pointed this out, they claimed I hadn't flagged the dent during the initial inspection. I asked to see the paperwork -- and sure enough, the dent was clearly marked on the diagram. That wasn't even the worst part as i understand mistakes/oversight do happen. What truly infuriated me was their insistence that the sideview mirror was "perfectly aligned" and that I was being overdramatic. I explained that the mirror should fold in fully, just like the one on the driver's side. They told me that's how the car was manufactured and even LIED saying they called in to lincoln dealership to confirm it is supposed to look this way!! Please see photo I took my car to another shop. They disassembled the mirror and found the motor inside was broken -- meaning the original shop never fixed it at all! As you can see in the photo, the welcome light on the passenger side of my car is clearly misaligned in comparison the the drivers side. The light source is attached to the sideview mirror. This clearly shows that there is something wrong with my sideview mirror! Ughz! The time and money that I have wasted just makes me fume. This place gaslit me, lied to my face, and failed to deliver basic repairs. Avoid at all costs. read more

They consistently have great customer service, quality work and good value pricing with or without insurance for our Lexus + Mazda vehicles. If you ever run into car trouble, come here to get it fixed. I doubt you'll regret it. I live near the USC main campus and the surrounding neighborhood is definitely questionable. I usually park on the street. One day, some idiot decided to kick in the back passenger side of my car and thus I had to get it fixed. Thank goodness I have insurance. Here's the rough timeline of events: I brought my car in on 11/16 for a consultation type of thing. The next day, I dropped the car off for good. It was a very seamless experience and all the workers I interacted with were fantastic. After I dropped the car off, they coordinated a ride for me to Hertz so that I could pick up my rental car. My car was ready about 3 weeks later. I am not sure if the Thanksgiving holiday made this process longer. The car was ready to be picked up exactly at the time they said it would be. Tl; dr - If you're using insurance, I recommend you go elsewhere. Save yourself time and probably shadiness. -------- I picked this place a couple years ago due to the good reviews. I was in a car accident and needed my car up and running asap. I called and said I didn't have insurance. Was quoted a quick turnaround and an affordable price... Well when I came in with insurance, all of that changed. Doubled. Instead of a week or 2. My car was held hostage for at least a month and the price jumped extremely. The owner was nice and their service seemed good so it was alright. She was personable and sat down to explain things to me. Though the car detailing service they use isn't good for the amount billed my insurance because I spotted a lot of areas missed in the cleaning process. Fast forward a year when my battery suddenly died. Leaving me confused because my battery was not messed up to my knowledge during the accident. I drove the car to the shop and back twice before dropping it off. So I go to AutoZone because I paid a lot for a new battery and warranty, just to find out they put in a dud battery in my car. Now I'm side eyeing what else I have under warranty that they switched out because it was in good condition and they can use elsewhere. First of, the lady that dresses up like she's a KNOW-IT-ALL, she is very rude and disrespectful and got an ugly attitude. Then, These people lied to the insurance that was gonna fix my car. I took my car to get it inspected after getting rear ended and they told the insurance that the damaged done to my car was "prior". I called the insurance not knowing this and they were gonna send me a small amount of money to fix it. Then I went back here, they told me the insurance only sent the money to fix the bumper but not the body of the car. They told me to contact the insurance but then said that THIS place said, the damage was done prior, which is nonsense. So they lied saying they don't know why the insurance sent so little. It's because they told a lie. Don't take your car to get inspected and fixed here. They should be disappointed in themselves for lying, but that's the world we live in. A lie. 0/10 read more

I am completely satisfied with Western Collision Works, twice! I have had the unfortunate experience last year of being hit directly by a reckless car on Western Ave., while my car was parked. I was not there to see the accident, but was there to see that the person who hit my car left my bumper loose. My insurance recommended Western Collision Works. It is always so difficult deciding where you should trust to get your car fixed, but I made the decision and decided to go with them. Elizabeth was thorough in explaining to me what the process would be like. I had a great time working with these guys. I've always been very picky about my car, and like most people in LA - spent an extraordinary amount of time cleaning, polishing, and babying my car. Recently, I had a small fender bender with my BMW Z3, and as fate would have it, the design of the car, the closeness of the hood to everything underneath, etc. - it wasn't going to be a little "let's buff it out" situation. It gave me anxiety to have to leave my car in the shop, and of course I also had plans to take the car on a trip over the coming 4th of July weekend. They were able to get my parts quickly, and also give me a little confidence in their work by showing me specific ways they were going to fix the car, and also pointing out details in my existing body work I had been unaware of. Bobby, Armand, and Chris? I'm pretty sure it was Chris - all were very helpful, honest, and understanding - they worked really hard to get the car done in time, and though the car was never going to be winning any shows - (the car is already nearly a dozen years old) it looked amazing when I got it back. The paint was very well done, and they had made sure to replace everything with new OEM parts, serialized properly, and aligned very well. In this case, I can say that my car actually looked significantly better than it did BEFORE the accident. My hat's off to them for getting the car done ahead of schedule, and even better than I'd anticipated. I wish I could give 6 stars! my window was smashed to pieces by a homeless person and that is another story all together. I asked neighbor if they know any window repairs shops. Western Collision was the vcard sent to me. I called, spoke to Vera- she was most helpful and guided me over the phone of what to do to get rid of the loose glass . She also confirmed pricing and order from the dealer for the replacement. Armen was extremely helpful in the background too, as was Elizabeth today updating me as she said she would. I don't know these people but i use their first names because they treated me like a person and a customer- sadly hard to find these days. I was so grateful to find such a trustworthy location to take my car to. I had two incidents occur to my Mazda vehicle this year and both times the staff was very thoughtful and honest when providing service to my car. In fact, the second time I went, I had dents in my car's left side bumper due to a car incident that occurred while I was getting food for myself. I was so devastated of the whole situation. However, Elizabeth took me in that exact day and made space for me to help me resolve the issue. They were able to fix the dents that exact day and didn't charge me for the service which I was really thankful for. I came across their Yelp Listing while I was looking up their website so I could recommend them to a friend of mine. Sadly, I have been hit by other motorists a number of times over the years (once was while I was in a store shopping!) I've had Western Collision Works repair my car 3 times and each time they did an excellent job at a fair price. In a fourth instance, they were able to 'pop out' a panel that had become dented right in front of me and didn't ask for any payment for doing that. (They could have told me that the dent needed 'significant, expensive repairs' and I would have believed them but they have integrity -- a valued characteristic, especially in an auto repair company). Was impressed with this place; I went to this place to get an estimate for my front and back bumpers. Although my back bumper still needs a paint job, my front bumper was completely fixed with no cost. It took them less than 30 minutes to fix my front bumper, reduce my back bumper damage, and write an estimate for me. I went to another place right before I came to this place who estimated me $800 for my repairs. Good thing I came to Western Collision Works for another estimate. Conclusion? I've been to a handful of body shops in my 8 years in LA, and I think Western Collision is my favorite. My car looks brand new and the price ended up being $100 less than their own estimate. They even fixed a break light that was unrelated to the repair. I originally got estimates from 4 different shops. Western Collision's estimate was right in the middle, so I got the impression that they aren't the type to cut corners, but also not the type to rip people off. When I came back to them and told them my insurance would only cover up to a certain amount, they worked with me to bring the cost down. Then they were like, "oh your tail light is out, we'll fix that." They gave me a lifetime warranty for the repairs which I will keep in my glove compartment. They also washed the car inside and out! Vacuum and everything. And maybe even a polish?...My car looks fantastic and the cost was the same as the lowest estimate from another shop. I got into a car accident a couple of months ago and had some minor body work (some side panel and rear damage) done at Western Collision. First off, the customer service here is TOP NOTCH. I cannot stress that enough. Everyone that works here is knowledgeable, kind and you don't feel like they're here to swindle you for all you're worth. They were quick to answer and address any concerns I had via phone/email. And whenever I came into the office, they made sure I was comfortable and offered me drinks and snacks. Plus, they were very accommodating with my schedule. I worked during their usual office hours and they didn't charge me/give me a tough time (as other body shops have done in the past) when I asked to pick it up the day after they called. ALSO: ARMAN IS TERRIFIC. Two weeks after I picked up my car from Western Collision, a window panel flew off my car as I was driving up the grape vine. I had my car dealership quote it at $35 for parts + a little extra for labour. Arman said he'd do it free of charge -- a true testament to his AMAZING customer service. Didn't actually get my car fixed here but wanted to speak to the integrity of the business. My hood was messed up but I drove to this place after reading through many many many places on Yelp. Hard to find a trustworthy auto shop. This was especially important because of my limited funds and lack of knowledge of cars. Showed up here and the guy checked out my car without opening the hood. He said if he opened the hood, it might not be able to close it again, thus forcing me to leave the car there. He eyeballed it and gave me his estimate. I was leaning toward just donating the car at that point and discussed it with him. He provided valuable insight. In the end, my parents fixed my car back up in the Bay but I thought I would recommend this establishment anyway. I will be back if I have any future car trouble. *knock on wood* read more
