i've been wanting to try this place cause I drive by every so often. It was your basic Greek pizza. It was OK. I mean it was Greek pizza. What I found disturbing was the the gentleman that served me did not change his gloves after he handled money other things before he went back to handling the food. That's the whole point of gloves is so you don't touch anything else and contaminate the food. Change your gloves dude once you walk away from preparing some of the food and re-put on a new after you touch money, etc.. sheesh read more

This is a small little place with take out only, but the menu here is huge! I wanted to try a couple of things before writing this review and unfortunately I dont have pictures yet, but next time I'll try to remember before I start eating. The first thing I had here was the pizza. This place not only makes good pizza, they also cook it the way you ask for it. They can do a well done pizza for my mom and not burn it. They have a great sauce and use the perfect balance of cheese and toppings. We also had to try the nachos. The portion is huge and literally could feed both me and my husband. I use my taco sauce from home because I like alot more than they give you, but you could probably order extra if you needed it. It is tortilla chips with cheese and jalapeños and you can add meat of your choice These are really yummy. The last thing we tried was the cheesy bacon fries. It was the only thing we threw away. If you like cheese sauce on fries you will like them, but we were disappointed they did not use real cheese like they did in the nachos. They also sell chips, bottled soda, fresh desserts, and a large variety of other food options. In good weather their is a park across the street with picnic areas and they do have a table outside the shop as well. They do not have public bathrooms here and no indoor seating. They do have good food at reasonable prices. Stop by if you're passing through. You will be glad you did. read more

I stopped in here for lunch very recently. This pizza place offers pizza (by the pie), subs, appetizers, salads, pasta dinners, and Coke products. Individual pizza slices are NOT sold at this shop, but you can head over to the Mobil On The Run station on NH 114 at NH 9, where pizza slices made by Western Avenue Pizzeria are sold (self serve heated display case), 2 slices for $3, quick and easy! The shop is pretty cozy with an open kitchen and a few tables for eating in. For takeout, I ordered a Small Cheese Pizza ($4.99) and a Large Turkey Sub Combo ($7.50), which comes with fries and a 20 oz Coke product from the cooler. The food was ready in about 12 minutes and immediately afterwards I headed over to the Mobil station for 2 pizza slices (I got a slice of pepperoni and slice of bacon), especially for this Yelp. The pizza and pizza slices were okay, the thin crust was very chewy and firm, rolled edges, breadlike texture and a smooth browned bottom crust, with minimal toppings, sauce, and cheese. I wouldn't write home about the pizza. However, the large turkey sub was pretty good and made to order with lots of thin smoked turkey slices, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, provolone cheese, and light on the mayo in a good sub roll from Piantedosi Baking Co. Sadly I am leaving 2 stars because of the surly attitude and the poor Customer Service. The food is fair, regular pizza place type food. It's nothing outstanding but it was convenient as it is a half mile from my house. Earlier in the year it took me two hours to get a cheeseburger sub. If I hadn't paid for it in advance so that I could grab and go, I would have bailed. No apologies, nothing. There were eight people working in there at the time. The food and service is great....But when my husband went to stop by and order pizza on a Friday night it wasn't even 8:30pm and they were not open.Not sure what happened but when you advertised your hrs.to be open till 10pm that's what people expect. Recently tried to order delivery to a house across the street as we are in quarantine to ensure the safety of others. They promptly told us they wouldn't deliver to us. We then asked if someone we know could come pick it up instead to leave at our doorstep. They also told us no, and were very rude. Disappointing. read more

This Pizza joint does in fact offer "by the slice". I stopped & got 1 cheese & 1 pepperoni to try out the pizza. The slices are a good size with a thin, perfect crust and although the taste isn't at all bad, just a bit bland for my taste. This is our favorite take-out spot. Russ (owner) and crew offer a big, big menu across all tastes. Want a great cheeseburger with fries? Got it... and cheaper than the chains. How about a gyro (steak tips or chicken)? Got it....and on one of the tastiest pitas I've had in a long time. Butterflied-shrimp with salad and fries? Beautiful. Aside from the fact that Western Ave. serves a full range of subs and hoagies and salads (Greek is the wife's favorite), there's a killer steak bomb and a great fried chicken dinner.....this place could stand alone on its fabulous pies. Our favorites include the eggplant-parm pizza and the chicken Alfredo with broccoli pizza. Great kids menu and if you need them to bring it to you they will (there's a minimum of course, but it's something like an order of $15 to get your pie delivered to your door). This was our first time ordering from here as we are new in town. The delivery was quick and friendly, the pizza was great and A LOT of fresh toppings!! My only complaint is the crust is so thin, the center is a bit soggy. Maybe that's an east coast thing. Definitely will make this our go-to spot though. read more

Hours of operation are false. Tried to get delivery 30+ minutes before closing and they ignored my call on multiple occasions so I drove there before they closed. They then said they'll only make "cold subs". They then gave attitude when I asked about their hours. In my opinion consistency seems to be an issue at this establishment. When you order something it's never the same twice in a row. The menu is to big for the amount of business they do. That tells me a lot of the items are frozen and probably cooked ala TIME-5:00- START*****DING. No thanks, I'd pass on everything but the basic menu items. But what forced me to walk out for good and end any patronization was walking in and seeing the sleeveless, pimpley, hairy armpits of the person who was going to prepare my food. Sorry folks but that is downright disgusting. I know it's hot, so what, it comes with the job when you work in food service. That doesn't mean I have to wonder if I have armpit sweat mixed in with the oil and vinegar on my chef salad. Love this place!! Great food & service every time we order! Their chicken tenders are to die for & their homemade honey mustard sauce is fantastic. We go there at least once a week for take out because they're just that good!! Highly recommend it for take out.
