Everything was amazing from the consultation appointment to the surgery. The staff were very informative, friendly, helpful, and attentive. The hospital staff was also amazing. When it was time for me to do my labs and X-rays, they sent the paperwork over through fax or email. Their nutritional information class was very clear and easy to understand.And after my surgery I really didn't have that much pain and I had four incisions on my stomach for the procedure. I went with doctor Brian Quebbemann and he is incredible! Look him up instead! This office is horrible!!!! The people don't care about you at all.... I had one consolation with a score here and he prescribed me medicine for my gerd I had to reach out several times because he never even sent it in meanwhile I was in pain. Dr. David Bernstein was the doctor I had for my bypass surgery. He was very personable when it came to my office appointments. He was also my surgeon. As far as surgery, it went very smoothly and I was able to leave the hospital after a day. St. Bernardine's was very attentive to every need. My incisions have healed beautifully and this is up there in one of the best decisions I have made. read more

I have a lapband that has slipped and need revision to sleeve. I've done everything I'm supposed to do. Did every test and saw every specialist and even did the 6 months of nutrition counseling. Since my last appointment 2 months ago there has been absolutely zero contact initiated by western bariatric. All communication has come from me inquiring. I've been given every bullshit answer in the book. I'm sorry, but it does not take 2 months for a doctor to review a file. The manger Poornima Suiter has promised follow up and failed to do so at every promise deadline. This is substandard care. As a medical office manager I'm embarrassed that I've sent patients here. Now being a patient here and going thru this I will never refer another patient here. I was supposed to here back from Poornima Suiter today. But guess what, no call. Tomorrow I will be filing a grievance with my insurance company. It's obvious western bariatric does not want to do my revision surgery and I need to be referred to somewhere that will do it. Don't waste your time here. The staff is terrible and an embarrassment to the medical community. read more

This place is so confusing that I'm concerned that it's a surgical center. They scheduled my pre-op a month ago and I still don't have a surgery date. The labs they ordered do not exist ( 3rd trip to quest) and I'm basically lost as to why my surgery is being mishandled. The surgery coordinator is a joke... I am so happy with my experience at Western Bariatric! The receptionist helped me schedule an appt. very quickly, after hearing my horror story of waiting over a month at another clinic. Insurance verifier (Christina) went above & beyond to help me understand my copays, & while I was in the office, she even helped me to get an appt. with my general Dr. to expedite my pre-op labs/work up. My nurse (Daniella) was patient & knowledgable in answering my questions & concerns both before & after my surgery. Dr. Martin was so amazing in helping me understand exactly what to expect & making me feel comfortable on surgery day. He did such a great job that I hardly have any scar & just after 3 weeks I am pain free & able to enjoy life again! read more

Stopped by to ask a few questions and was immediately ask "why are you here" I replied with I want to know more about your services. The lady basically yelled back what do you want?!? I said just some information and she gave me a card and said call next time. Very rude and in professional, going to try the San B office in hopes the staff is more professional. When I told her so in an email- she said I was going to have to call to get on their schedule because they don't share records??? She never had any of my records. This the Worse place to book an appointment, the Receptionists are rude when you try to make an appointment. I wouldn't recommend anyone trying to come to this place. Customer service is terrible i got hung up 3 times. I dont know how theses receptionists workers haven't got Terminated for how they treat the customers? Please if you are a supervisor to theses employees, they should get retrained. This type of behavior should not be tolerated in the work place. read more
