I switched from Long Beach location because I was Lucky enough to have Gracie filling in on one of my appointments there ( She is located at Ranch Cucamonga Normally). Seriously, treating your Leg Veins is a challenging experience because of the needles. But SHE IS THE BEST EXPERIENCE!! She is so comforting, she is friendly, understanding, knowledgeable & her voice is soothing.... She always puts music on to relax you. All the Extra touches Help calm you. His recommendation was no surgery at this time but injections with Asclera (polidocanol). I was introduced to Nurse Gracie and her team in Rancho Cucamonga. So glad I came! Everyone is very friendly in the office from the front staff to back, I have now come on 4 visits with same experience each time. I wish there was a zero star option. Yes I'm starting with that statement. This medical office sham is amateur at best. Staff at window makes you wait long for no reason as you hear them talking joking and carrying on. Then they make you fill out a thick packet of papers for just a consultation. They want all your personal information even your drivers license number which is unheard of. And I mean ALL your information. I felt like I was applying to move to Canada or a home loan. Ridiculous just for starters. I was already annoyed. The Dr finally came in for literally 5 minutes. He even had holes in his socks and was wearing crocks. Wow. Not to mention how young he was. I think the male nurse was older than him. They then proceeded to finally do some ultrasound work which took another 5 mins. With a straight face told me I needed surgery and it would be in Tarzana, Ca about 100+ miles away from my home. And the kicker was that this was their "only" location for surgeries. What another joke. I spent more time waiting to be finally be seen than being evaluated. They immediately billed me for services that weren't even rendered. They tried to bill me $6,000 for a surgery I never had. I told them I wasn't going way over there to have surgery and I have no car. I contacted my local union benefits office and told them beware that it's a scam they're trying to pull. All I had was a consultation and ultrasound. By the way the staff never informed me the costs or plan on action and recovery processes. So everything was a surprise and on their terms and timing. Pretty much felt ignored and passed up on from entire staff. I'll never step foot or contact them for anything ever again. My goal is tell as many people I can about this place. They obviously spend more money time and energy on all their commercials jingles and billboards on the 10 west freeway than on their practice. I should have known after the initial visit which consisted of a two-hour wait, and a three-hour overall office visit. That I was in trouble. I then get a call the next day, saying that the pictures that they got for my insurance company we're not sufficient and we needed to retake more pictures. Then I get a call the day after that saying that they now had lost those 2 days worth of pictures, and we needed to retake them for a third time. This is the level of incompetence that I dealt with the whole time I was interacting with this company. Now on to the financials, and the scam that this company is involved in. For those that know and understand insurance, I have fully met my medical deductible for the year, and the surgery would be fully covered under my insurance as verified by Anna the office manager at the Rancho Cucamonga branch. So now everything is set, I have a date for the surgery, and we are good to go right? No! Not at all. I then get a call about two weeks later from Pamela the office manager from another location, saying that I would owe them another $2,000 flat. I was irate, as I was on to their scam immediately! I asked to speak with the manager in charge after she was unable to tell me what the $2,000 would even be for. On to Alina, this is the manager that I am told is the head person in charge of Western Medical. What a joke! This lady, using the term loosely, is it the most unprofessional, untruthful, and immoral person that I've ever worked with in business. I caught her in so many lies, over the course of the few days that I spoke with her, that I decided if this is the person that this company has put in charge to deal with the public and their clients, there was absolutely no way that I would ever let them operate on me. Through the course of speaking with Alina, the amount jumped from $2,000, to $2,700, to $4,400! The best way she could describe what the money was for, was to put it aside in case the insurance company didn't pay them everything that they wanted! She could not, and would not validate what I was told by Anna, that there would be no out-of-pocket. She simply stated, that it didn't matter what Anna had told me, it is what it is. Needless to say I will add to their claims with the Better Business Bureau, and do everything I can to try to prevent this from happening to anyone that doesn't know better.
