Andy was amazing! I had a very difficult situation that he solved in no time. Many months back, the deadbolt lock on our French door was snapped,which means that the inner rod that turns the deadbolt into place could no longer do its job without the assistance of a wrench:( When it originally happened, I took the whole three point locking system apart. I tried as much as I could to fix it, and to my dismay I could not because the inner locking system is set up like a puzzle:( I tried other resources to see who might be able to fix it,and everyone I asked was clueless! No one could even give me any recommendations ( at least non that I hadn't tried.) I felt lost and worried that there would be no way to fix this lock except to buy a new lock all together! or worse, a whole new set of French doors! I called Andy up and he was great. He even requested some photos so he could get an idea of what he was up against before he came. He was prompt, very friendly and professional. He went straight to work and fixed it like it was nothing! I was tremendously impressed! He was neat,and we had a bit of a conversation. I called Western Locksmith after going on Yelp and reading reviews. I was very pleased with the service I received. He had put locks on a doll case, china cabinet and a storage room. The locks he put on the doll case and china cabinet was very professional looking. Andy went out of his way to assure the locks matched the color of the wood frame. I had to get all these locks done because my mom has different caregivers during the weekends; and some of our items in the house has been stolen. I just signed up with Yelp so I could write my very first review. It was late on a Sunday evening and I had to leave later that night and I needed a key made. This was no ordinary key, you can't find this blank anywhere but a locksmith!! I called every locksmith in the book with no luck. I made 1 more call before I was giving up. I had to have this copy made before I left so I didn't have to leave my original behind, just a working copy!! I called Western Locksmith all the way down in San Jose, quite a ways from my home in Mtn View. The call was answered right away by the owner, Andy. I explained my dilemma and Andy told me to take a picture of the key and send it to him and he could tell me if he had the blank. He called back right away and told me he could make a copy of my key and he would guarantee it would work!!! I drove down to San Jose and met Andy. He cut the copy for me, and did NOT charge me an arm &/or leg for doing so now pretty late Sunday night!!! Thank you Andy for being a stand up guy, being honest and fair. He was very efficient and even re-aligned a lock that had been improperly installed so that now it works smoothly. I thought the price was reasonable. First thing, don't bother wasting your time with a dealer. I called every dealer on the peninsula some went above and beyond (Fremont Kawasaki actually helped me track the bikes origin to see if the dealer had the key code thanks guys!) and some didn't even know what to do and simply said "call a locksmith"! Even the place I bought the bike from! One dealer even referred me to their "guy" who quoted me $300 to get the keys. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Second I watched every youtube video in the entire world to try and figure out where my "keycode" was even tryed pulling off the ignition cylinder and everything. Here's a tip that I wish someone told me sooner. Newer bikes, (mine being a 2015) do not have the key code stamped on there anymore due to theft. If you have a older bike you are in luck, if not DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Solution after spending more time then I needed to, three months exact and reading through countless threads about what someone did back in the day and calling their sources which told me the same old thing "no key code no solution" or "send us your lock cylinder if you can remove it" . I stumbled across a man by the name of Andy! PLEASE CALL HIM BEFORE WASTING TIME AND MONEY. This guy not only knows his shit and way around motorcycles but is the best damn mobile locksmith I have met. His customer service is by far the best. I called him today 1/11 in the late afternoon explained my situation and he told me he could be at my house in a couple hours after asking a few questions!! Same day service? GREAT! He not only arrived on time, and worked in the dark with one flashlight but was able to do what other locksmiths I called in the Bay Area couldn't. It only took him about an hour. Let me just emphasize again dude literally worked in the dark! I was amazed! Probably even do it quicker if he had light. Here's the best part after finishing he tells me about what he did etc. and not only gives me one but TWO FREE keys. His price was more than reasonable and the BEST I could find in the Bay Area for someone who stood in the dark and cold to accomplish this task in the time he did. So if you ever lose your keys I highly recommend not wasting your time and call Andy. read more

Andy is our last minute savior! We found him on a recommendation from another local locksmith. He is so friendly and prompt, came out to the property about three times, (the first time he was turned away because the person who had called, me, forgot to tell him it was her day off.) We inconvenienced him in a way, but he was nothing but polite and patient with our company and shenanigans. He went above and beyond in educating us on what exactly was going on with one of our locks. Fixed locks, re-keyed some locks, cut some keys. This guy can do it all. Our usual locksmith, who likes to go in hiding sometimes, reappeared, so we won't need Western Locksmith for the time being. Had lost the keys to my 2006 HONDA CBR 600 the previous night and it was a Saturday so not many locksmiths were available at a call especially for a motorcycle key since these bikes do not carry many references on how to recreate the lost key. I called several places and they either said they were too busy or could not do it and if they can, it wouldn't be a guarantee. Western locksmith was available the instant I called and i scheduled an appointment for 4pm he came right on time but he told me it can take anywhere from 1 hour to 6 hours and even at 6 hours he might not be able to Crack the key and would not charge me but time wasted so I agreed to take on the offer. He ran me a rate of $200 and AMAZINGLY CRACKED MY KEY AND LOCK IN ONLY 56 MINS! I was so relieved, he really does know what he's doing and provides great information about the lock. I was given two copies at the end and also a code to cut my keys in the future if I had ever lost them again so I wouldn't have to waste money on a lock smith. My parents' house front door lock got stuck while they were away on vacation. Called several companies and one of them referred me to Andy at Western Locksmith as they didn't have availability. Talked to Andy, described the issue. He even got online while we were on the phone to look at a picture of a similar lock to make sure he understood what I was dealing with. Gave me a best case/worst case quote right then and arranged my appointment several hours later. He came on time, was able to quickly get the door unlocked and took the lock apart to see if it was salvageable. He easily could have told me that I needed to replace it (which would have been a major deal given these types of locks are no longer sold), but he did exactly the opposite. He cleaned it, greased it, re-keyed it, and put it back together, saying it should work for another 10 years. The actual cost ended up being pretty close to the best case he quoted me on the phone.
