    Speechless. My stomach's turning as I think about this... My grandfather passed last year, and I recall him opening this lock box as a child, filled with family memories. I haven't been able to get in, as I have boxes upon boxes of keys. Well I mentioned to my mom Foster Brothers' and how I was going to reach out to them - as grandfather went here for as long as I can remember, and trusted... She apparently took this lock box there, as I went to pick up lunch ( i.e. I wasn't aware of this happening. ) So she goes in with the box and asked if they could get in. It was never communicated to her that their idea of 'getting in' was destructive! Once they started drilling/prying, she stopped them and called me. I nearly threw up upon learning about was happening. What in the world was going through this person's head - you have a lock box that's the better part of a century old, mint condition ( family heirloom might as well of been etched across it...) .... pry/drill the thing open, why not... I'm shocked that this was even considered. And using a DRILL and PRYING the box open should have been clearly communicated prior. BEFORE YOU DESTROY SOMETHING - YOU COMMUNICATE AS CLEARLY AS YOU CAN - CONSENT - CONSENT - CONSENT! It is 2024! The lack of critical thinking is beyond the pale here - and this is NOT the company my grandfather Trusted anymore I suppose. I'm horrified. Again, I can't eat my lunch thinking about this! This person didn't think that this wasn't something I could have done ( as I write this, I'm literally seeing double...so apologies upfront. ) Again, a person goes to a place like this, in order to get services that are beyond that of a drill ( of which I own a couple ) and/or pliers ( again, I have a bunch of these too. ) The things made out of paper thin sheet metal. So disappointed. This is not the company you remember - you have been warned. +++ UPDATE: The day after writing the above, I reached out to the company to see what corrective actions/training might come about - to ensure others in the future could avoid my fate. I had a day to re-calibrate and reflect, asking them in earnest for a talk as adults. That was a little over two weeks at the time of this update, and haven't heard back. ( They can still reach out to me, my doors are open. ) I have to go off of what I know and honestly the silence is deafening. When I mess up, I own up - and try to improve. Been on this planet for a half century, and still when I see this sort of behavior - am deeply sadden.

    Paul saved my child…read more Story time: I was with my two kids and we were getting ready to leave for my oldest's gymnastics class. Before I buckled my 2.5 year old in his car seat, I placed the keys in his cup holder. At some point while buckling him, the doors auto-locked. I did not realize that happened until after I closed the door -- unfortunately, with the keys still in the cup holder. As you can imagine, I panicked. Luckily, the van was parked in a partially shaded spot. However, the sun was shining through the windshield. I imagined the interior slowly heating up. Immediately, I called the nearest locksmith, A-Able Locksmith. I spoke with Paul and told him it was an emergency. I also called 911 because I wasn't sure how long it would take Paul to get there. To my surprise, he actually showed up before the fire dept arrived! And in seconds, he got my son out of the car. I am so thankful for Paul and will never forget how he saved my son.

I messaged him on a Sunday morning through Yelp provided some pictures and a video. He knew exactly what needed to be done and gave me an adequate quote. I even followed up with some questions on some additional work where I wanted to add Level Lock Bolt. He responded, giving me free advice, knowing that the smart upgrade I wanted wouldn't work. Despite that, I had him come over to fix my lock. It was a quick rekey and I was good to go. He even went above and beyond and gave me another copy of my key at no cost. If I ever have any more lock related issues in the future, I definitely would recommend.

    I had a great experience and would highly recommend Kfir Cohen!…read more My Honda key fob had stopped working, and I was worried I'd have to go through the dealership and spend a fortune. He was able to help me reprogram my existing key and also got me set up with a new key that includes remote start, which has been awesome. What really stood out was his customer service. The second day, I had an issue where the battery in the new key died. I texted him and received a response the same day. He immediately offered for me to stop by so he could replace the battery. I ended up buying a battery myself, and he still offered to help if I had any issues getting it working. He was very kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was working properly. Thank you again for all your help!

I couldn't even explain to myself how unprofessional you were to me because you kept cutting me off. Had you listened and apologized I would not have to take to yelp to make a review. You attitude and, lack of customer service skills was clear as you stepped out of your vehicle. I own my business and work as a nurse and I understand refusal of services but you clearly said you would perform a service on the phone and when we got there you took 30 seconds to refuse service when you saw myself, my daughter and my luxury vehicle. All of the sudden the documents we had didn't suffice. You could have told us over the phone you couldn't do it, there where so many other business we could have went with and in the end we did. Updated Review: I spent some time on the phone with this guy explaining that I only had a copy of my passport and I just moved and somehow my registration papers had been misplaced. I explained this to him so that neither of us would waste our time as I waited 1.5 hours for him. He assured me it wouldn't be a problem. However as soon as he saw me and my daughter, he gave me attitude and refused to help me even though I was polite and explained to him that I felt it very unprofessional of him to say he would create the key and then refuse service as soon as he saw me. Maybe there is a language barrier? That may be an issue for him, I can only guess. And yes I see race as I am black and have had people mistreat me and my family because of our race, so when you say you will do something over the phone and then as soon as you see me, you refuse, I can only come to one conclusion. And to just call me crazy and to gaslight my experience shows your lack of customer service skills. We called some other company out and they came over in 30 mins, made our key and said that this guy didn't know what he was talking about. And the temp registration and copy of my passport was enough to suffice to make me a key. I seldom do reviews but felt this was warranted.
