    Navien tankless water heater
    Kristina F.

Tony & Kevin came out to access an igniter issue I had with my Takagi tankless water heater. They arrived on time and had great communication with me. The problem wasn't able to be fixed due to my tankless being 13 years old and the same issue has been repaired previously. They ended up coming out the very next day to install a new Navien tankless water heater. I am very pleased with the new one. Everything works great! I highly recommend Western Rooter.

Water heater after installation, a bit of a rough spot since it's pinched between two countertops in the corner of the garage.

Our 10-year old water heater (40-Gallon Rheem Storage Tank) started leaking and I found Western Rooter through Angi (formerly Angie's List), they were quick to contact me and set up a time for technicians to come by. Their technicians Omar and Carlos worked quickly but were still careful and thorough with the installation even though it was in a relatively difficult spot in the garage, so definitely shout out to the both of them. Also FYI, I was told they only install Bradford White water heaters - I didn't mind since I had done a bit of research myself and read good things about this brand's storage tank water heaters despite possibly having a higher upfront cost compared to other brands. Overall, I'm definitely happy with their customer service and would contact them again for other plumbing jobs - especially since they offer 24/7 service if needed.

Leak still there. This isn't worth $1200 for a same day repair. The higher price doesn't mean reassurance.

Paid high price for same day underhouse pipe repair. Tech left twice during middle of repair for whatever reason, and the repair still leaked thru the weekend. Requested for the earliest tech to come monday, but got delayed and they decided to send back the same tech later at noon. Can't seem to know what else would go wrong. Get charged more to fix the same issue? Just gonna have to wait to find out.

    Before.

Johnny was very knowledgeable. He assessed the problem accurately and save us from spending several thousand dollars in unnecessary repairs.

I really appreciated that he gave me several options to consider instead of pressuring me into one solution. What impressed me most was how clearly he explained everything. Since I know very little about how HVAC systems work, he broke it down in a way that was easy to understand--almost like he was teaching an elementary school student, but in the best way possible. He was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly skilled. Thank you, All City, for sending someone with Sky's expertise and valueto my home. He's a true asset to your team, and I highly recommend both him and All City!

We hired this company to repair a water leak and replace our water heater. While the leak itself…read morewas eventually fixed and the job did ultimately pass every city inspection, the process took about a month longer than it should have and cost us real time, stress, and lost work -- issues we feel other homeowners should know about before hiring. Work began July 5th with tank removal and drywall demo by Collen S. and his partner. The next day, they repaired the leak by replacing about 6 feet of PEX line, and a subcontractor patched the drywall. About 20 minutes after the patch was done, Collen S. told us the new water heater install was good to go. We specifically asked whether a permit was needed -- for both the leak repair and the water heater install -- and Collen S. and his partner told us twice that day that it wasn't. We requested one anyway. That turned out to matter a great deal. On July 14th, Collen S. gave us only about 30 minutes' notice before the inspector arrived, even though we had asked him to give us a day in advance so we could request time off work to be present. The inspector arrived anyway, and when we asked directly, he confirmed that both the water heater installation and the PEX line replacement had been done without the required permits -- meaning both jobs were effectively illegal until they could be properly permitted and inspected. This flatly contradicted what Collen S. and his partner had told us twice on-site. The next day, we called the company's manager, Steve, and raised three concerns: the contradictory permit information, the last-minute inspection notice, and our request for a different crew going forward. On July 21st, a new tech, Michael, introduced himself, and the City of Eastvale inspected the drywall repair. The city did not approve it and required the wall reopened for a mold check. Michael returned that same day to reopen it. On July 27th, the city inspected inside the wall, confirmed no mold, and approved the space to be patched and the water heater reinstalled. Drywall repatching happened August 3rd, and the final inspection closed everything out August 6th -- roughly a month after the leak repair began. On top of the permit issues, we were also pressured more than once to buy add-on services unrelated to our leak. Collen S. showed us "dirty" pipes at least twice in what felt less like genuine advice and more like an attempt to play on our emotions to drive a commission-based sale of a whole-house filtration system. He also pushed a full home re-pipe on separate occasions -- again, unrelated to what we'd actually called about. To be fair, the leak repair itself was solid, the city inspectors were thorough, and the job ultimately passed every inspection with no mold found. But getting there cost us two additional days off work -- one for the re-inspection that was only necessary because permits weren't pulled correctly from the start, and one for the wall re-closing after the unapproved drywall job had to be reopened -- plus significant back-and-forth to sort out miscommunication that should never have happened. We're hopeful the company will work with us to make this right, since the repairs themselves held up -- it was everything around them that fell short. A crew not knowing (or misrepresenting) basic permit requirements, and using emotional pressure tactics to upsell unrelated services, are things we don't think any customer should have to tolerate -- and we'd encourage this company to address both with its technicians directly. Because of the permit miscommunication that left our repairs technically illegal for over a week, the last-minute inspection scheduling, the repeated upselling pressure, and the extra days off work it all cost us, we cannot recommend this company.

They provided white glove service from quotation all the way through installation. I was simple to book a same day inspection and quote request for a new HVAC unit online. The repair technician Angel Perez was just that, an absolute angel. He was unbelievably kind and knowledgeable. After meeting with him and hearing him speak to other members of the company over the phone, I knew this was a special company. The employees spoke to each other like family. Once I submitted my signed contact online, Angel thanked me for choosing them and welcomed me to the family. Contract provides excellent warranty on parts and labor. Unit included install of ecobee smart thermostat, which I am in love with! Not sure how I got by all this time without one. By far the best quoted price out of the four I received. On the day of installation I received a text update with a photo and name of the lead installation technician Jon Neves. He and his team arrived right now time and finished the work exactly at their provided estimated completion time. The team placed a mat by the front door entrance to my house, which was a very nice touch, covered carpeted areas where they would be walking. After the job was complete they vacuumed their work space and it was like they weren't even in the house. The group of guys working in the installation took great care in everything they did. My installation required a crane to get the unit on top of my house and The Purple Crane was in and out quickly. The crane didn't disrupt my neighbors or even the trash service that morning. The crane was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommend Steve's 5 Star Service. They offer a service membership for less than $20 a month to handle HVAC tune ups, water heater flushes, and any service needs. You read that correctly, they also do plumbing! They will now be my go to for any plumbing needs. I'm due for a new water heater and I will be contacting them in the near future to handle my replacement. Steve's 5 Star Service took such great care of my baby girl and I during the heat. They were urgent to get us some reprieve from the heat and cool air into our home again. They are the nicest group of people I've ever hired. True to their word, take great pride in their work, take respectful care of their customers and provide easy breezey service. Shout out to the wonderful team that assist me on this project: Angel Perez, Jon Neves, Brad, Javier and The Purple Crane. Thank you thank you! I cannot thank you all enough! It was a pleasure working with you. Breana Cumberland Smith Chino, CA

Steve's Five Star Service kept appearing on my list, and after my experience with them, I completely understand why. Angel came out that Saturday for the consultation. He was professional, knowledgeable, and honest about what our home needed. He carefully explained our options and walked me through the entire process, so I always knew what was happening and never felt left out of the loop. I also really appreciated the text updates letting me know when the technicians were on their way. The arrival times were accurate and made everything much easier to plan. By Tuesday, José, Jessie, and Brad arrived around 9:00 a.m. to install our new 3-ton high-efficiency heat pump system. They kept me updated throughout the installation, answered my questions, and completed everything by about 5:00 p.m. Their professionalism, communication, knowledge, cleanliness, and attention to detail were outstanding. The installation looks clean and organized, and they treated my home with respect. The price was reasonable, and most importantly, the new system runs amazingly well and is very quiet. Our home is comfortable again, and they made what started as a stressful situation much easier for my family. A huge thank-you to Angel, José, Jessie, and Brad. Steve's Five Star Service should be proud to have employees like them representing the company. Their hard work and the way they treat customers deserve to be recognized. Honestly, this entire crew deserves a raise. I would confidently recommend them to anyone needing heating or air-conditioning service.
