Folks, I don't know what are peoples opinion. But in my case Dr Polavaram was concerned that I was over weight and adviced some dietary changes. After 90 days of the dietary protocol. I achieved some very stunning results. First my A1C dropped from 6.4 to 5.8. Second my Blood Sugar dropped from 125 to 109 and thirdly my Cholesterol dropped from 203 to 146. These are stellar results just with diet control. I will continue this trend. My body feels light, I lost 7 lbs too. I feel healthier. I DONT CARE if the seats are torn, the ceiling may show signs of water damage or other cosmetic events. The patients in the current era are simply spoilt by technology and convenience. The ER is just a joke. Day 2 in basically a storage room. Conflicting diagnoses. No real help. Don't come here.

Been going here 5 years. NEVER ONCE has an appointment been held remotely close to on time. An hour late as I write this now at today's appointment. If occasionally late, no big deal, but this is ALWAYS LATE. Even if these guys are to reply to my comment stating they were dealing with another patient emergency I would not buy it. The state of energy here is lame. If a patient was having an emergency and went to this location, that patient would made a fatal mistake. They can't possibly have been dealing with an emergency every single time I go here - the place is like 3 rooms. And it's kind of dumpy too, see pictures. UPDATE 1 week later. The office proceeded to refer me to a specialist. I waited a week and did not hear from the specialist. Turns out, these pros referred to a place that does not accept my insurance....like....isn't that referral 101.... to check that the referral office take the patient's insurance? read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about both Dr Polavarams! My husband has been a patient of Dr Raj Polavaram for many years and my daughters & I have recently become patients of Dr V Polavaram earlier this year. They are both very warm & caring, with impeccable bedside manner. Both doctors take their time with us during every visit & make us feel like we are a priority to them. Unprofessional. I came in with a complaint and explained I needed a non-narcotic solution to the pain I was experiencing. Very long story short I was accused of drug seeking in front of my child when all I needed was a rescue inhaler. It took an entire trip to the emergency room in order to get the care I needed because the doctor expected me to know the course of treatment instead of just doing her job. I would give zero stars if it was even physically possible because they really are just that awful. read more

I live in North Raleigh and work in Durham. Why would I trek to Cary for a doctor? Because Dr. Raj Polavaram is worth it. He listens and actually hears what you're saying. Dr. Raj breaks it down for you regarding the medical condition, possible treatments, and consequences of no treatment. He doesn't prescribe unnecessary medications, treatments or procedures. He gets you to focus on healthy living: diet and exercise. I've never had to wait long with my scheduled appointment, and never felt rushed once I've seen the doctor. The staff is very pleasant, and they have an onsite phlebotomist who gets you in and out of there in no time. read more

Had a great experience with Dr. Raj! He really takes time with his patients. The wait time is long sometimes but its only because he spends a lot of time with each patient. :) Definitely would recommend this doctor's office to all of my friends and family!!!! read more

Attentive, was welcomed by a pleasant staff. Office was fair. I actually expected a little more but overall still a good experience.

I will say that Dr Raj might get behind sometimes and that you might have to wait but that is for a very good reason. Dr Rag is unlike any other DR that I have met. He actually takes his time and listens to you instead of a fast in and out service. I have been going to Dr Raj for over 5 years now and you will not find a better Dr. I have had to wait and have been sometimes over an hour but when it was my turn I was not rushed or given any less attention. If you are looking for a Dr that keeps his or her schedule perfect then maybe find a different Dr but if you want to be given the best service and care from a very caring Dr then Dr Raj is hands down worth the wait!!!!! read more

Western Wake internal medicine has been my doctors since 2013. They have been very good at keeping me well. They were able to diagnose my blood pressure medicine that I was using as the reason for my cough. I was impressed. Like any doctors office sometimes you have a short wait, but a good doctor(s) are busy. read more

Waited for over an hour to see a doctor despite a scheduled appointment. When he is with you, he pays attention to your questions but in my case he decided to take a conference call while I was sitting in the waiting room, and his staff was telling me that he was dealing with an emergency in another room. read more

I did my research and called several medical offices with a designated civil surgeon for immigration purposes in order to save some bucks. One of the many medical offices I called on August 10th, 2016 was Western Wake Internal Medicine in Cary, NC. I opted to bring my dad to their office because according to the lady I spoke to at 919-319-6610, the medical exam/Lab tests (urine & blood work)/Physical exam/vaccinations will only cost $450 (like a package deal) and the bonus to that was that, that $450 is already the maximum total cost which could possibly be reduced if my Dad's blood work results will show that he already has the other vaccines like the MMR. I called them again in the morning of October 5th, 2016 to reconfirm about the cost and the "package" deal and to inquire if I will still need to make an appointment to bring my Dad to their office. I was told the same thing that the lab tests/medical/physical exam and vaccinations will cost $450 and will possibly be discounted if the result of the blood work will show that my Dad already has the vaccines. I was also told that we can just walk-in to the office but he advised us to go there at 2:30pm on October 5th, 2016. I asked the gentleman I spoke to that morning (08:11AM) on the 5th of October to list my Dad down for 2:30pm. They did the blood work for my dad and the other lab tests. My Dad was also given the Flu shot and tdap. The doctor interviewed my Dad and did some physical examinations. When I was about to do my payment, I asked the lady in the front desk how I will get refunded if ever the blood results will show that my Dad already has MMR. She told me that I only needed to pay $300 for that day. The $150 will be paid the next time we come back which was Friday, October 7th, 2016, if ever my Dad will need to be given the MMR vaccine. On October 7th, 2016, my husband had to accompany my Dad to the Doctor's office because I had to go to work. They were told that my Dad needed the MMR and they didn't have it available in their office and that they advised them to go to a minute clinic like CVS or Walgreens to get the MMR. They were also told to bring the paper works from CVS/Walgreens or from whatever minute clinic they will get the MMR vaccine. After getting the MMR vaccination, my Dad and my husband went back to Western Wake Internal Medicine to show the proof that the MMR had been administered. My Dad was then asked by the same lady I spoke to on October 5th, 2016, to pay the $150. My husband spoke to that lady and the Doctor as well to explain what I have told my husband before they went to see the Doctor: that they didn't have to pay the $150 if they will not have to give my Dad the MMR vaccine. Since my Dad had the vaccine from CVS where we paid $130 for it, I was expecting Western Wake Internal Medicine not to collect the $150. Apparently, my husband was told by the lady in the front desk and by the doctor that the $150 was the Doctor's fee. My husband told them that he will not argue with them about the payment but he will let me see them instead on Monday, October 10th, 2016 to straighten things out. I came back on the 10th of October and asked the same lady who I spoke to on October 5th for an explanation why I still had to pay for the $150 when they didn't administer the MMR vaccine on my Dad. She told me that the $150 was not for the MMR because they don't actually have MMR vaccine in their office. She added that the $150 was the payment for the paper works. I complained about how their information was very deceiving and inconsistent. I told them that my husband was told that the $150 was the Doctor's fee. Then I was told that it was for the paper work. I also reminded her about the information i was told when called them in August and in the morning of October 5th before I brought my Dad to their office that the $450 will cover the physical/medical exam, lab tests and the vaccinations. She even told me that the gentleman i spoke to in the morning of October 5th was actually the doctor who attended to us that afternoon. She then said I can speak to the Doctor if I want to. I just told her that I will just make the payment and I will just file for a complaint and do reviews about their services. I am hoping that my concerns will be addressed. This incident seemed to be very deceiving on my part. I made it clear before we went to Western Wake Internal Medicine that the $450 will already cover everything (Physical/Medical exams, Lab Tests and Vaccinations) that we will need to process my father's immigration papers. I chose to bring my Dad to their office because I was made to believe that the maximum cost I will be paying is $450 and the hope that I will even be paying less than $450 if my Dad's blood work will show that he will no longer need some of the vaccines. read more

Dr. Vijaya Polavaram is the absolute worse I've ever encountered. I requested a prescription two weeks ago and she has yet to send the proper information to my insurance so I may purchase this medication (retail cost $1100). I've called, I've left messages, and her incompetent staff is even worse. They haven't a clue and they don't try to find out anything. Meanwhile the pain is so bad I drag my left foot. I had to change my PCM to my previous doctor (2 hours away) just to get the relief I need. She has yet to call me back and apologize for all the pain I've encountered. I have now been to this office a total of 4 times and I have never wanted to scream so hard in my life. These "doctors" and their staff are a bunch of Quacks!!! I am currently pregnant and they are giving me the run around on referring me to an OBGYN. Unfortunately my insurance requires me to go through them first. I called today to see what the hold up was and why no one would call me back and the receptionist continued to speak to other people while on the phone with me and when I asked her about it she preceded to tell me that someone would call me back in a few days and hung up the phone on me.
