I have shopped at Glad Rags both times I was in Lenox while visiting the National Shrine of Divine Mercy. In late November, my husband and I accidentally left my winter coats (including one I just bought at Glad Rags) behind when we checked out of our rental unit. I called Glad Rags to ask for help and boy, did I get help!!!! Mercedes drove to our rental unit in a snowstorm to pick up my coats then boxed them up and shipped them to me, saving me a substantial amount of money since their rate was much less than I would have paid for a service to do the same. I was so grateful to receive my new coat in time for a wedding on December 6th! Also when I bought the coat, the owner and employee made sure that the minor alteration they suggested to move the snaps would indeed work and not cause any mark on the coat! If you are interested in "top notch" customer service, be sure to visit Glad Rags when you are in or near Lenox, MA! You will not be disappointed!

Many of the fashions on display at the store are designed by Polizzi, meaning that if you purchase it there, the odds of encountering smeone else wearing it are fairly minimal. This is a good thing. You can buy everything from designer cowboy boots to home furnishings to hot sauce here, though the focus seems to be on rural-hip women's wear. Certainly all the ingredients you'll need to create a faux Western get-away and buy the clothes for it to boot are present here. Prices are high, but service is wonderful. I found a beautiful long synthetic buckskin coat here and bought it, but decided it was just too long for me. I asked if I could exchange it with a shorter version of the same coat, and the store immediately said it was okay and that they would make up the 40 dollar price difference in store credit. I bought a fabulous coat that was on sale for $60. They have Minnetonka moccasins, Pendleton blankets and towels, cute cowboy hats and plush bison. The staff was so nice and told us stories about local places, gave me a million compliments, and even gave me a random hat for free. I just love this store. I want to live in it.

Snarky, rude and poor customer care…read more There is a sales woman with brown long hair and light eyes who was unapologetically rude and ruined her own sale. My husband was carefully replacing a few socks that my daughter (3yo) had disturbed from their place on display. The saleswoman started to wave her hand frustratedly in my daughter's direction, while repeating "could she NOT! Could she NOT!" Lady, she's 3! And it was being refolded and replaced. I hope the owner knows that I walked OUT. I was planning on spending several hundreds of dollars but, because of that poor attitude, why would I support a brand that hires staff like that?!? When my husband told the woman that this was unacceptable and he was replacing the items to their original place and folding them, she proceeded to tell him to "get a grip sir!" Staff training on customer care is lacking and should immediately be addressed!
