I always come away with some happy combo of cheeses, coffee, fresh flowers, and/or baked goods. There are typically only 2-3 produce vendors, so the lines for those do tend to be long. They usually have one food truck onsite. Parking can be tough to find in the Tremont Center parking lot on market day, but the residential side streets are a good back up. Today they had live steel drum music, which really added to the experience.

They had to move it because Littleton's opened, and uses the parking lot, plus there's the new shelter, which is nice but takes yet more of the lot. Now the market is in the street between the parking lot and the church. Strung out, instead of in a more compact rectangle. Not a huge issue if you can walk fine, but with a senior and a kid in tow- hell, with two bad knees myself- it makes it harder. Speaking of walking, the "walkways" in the parking lot are ridiculous, and dangerous. Interrupted by trees taking up the entire width of the walkway, plus rocks at one end. You have to walk across uneven surfaces or out into the narrow, busy lanes of the lot itself. And then the market is directly beside the lane by the mailboxes, putting people right into traffic. Sad to think someone actually designed it this way on purpose.

So I was a little taken back you got a little bit of everything in this location is really small. And the parking is terrible but what can you expect for downtown? I had to take my ticket inside and if you purchased something from one of the vendors, they have to give you a QR code for the parking garage and it's two dollars for parking. We had Indian food and the food was delicious. The young lady behind the counter was so nice. She let us taste the chicken before purchasing our meals. The food in the North market is expensive. It was almost $40 for two people to eat. Then we had Jennie's ice cream afterwards and it was $15 for two scoops of ice cream. Customer service was great as all the vendors were awesome and explained everything to us. Is this something that I would do again know just because of the parking and most of the restaurants inside of Markette is not something that I would normally eat very clean. There is a second floor for you to sit. I don't know if they had an elevator. I didn't see one, but I know there are stairs to the second floor. Very busy long lines and you feel like you have to rush to order something because all lines were so long.

There is a real difference in great taste and smells of items sold here and those in the grocery stores. The staff seemed to be students mostly, eager to help. The ice cream store is still attached, but the flavors seemed lacking and the atmosphere kind of sad. We passed and went to UDF instead.

We are spoiled with great summer farmers markets in Columbus. I feel like each of them has kind of…read morea unique "personality." Worthington has lots of vendor variety and is hectic and crazy busy. Dublin has lots of food and craft vendors, but not a lot of veggies/fresh produce. Upper Arlington is very small and tends to have the same vendors every week. Clintonville, for me, strikes the perfect balance of food, fresh produce and community. As a special treat, they sometimes have live music. Spontaneous circle dancing even broke out this morning. Fun! There are typically 4-5 food vendors, lots of fruits/veggies/flowers, all kinds of beautiful baked goods and several coffee vendors. The baked goods seem to sell out quickly, so I suggest an early arrival for the best selection.
