Here is a breakdown of what this company charged to get a vehicle out of impound. But first I would like to note that tow was requested at 10:10pm but they towed the vehicle at 4:41pm - the vehicle was backed into a parking spot at Ocotillo Apartments at 4:15pm so less than 30 minutes later it was towed. The apartment has no visible signs upon entry about not backing into a parking spot. Tow $105.00 Storage - 2 Days- $40 Doc fee $55 Total $200 note: the vehicle was towed at 4:41 and picked up SAME DAY AT 7pm. The person who handled everything - yes the same guy everyone else has commented negatively was rude and didn't give a crap about the vehicle being picked up 6 hours before requested time ( apartments must give the vehicle owner time to remedy). This company knowingly engages in shady activities by charging excessive fees and attempting to hold vehicles as collateral to force people to pay. Even when shown city code that states the law, Jesse attempted to create fake exceptions to the law to justify his dishonest dealings. According to Phoenix City Code Section 36-144, a towing company cannot charge an excess of $105 for towing and fees relating to towing. This company will try to charge you $180 and have you sign a consent form to pay that amount without allowing you to read the contract. This is a shady company. read more

Do not use this company as they damaged my "Parked Vehicle" while towing another vehicle which driver Armando Hernandez and manager Jesse failed to provide company insurance due to "small damage" to my vehicle . READ IF YOU WERE TOWED AND NEED TO GET YOUR CAR BACK. This company will go to great lengths overcharge you if you're not careful. Even when we showed Jesse (the guy running the business) the relevant law which limits the amount that they can charge when a car is towed, he still hassled and threatened to not give us the car back unless we paid $180, instead of the $105 which was allowed by the city code in our case. Furthermore, he refused to show us the terms of the release waiver that he wanted us to sign, which is suspicious to say the least. In the end, after a great deal of hassle, he accepted the $105. In case you're in a similar situation, I'm going to leave some instructions to save you some legwork. First, find whatever city code applies to you. The following are the relevant city codes that I found: Phoenix City Code Section 36-144; Glendale City Code Section 24-211; Mesa City Code Title 10, Chapter 9; Scottsdale Revised Code Section 17-123 through 17-123.5; Peoria Section 14-114; Gilbert Section 12-1-19; Chandler Section 16-9-15; Tempe City Code Section 32-6. Second, look through the provisions of your relevant city code and see what the limits are for towing and storage. I'll talk about Phoenix City Code 36-144 because that was the one that applied in my case. In Phoenix, there's currently a $105 limit on towing fees and subsection (C)(5) places limits on storage fees (a maximum of $20 per day, but if you meet certain requirements then they can't charge anything at all). Note that there's nothing in there that creates an exception for charging extra if they are releasing your car on the weekend. Also, Subsection G says that anyone charging an amount in excess of the amounts in 36-144 forfeits their claim to any charges in connection with towing or storage (we didn't use this one, but keep it in mind, especially if you need to take things to small claims court). Third, when you actually go to pick up your car, Jesse (or whoever is there that day) will likely still try to charge you an amount greater than what the relevant city code says. Try to have the code/statute pulled up so that you can reference it and show what the law is (you can view the city codes online and either download it or take screenshots). Knowing these folks, they may threaten to hold your car unless you give in to a higher amount, so you may need to call the police to enforce the law. As part of this, note that the company cannot hold your car as collateral for the payment. The Arizona Supreme Court issued an opinion in 1984 that dealt with this issue, saying that someone can be charged with theft under A.R.S. 13-1802 for refusing to release a towed vehicle until they receive payment. The case is called Capson v. Superior Court of State of Arizona (you can find it by looking on Google Scholar after selecting the Case Law filter). I would have loved to post a good review but unfortunately I can't. My car was towed despite having the business manager giving me the direct Ok to park there. At no time did Chris ever state he would have my car towed. I explained that my car died out I don't really have too much help, and family. I don't know too many people here, but I would do the best I could. I went to my car several times every week just to check on it. The day befor it was towed I called into inform Chris that my father would be coming into town around the early evening and he would be coming to help fix what was wrong. I was also informed that I had flat tires. I reassured him that all would be taken care of the next day. Upon coming I noticed my car was gone. I looked for a name and number as to what company took it. Nothing.... I asked the security guard on duty, and due to me not having my identification, I was unable to ask anyone. I was told no one knew and to wait until Wed when Chris returned. I was informed that it was WESTSIDE towing, and Amanda who was an employee, didn't speak with Chris or even bother to call me. My phone number was written and placed on the front and back window, no one called. They didn't inform PD when they towed either. By the time I got I touch with Rebecca it was already in the next week. I explained what was going on she informed me it would be well over 380 to even get my car to me with all the fees.
