Bought a 2021 ford ranger lariat fx4 from them back in Feb. The salesperson messed my name up on all the paperwork and had to be told multiple times what he did wrong to get it fixed. When he corrected it, he only corrected it on the DMV paperwork, not the auto loan, warranty, gap insurance, or any other paperwork. I pointed this out to them multiple times and they didn't correct it, resulting in me having to call all those institutions and get it corrected myself. He also did not flag the lifted truck option on the warranty he sold me despite the truck being lifted. They fixed this last part for free without any cost to me, so I guess they get half a point for effort there. Now that we get past the initial paperwork part of where this purchase went wrong, let's get into the mechanical issues with the vehicle. On my test drive, I noticed a burnt rubber smell coming from the left rear of the vehicle that I now know is symptomatic of a leaking rear axle seal. The power train warning light was also on the truck. I reported both of these things to the dealer and they said they would fix it with their partnered shop. They took the truck to the shop and told me they need to replace the wiring harness to correct the power train issue error. After that, they had to send the truck to a local transmission shop for a rebuild of the transmission, and that shop told me that there was an axle seal leaking. I passed that information on to the dealership to see if they would fix that or if I would have to, and they completely blew me off. Because of weeks back and forth where the dealership told me repeatedly that they'd communicated with other parties and then I call those parties and they all state they never heard from the dealership, I decided I no longer trusted that dealer or their mechanics at all and I took the car to a ford dealership. Immediately spotted the seal issue and diagnosed that the transfer case motor wasn't engaging. Swapped the motor and then had to diag that the wiring harness was messed up. I would not recommend buying a car from overstockvehicles or their partner organization valleycargroup. The only positive of this experience was getting them to foot the bill on a transmission rebuild for a vehicle that has known transmission issues. read more

I purchased a used vehicle over the internet and funding cleared over a month ago. It took weeks for the transporter to pick it up and deliver it to Texas. They did not provide me with the title, they say they don't have it - and it isn't their responsibility to provide it. The State of Texas will not title it without the previous title, and it cannot be registered. I contacted the Arizona DOT and they said there is no Arizona title for that vehicle. Do not let this happen to you. I'm being fined because I did not retitle it within 30 days - and I'll be fined again at 60 days... read more

Beware! Bait and switch seems to be an approved practice at this dealership. I inquired about a specific car yesterday. Confirmed an appointment to go see it this morning late last night(think 11pm). I took time off of work to go see it, and drove the 45 minutes from south Chandler to go see it. I got there after sitting in traffic an extra 15 minutes, for a total of an hour one way trip. When I got there I was told that that vehicle had already sold. I asked when? And was told it was picked up yesterday morning, but had actually been sold a few days ago!! To say I was upset is an understatement. Even if they had something else that would have worked, there is no way I would work with a company that is so shady! Bought a truck in May, by June the problems started to become apparent. They sold it with an intake manifold split in half and duct taped, a faulty intelligent key system, bad hood latch, bad hood struts, burnt out wiring covered by electrical tape, batteries not approved for the truck, dangerously bad ball joints, improperly spaced after market tires, trim falling off everywhere and from May to October it had to be towed 6x for no start no crank that several shops and a Nissan dealership cant figure out. Its to the point I cannot trust it to start if I turn it off at work. The transmission is slipping, the Def sensor doesnt work, broken blender door i have to manually change from heat to ac and so much more. When I received the truck the sun visors were both broken and the bed rails that were in the photos were missing. Two of 4 window actuators are starting to fail. Without fixing any interior problems that were not disclosed, I have spent over 7k on a 26k truck within 6 months, most of which had to be fixed within the first 3 months. This truck is a nightmare and hopefully the dealer will adhere to Arizona Lemon Law and either issue a refund or replacement as it has spent over 40 days in the shop for major defects, the biggest one not yet resolved. I work in highly remote areas in some of the least hospitable deserts in the US and its outright dangerous to have a vehicle this unreliable. read more

****WARNING*****This place is horrible and it should be avoided at all costs. They shipped a used car to me with a broken mirror, broken midgate, and no floor mats (none of this was communicated). I reached out over and over again and they just gave me the run around. This was ridiculous but the reason everybody should stay away is the fact that these guys are selling dangerous vehicles. Before I even got through a tank of gas I had to purchase 4 new tires because the tires they shipped my vehicle out blew out and were too worn out to repair. When making these types of transactions, I always have concerns about being scammed; I was especially concerned because my daughter would be handling this transaction without me. They sent me off the lot in a vehicle with no oil. It was a lemon. I am having to replace the engine. They did nothing to help and could care less to try and help me with anything. Usually the turn around time from this point is days, but Jayson was willing to come that same day to look at the vehicle he was interested in. I recently bought a car from VCG. I found a listing online and contacted them. The first sales person I spoke too didn't impress me, and actually wasn't there when I had arranged to go up - but the people that were there helped me. I found a decent car and they were willing to work with me so that I could complete the purchase in a single day. They also had no problem at all when I said I wanted to take the car to a mechanic - they basically gave me the car for the day and I went and had it checked out. So they didn't seem to have anything to hide in terms of the quality of the car. The mechanic said it was a solid car and I returned and finished working out the purchase. This was in July and I'm still happy with my vehicle. I would have liked it to go a little quicker, but overall, not a bad car buying experience. This will most likely be where I go again for additional cars. read more

Valley Car Group was a giant waste of my time and effort. I am currently selling my truck through Craigslist. The truck is priced at $6500, which is at the middle to high end of what this vehicle is currently selling for on Craigslist, as well as what the KBB value is. Almost immediately after posting my ad online, I was contacted by someone via text message from Valley Car Group, asking if I could bring my truck by for an appraisal. They were very amiable. I politely declined, as I understand these dealerships need to make money as well; there isn't a point in me selling a vehicle that's paid for at a loss, just so they can re-sell it. After multiple text messages over the course of two weeks, I decided to reply. I let the salesperson know that my price was relatively firm, and requested she let me know if they typically make offers below Blue Book Value. I was very adamant that I did not wish to waste either of our time, and that if they weren't prepared to make an offer that was close to my asking price on Craigslist, that I would prefer not to go through the hassle of coming to their location in person. She stated she understood, and let me know they are still very interested in the truck, and asked if I could come down that day (yesterday). I agreed. After the lengthy inspection process I was given a "very generous" offer of $1500 for my vehicle. Considering I had already turned down four offers for $5000 in the last week, I couldn't help but literally "Laugh Out Loud".
