Terrible service. I've been calling for 3 weeks trying to obtain my daughters prescription to purchase glasses for her. When I called to see if they'd help me get her another pair since she lost hers they were so rude and cold. Said her insurance won't cover another pair until 2024. Okay fine send me her script so I can just buy her glasses. Asked for my email and they never sent it. Called again said they would send it. Still not sent. I either get a stale "okay we will send it" or they don't answer nor do they call you back. Went to Carson vision, they were so helpful! They called my insurance and were able to get her another pair of glasses! Go to Carson vision!!!! So helpful. They went above and beyond. read more

They are literally the best optometry office. Both of the doctors are the sweetest and they really take the time to make you feel comfortable and supported throughout your appointment. The office is also really good on COVID precautions, such as wearing masks and sanitizing all items before and after use. I appreciate Dr Ilagan's thoroughness and professionalism. She made sure I was comfortable and taken cared of and explained everything I needed to know and expect regarding my condition. well i finally received my glasses received a text message after closing hours that they were ready for pickup. when i got there i was greeted with a friendly smile which always have been great. had my glasses adjusted for proper fitting. my eye glasses did not come with a eye glass case. however i was given a cloth to wipe them when needed to be. i said wheres the case i was told you can purchase a generic one for $10.00, i have been wearing prescription eye glasses for 10 years and i have been to different optometrist throughout the years never i mean never have i not been given a case for my eye glasses when picking them up. i was handed my glasses and said hey your set to go t.f well i tell you this i will never ever i never return here again this is definitely a lesson. remind you there glasses are very expensive my suggestion is to get your prescription and order online im pretty sure thats were they get theres from as well. a $12.00 frame but want yo charge customer $420.00 i will not but thanks read more

I was just at Westmont Optometry for an emergency; I had an irritated eye because I slept with a contact in. (I thought I had taken it out, but I missed it, and I woke up dehydrated, felt the eye throb with horrific pain when I saw the daylight. At first I thought I was a turning into a vampire, and was excited by the prospect, but when I tried to concentrate and turn into a bat, but the pain was still there and i remembered that Vampires have healing abilities, so I shouldn't be feeling this bad, or have a craving for bacon. #Science101) Once I composed myself, I tried a phone app, Teladoc to see a doctor that way, thinking he would just prescribe me meds for pink eye. The doctor took note of the sensitivity to light and said it could be a tear in my cornea, and that I needed to see an eye doc ASAP! So I called Westmont Optometry and they squeezed in a quick appointment to see me. I drove quickly, as the tears streamed down my face, ball cap tilted low and I made it in time. These ladies gently took a look, prescribed the right meds, and I felt relief immediately. I later learned that this type of ailment, if not treated in time, can lead to vision loss, so I am lucky to have this team, led by Dr. Noha Shehata, save my peeper. First, just a quick back story: Before this, I had gotten an eye exam at a place in Torrance maybe two or three years ago and the experience was terrible. I wasn't quite ready for new frames yet and wanted to shop around. And I told them that. But that place in Torrance left me very aggressive and pressuring voicemails every day for two weeks. After the first few, I stopped answering because, like Jesus Christ, chill. They also never really gave me much information about my stigmatism or helped me make informed choices. HOWEVER! Westmont Optometry gave me a much more pleasant experience. The techs at the front desk are incredibly friendly and helpful! Without even asking, they informed me about what my insurance plan had to offer and gave me a few tips and tricks. It felt really nice being informed about the choices I could make with them. The optometrist, Dr. Shehata, was incredibly helpful and very kind. She really walked me through the whole process during the eye exam and made me feel 'in the loop' so to speak. She described the differences in the stigmatism present in both of my eyes and what that means for my prescription. Dr. Shehata was also very very understanding when I said I wasn't sure what I wanted for frame yet. She also mentioned Eyezen to me, a blue light protecting technology for prescription frames that would really improve the eye strain I face as a student. Though she encouraged I get it, and seemed to really care about the well being of my eyes, she never made me feel forced or pressured to add it to my lenses, only concerned and wanted to help me protect my eyes. Because of how informative everyone who worked at Westmont Optometry was, as well as how kind and understanding they were, I definitely want to come back and will probably purchase my first pair of prescription sunglasses from them soon. read more

This clinic used to be efficient and easy to deal with however it's not anymore. My son had a prescription since February 2021 this year. It's November and it still hasn't been processed. Called last Friday to check but receptionist wasn't helpful at all. Been calling since Monday but no answer. Straight to voicemail. I left 2 voicemail messages this week and noone from clinic has reached out to update me on the status of the script. Will definitely look for a different provider. read more

I have been going to this optometrist for over 5 years without any issues. However I accidentally broke my glasses the other night, took them back to them and was told they're not under warranty, they can't help me and to find a jeweler or a welder to repair my glasses!!! That's the only suggestion you can give? What a lousy response. I cant see, how the hell am I going to find an jeweler or welder? Here's a bit of advice, get rid of the front office help, she sucks! I went here with high hopes looking for a better closer spot for eye glasses and bought my self and daughter a pair the pair of glasses i recieved turned green and made me look like i had a black eye after wearing them i called to see if they could help and were very uncoropitive with me. As for my daughter i ordered her glasses and waited and waited for weeks until they called saying the vedors building burnt down need to get a diffrent pair being frustrated with them we went with a diffrent lense and waited again i refused to go get my daughter's glasses until i recieved a collection notice if i dont pick them up id advise not to use this place its a rip off read more

Finding a good doctor can feel like consumer shopping for material goods or services these days; constantly comparing prices, and having to beware of unnecessary upsells. That was not the case at Westmont! It's a true pleasure to be under the attentive care of Dr. Shehata. She was very patient with my concerns, as I'm a contact lens-phobe, and took the time to educate me on my prescription. After handing me sample contacts to practice with, her and her staff helped me pick out a pair of glasses that were the right "look" for my face. Took my family to Dr Shehata and she was great. The assistants have no personalities. One looks scared and the other is miss know it all. The reason I left was because of the bossy girl that helps you choose your glasses. She was rude and bossy. I've Never seen her smile! Not coming back.
