Then they have great food, although they basically don't offer what you would consider service. I come here every time I visit Weston. Their beer is always cold and appeals to the masses. They have a variety of choices and their food has always been great. The food is fresh and tastes well seasoned. Food comes out quickly and the service is always friendly. The restaurant has a cool ambiance and is very cozy. This soft pretzel was sent straight from God. It was so good that I can't stop thinking about it. I might honestly drive 45 mins from the city just for this pretzel and cheese. The fried pickles are also stellar. This was the first time I ever tried scotch eggs, and I love them. The dipping sauce was so good. The taste of breakfast in a little package. The best part? You can get a sample tray to try all the beers on draft. 7 4-oz beer samples for only $9?? Such a reasonable price to try some local beers. I really enjoyed the O'Malleys Cream Ale (which is also what's used in the beer cheese) - a nice hint of sweetness. Recommend sitting outside to enjoy the view of the large ball of twine. We had a great experience/lunch! A fantastic meal. We sat outside and it was awesome. Right next to a giant ball of twine! (Seriously!) I had a turkey bistro sandwich and some of the best fries I've ever had ever. My Mom got the ham & cheese pye. It was delicious. My uncle got the O'Malley, which is like a Ruben. All three plates were pretty much licked clean. Really cool location and Irish music playing the entire time. Really cool atmosphere. Had fun feeding the birds some crumbs, too. This place is located near the Missouri/Kansas State Line, which the Missouri River is the border, in the Mayberry looking town of Weston, MO. There are a lot of historical buildings located not at the brewing company, but in the town itself. The Brewing Company has the Brewery, Bar (O'Malleys) and a Restaurant. All of them are excellent. All of us decided to eat here and try some Irish Food, we were not disappointed. The Food here is excellent as well as the service, which our server (Jessica) provided us excellent service. I had the Banger Bites, Onion Rings, Beef in O'Malleys Stout and finished off with homemade Apple Pie with homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. The others had the Bangers and Mash. Everything was excellent, no complaints. If you are in KCMO or at Ft. Leavenworth, KS or nearby, you have to go to Weston, MO to the Weston Brewing Company, you will not be disappointed. Aaaaaaaaaand for my 300th review.......A review that won't be seen much but I was so delighted by this town and place that I have to do it. I woke up and randomly decided to venture up to Weston for the day with my primary goal being the brewery. I didn't know anything about it prior to coming here. It honestly doesn't look like much from the outside. Nor the inside, for that matter. It looks like an old worn down abandoned factory with some sort of barn attached to it. If it weren't for the people and Weston Brewing signs everywhere I wold be kind of creeped out here. I walked in and alerted the girls working to my confusion and they helped me out pretty easily. I had no idea there was a pub side and bar side and brewery side. It's a really weird set up. So anyways, you can only get a few of the beers on the pub side and sit outside on the patio or under a large overhang by the giant ball of string (It's 4,000 pounds) and you can sit inside in a couple of old farmhouse looking rooms. I sat outside since it was pretty nice. I ordered the O'Malley sandwich with fries and a cream ale. The sandwich was pretty good and the fries were ok, nothing special at all. However, the real treat comes to the tour and the actual bar. So you go and see the brewery and the tuns and fermentation tanks, great, cool, just like any brewery. The owner actually gives this tour though and enlightens you to the history surrounding this city which was once the second biggest city in Missouri. But then....You walk into a super old building and descend down some stairs. Ok, an underground bar, pretty cool. Then.....you witness the opening of the secret cellar. Something you never expected that's super cool, dark, dingy, smelly, and full of spiders and all sorts of other dangers I'm sure. But wait, there's more! Another basement. A sub-Basement's basement if you will. It's from the 1800s and built of stone. You're 5 stories underground and it's full of lighted bar signs, tables, chairs, a stage with instruments, and a small bar. You do get a small (medicine cup size) sample of a few beers. Their beers aren't super great, maybe even sub-par when compared to the likes of the Kansas City breweries. The thing this place has going for it is the history and sheer weirdness and atmosphere of drinking in a 5 story underground 200 year old bar. I get why the city makes such a big deal out of it, it's definitely worth a short drive to visit. read more

****Food only review**** I have to say I was extremely excited about this place, we had over an hour wait and that usually has a pretty good telltale sign that things are going to be good, unfortunately this wasn't the case. I had the ribeye steak, my wife had their version of a Ruben, other friends at the table had the shepherds pie, the pub burger, and then I think the last was some sort of club sandwich. The best part of the whole meals was probably the french fries, everything else was pretty blah. On the upside everything was fairly reasonably priced, even the drinks weren't horrible. Definitely a neat place, and the pub next-door is a fun place to hang out. But skip the place if you want to get good food. read more

My family and I ate burgers here and were going to pop our heads in the historic bar/distillery area to see if there was a historic plaque or anything that we could read. A live band was playing and saw us walking in with a 2 year old and 4 month old. We were turning around to leave, and the awesome band leader stopped everything and sang itsy bitsy spider to our toddler. The entire bar seemed like they were having a great time and singing along and were laughing hysterically. I've never seen people cheers beers over Itsy Bitsy before! What a great vibe in this place... If we didn't have kids with us we would hang out here all day long! Cool, dark, and everyone from bikers to grandmas to babies passing through. A very old pub full of rich history. Weston has a few unique beers you won't find at most breweries, including a dry stout, ginger beer, and alcoholic root beer (my understanding is that this is not a mixed drink). The food is very small town pub food. I got the bangers and mash of course. The portions look way too small, but it was very filling. Definitely check out the bar down in the cellar afterwards. The lowest part is 50+ feet underground and about 150 years old, pretty awesome. read more

The beer was decent...the house flight is a great value and you get a good sampling of everything they have on draft. The burger my wife got was average...the cheese sauce came from a tub and it also took a long time. The prices were very reasonable. Man, oh man. Weston Brewing Co. defines hidden gem! I came to Weston for the day and stumbled upon the brewery. They still had openings for the 5 PM tour, so I decided that it was a must after seeing the bar 6 stories underneath the earth. It also promised a beer tasting at the end, so hey, I had nothing to lose. After doing some of the bigger brewery tours in the state, this one blows the rest of them out of the water. I don't want to give away all the details of the tour, but just know that you have to see this place to believe it. The brewery owner was the one guiding the tour and was able to answer all of our questions. He also let us try several of the beers at the end of the tour. Let's just say there wasn't a single beer that I didn't like. For those non-beer drinkers, we also got to try the ginger beer and cider. Not my cup of tea (read: beer), but a friend we made on the tour said it was his personal favorite. Oh, and if you start to think you might be in Ireland, you're not alone. read more

We did the brewery tour and dinner. The tour was interesting and gave samples of all their beers which was nice. We then went to dinner where it went down hill. We got the Scottish eggs as an appetizer which was nothing more than hard boiled eggs in bread crumbs. If there was sausage it was so minimal compared to the over cooked breadcrumbs that you could not taste it. The bangers and mash was a good portion and the sausage was tasty. Only downside was that it was covered in bbq sauce and mustard. If you order it, get the bbq on the side. My wife got the burger. It was a mass produced patty with a "cheese spread" scoop on it. Super salty to say the least. Overall service was great, beer was average, food was below average which is why I give this 2 stars. read more

One is the restaurant American Bowman (where some have eaten food and reviewed it here) and the other is O'Malley's Pub (where some review food from the restaurant, but its a pub). The beer/ale is good. I like the lighter versions. One of my favorites was Jesse James American Outlaw Beer. read more
