It really is unclear what is happening here. I used this fellow last year and it took 8 months to get my shoes back. He said he was sick so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. But he now has the shoes I dropped off in late August and that were supposed to be done by the September 24th....and the shop has not been open for the past several weeks as far as I can tell. Weston Shoe Repair is a diamond in the ruff. I have been going there for 20 years. The sole proprietor can do anything involving leather and shoe repair. Whether it's re-soling shoes, stitching my cowboy boots, re-dying my leather briefcase, fixing broken heels, or stretching boots and shoes to accommodate painful bunions. He is from the old country and perhaps that is where he learned how to make custom shoes and handbags. I don't know. But he can make anything. The store is never open and 6 weeks after I dropped shoes off they still weren't ready! I can't speak to the quality of work, because none was accomplished. When I requested I get my shoes back (because they are needed for an event!) I was told happy holidays and don't ever come back. Unprofessional. What a shame he's so unhappy. read more

I would never ever send my worst enemy for shoe repair! I waited for 3 months for shoes to be fixed and when i finally asked for them back (after multiple visits to a "closed today" sign) the owner yelled at me to never come back to his store! Not to worry.....RUDE!!! read more

Took two months for me to get my boots back! They still weren't even done! The man who works there could not have been more rude. The shop was constantly closed. I finally had the UPS guy. Call me when the cobbler was at his shop. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Shop is never open during the posted hours. The posted hours are inconvenient for anyone with a job. Owner is currently very unprofessional and unreliable. Said he would repair two expensive leather boots in early November 2022. When I stopped by late in December to inquire if they were ready, he looked at me like I was crazy. Silly me for wanting them back during winter when boots are normally worn. 9 months later, I'm out $400+ of expensive boots, and he is never around. Maybe he ran a good business at one time, but not anymore. If he was the least bit responsible, he would return the shoes he has not repaired. read more

Weston Shoe Repair is by far the best shoe repair shop I have ever been to! The owner is a genius with leather. He not only fixed my shoes and boots, but also my expensive handbags and a briefcase. He made the worn and slightly torn leather look like new! He also resoled and fixed my son's dress shoes and they also look like we just bought them. Fun fact is that the owner learned his craft from his family and also from Valentino in Italy. In his spare time, he designs shoes and matching clutches that are drop-dead gorgeous. I love supporting small, local businesses anyway, but Weston Shoe Repair gets my highest praise! How fortunate we are to live so close to this gem! Ps. While I was in line, an older lady brought in a pair of winter boots that needed a bit of glue to the sole, as she was tripping in them. He not only helped her on the spot, but didn't even charge her. That just shows his dedication to customer service and the community. read more

Have had a couple of repairs done here on nice pairs of shoes that needed a new heel or slight repair rather than buying a new pair. The prices are reasonable and the owner is professional and responsive. I had a great experience today which is why I'm writing this review - I went in with a squeaky heel. He took a look and said it might be an expensive fix. But rather than taking the shoe apart he just took some nails to reinforce it. It did the trick, took only 5 mins and he didn't even charge me. I dropped a pair of LaDuca Character shoes here very last minute (needed them for a show late night) and he rushed my order and had them done in 5 hours. On top of the great timing, the quality of his work is stellar. They look brand new- polished, somehow he fixed the shredded leather heel- they look amazing. I had never been before, but plan on taking my boots in for new soles. He's truly a craftsman, just like the olden days! Good find. read more

Small, discreet shop, but this owner is a miracle worker! This is one of those secret places that not everyone knows about, but once you go there you will continue to keep going back. I have a pair of suede designer boots that got scuffed and basically had a small hole in the toe area. I was depressed about it, but a friend suggested I go to Weston Shoe Repair. I was a bit skeptical that anyone could fix my boot. I couldn't believe it when I picked up my boot and it looked brand new! I am still impressed by this owner's work and speak his praises all the time. I noticed he had a ton of hand bags, sections of leather couches -- really any leather goods --- in addition to shoes. I had a boot that was coming apart at a seam on the foot. I have the boots in two colors and the same thing happened to both. I took the first pair to Natick, and they looked awful when I got them back. Thankfully they are black so it's hard to notice, but I would never go back there. I took the second pair to Weston Shoe Repair. I can't even tell they were repaired, they look perfect! He also suggested replacing the heels, which I didn't even notice were wearing through. He did an amazing job, and had the boots ready for me a week ahead of what he said. I highly recommend this place! read more

One thing I've learned from loving vintage clothing and shoes is that if one "expert" says it can't be repaired, keep trying. Maybe someone out there has the proper mojo, and once you find that person, never let them go. Let me tell you about my vintage alligator pumps. A friend of mine recently came into a collection of fabulous 50's shoes, and they didn't fit her, but guess who they did fit? That's right, me. So, my friend gave me some killer fab 50's shoes that fit me perfectly. Prominent among them was a pair of fierce alligator pumps, one with a serious issue. The alligator skin was very dry, and in one spot, it had separated from the leather sole. Otherwise, these shoes were pristine. I brought them to a lesser "shoe guy" in Newton who had good Yelp reviews but he would not have a go at them. He told me they were beyond repair. But luckily I was speaking with the enchantress Tamara at Golden Needle in Wellesley and she told me to go see this dude in Weston. Now, not to get off track but Tamara is super pricey. She does great work but wow, she costs a dollar or two. So I figured that her pal over in Weston would be expensive too. C'est la guerre as they say, the shoes were free and if he could fix them, I did not quite care what it cost. I went in, and the magician pal of Tamara (didn't catch his name) said Yes, he could in fact repair the alligator wonders. In a week I went back and it was really as if magic had occurred. They looked brand new and flawless. He'd also done the heels and given them a bit of a polish although they hardly needed it, as shiny as they were. Now, they are perfect, amazing, dare I say KILLER. Oh, and the best part: $25. I nearly died of joy. Go see the guy at Weston Shoe Repair. Can't wait to prance through the holidays in my alligator pumps. read more
