I am a physician (a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, no less) with a severe scoliosis. Corrective surgery left me with one leg an inch shorter than the other, so I needed to put back the 3/4" heel and sole shoe lift I wore as a teenager. I have been going to the Brandolini Shoe Clinic for over 25 years and I cannot say enough good things about their work. Tony is friendly, careful and really knows his stuff. He is truly an artist and can put a lift on (almost) any kind of shoe there is. If he doesn't think it's safe for me (stiletto heels, for example) he lets me know. I have never regretted listening to him and have been sending my patients who need orthopedic work. As it happens, I need some new shoes, so maybe I will see you there. Shoe repair seems a dying art, but this guy does great work. The current owner/cobbler is from Ukraine, Odessa to be exact, and he made three pairs of men's dress shoes look like new. New soles and heels were put on with care, and the shine is deep and abiding. He's a chatty, nice chap, and I was impressed with how he treated the other customers, too. read more

Thank goodness people like this still exist. He cleaned one of my bags, made it like new, and repaired another so it was better than new. Seriously. Workmanship was flawless, and it was a thorny fix. This man saved my 2 favorite pairs of boots for under $30!!! I admit it, I abuse my shoes. When I love them -- I wear them. Alot. These pairs had broken heels ( I jumped off a stair at the NIN concern and landed less than gracefully) and one boot heel lost it's bottom completely. This Wonderful Man( forgot to ask his name!!) replaced both heels on both boots, cleaned the suede pair, shined the leather pair and fixed an abused belt that looked like a rat had gnawed through it ( this one wasn't mine and only cost $20!). So pardon me but I need to go through my closet ( land of abused shoes) and find some more to fix! read more

I was dumb enough to send cash in the mail to Brandlini shoe repair to have my boots resoled, needless to say they were never repaired and was never given any refund out of the $70! if there was a charge for looking at them That would have been fine but 0 refund that's not cool. This man is a miracle worker. I will never again take my old shoes/purses to anyone else. This is about the fifth time I have taken old, worn out shoes to him and have been meaning to write a review for ages. On Saturday, I dropped off a pair of water/salt damaged black suede heels that I've thought about trashing many, many times. Since they used to be my absolute favorite, however, I decided to give them a second chance and headed over to Brandolini's. I picked up my shoes on Monday (ONE business day later, mind you) and they looked as if they came straight out of the box-- I was in shock!! He also does nice work on boots. He has fixed up my favorite Frye and Durango boots (heel/sole replacement, cleaning, etc.) and they look beautiful! My advice: dig out your old favorites from the closet and bring them over to Brandolini's. The shop owner is the sweetest man on the planet, the prices are reasonable, and his work is impeccable. read more

I am queen of breaking my boots. It's like by the second time I wear a pair of shoes the heels run away, my toes decide it's the freedom trail, and the interior decides to become a slip and slide. So when I came home from college and started wearing My well loved, yet slightly embarrassing kicks around my mother, she pointed me in the direction of the sassiest, efficient shoe Maker in Framingham. This guy works wonders. He turns 10 year old worn boots into new beauties, ripped purses into "damn, look at that bag", and tearing leather ( or pleather, he doesn't judge) into something new. Plus, it's all for 10-20$. Not bad. I'll take a little sass if in the end it equals bringing my shoe collection back from the dead. If your unfamiliar with the downtown Framingham area, this place is on the same side of the round about as Anastasia's and usually has street parking in front of it or pretty close. Avoid this incompetent butcher! After reading the positive reviews for this place, I thought I would find a hidden gem of old world craftsmanship, but I couldn't have possibly been more wrong! I brought my winter boots here for midsole repair. They were in great shape, but the midsole had begun to separate from the sole on one of the boots. When I arrived at the shop, I was the only customer in the place. I was asking the owner about my repair and he interrupted me in mid sentence to say he had to make a phone call and complain to his cable TV provider. He was in the middle of my transaction and chose to conduct trivial personal business instead of serving his customer. He told me that the midsole had to be replaced instead of repaired and that he had to replace it on both boots so they would match. I dropped the boots off at the very beginning of winter and was told they would be ready in one week. I called to check on them every week, and was told each time that they would be ready "next week". After two months passed and winter was nearly over, I finally had to put my foot down and insist that he return them. He charged me top dollar for the repair, it was almost the replacement cost of the boots. I inspected them when I got home and couldn't believe my eyes. He had done an absolutely horrible job! I explicitly told him not to modify the boots and to be careful not to damage them, but he did both. The replacement midsole he installed was too small for the sole, so instead of ordering the proper size, he actually ground the sole down to the smaller size. He damaged the sole significantly in the process and reduced the footprint of the boot substantially. This makes them much more wobbly and less stable. In addition to damaging the boots, the workmanship of the repair is just horrible. I could have done a better job myself with a tube of Shoe Goo adhesive. The boots are irreplaceable and priceless to me because they are no longer made and were a gift from a departed relative. I could not possibly be more disappointed with the terrible service I received and am seriously considering filing a small claim lawsuit against this horrible establishment. As far as I am concerned, he ruined my treasured boots. I suggest avoiding this incompetent butcher at all costs! read more

i know of brandolini shoe repair next to Panza shoes down town framingham, i thought that he retired , and urban redevelopment ,the big building on the corner that partly displaced the shoe repair,? i heard might be having problems with workmanship and bank $, and yes another guy did shoe and leather repair near down town natick,? ,i brought something there for n+1cycle bicycle shop Cisco could have used the same method to repair himself ,he was not as happy with 23 pond street shop ,but , i do not think it was brandolini then , who did the work at the time ,its possible brandolini bought out the natick shop after , i thought he lost the union ave in framingham next to Panza shoe store ,i think somebody else had the natick store, not connected to brandolini in framingham , i graduated in framingham south high with brandolini family shop,? the framingham shop and i just turned 70 ? read more

I bought a beautiful leather handbag on eBay; it's black and totally timeless. Retail price? $300. I snagged it for $70 because it was missing a brass D ring on one side, where the long, shoulder type strap would snap in. It's a bowler style satchel, and I knew I'd need to get that fixed, so when the bag arrived, I threw it in my car where it sat for two months until I could find a shoe guy. Finally I found Brandolini on Yelp, and managed to make my way over there on my lunch break. For $10 (cash only) the guy at Brandolini made a new D ring for my bag and got everything reattached for me!!! I love it. He also mentioned that he does boots, which is a GREAT thing to know!! If you've ever bought a pair of boots online only to find that the calves are ridiculously huge on you, he can take them in for you. Tailor fitting a pair of boots isn't something I'd think to do, but if you've purchased a great, high end pair of boots, it's a worthwhile thing to do to make them the PERFECT pair of boots! read more

It's hard to decide what to talk about first -- how personable this guy is, what a fantastic job he does repairing my shoes, or how inexpensive it was to have the work done. Gosh I could also talk about how quick the turn around time is. I'll just say all of the above, in no particular order. Before taking my boot in to get the zipper replaced (heavy metal zipper on a tall Frye boot), I did an on-line search to get a rough idea of how much I'd be paying (weighing whether or not to fix the boot or buy new), finally decided to fix them. Took them down to Tony and he charged me 1/4 of what others had paid for the same work. Whaaaaaaat????? Something is actually cheaper In Massachusetts? Hard as it is to believe, it's true. (I really hope he doesn't read these reviews, because I really don't want him to raise his prices, since I have another boot that needs a new zipper, too....) He has a "take pride in Framingham" bumper sticker on his front desk, and his work is a really good reason to take pride in the 'ham. read more

There are not enough great things to say about this place. I never knew how important finding a trustworthy cobbler was until I wore down the heels on my favorite Frye boots. I was convinced I would end up replacing the boots and took them to Tony as a last ditch effort to save them. When I asked him if he could fix the unevenly worn heels, he said "well, that's what I do". And it is. He also, after examining my boots for a matter of seconds, was able to see I had worn a hole in the leather soles. I left my boots there and waited a week before going to pick them up. When I walked in, he knew exactly which boots were mine and when he showed them to me, I nearly cried tears of joy! My old, beat up boots had been rejuvenated with new heels and soles! And not only that, but Tony went above and beyond in removing salt stains and scuffs and making my boots look brand new! The quality of work is absolutely amazing. I am blown away at the effort that was put into repairing my boots. I will be back in the very near future. Tony is an asset to Framingham. read more

His location is easy to find, and there is always parking available in the front. I work in retail and had busted the heels out of my favorite kitten-heel, pointed-toe dress shoes, and he made them look amazing! VERY reasonable prices, too. I bought in 3 pair of shoes that I was going to throw away because they were in such terrible shape. My wife said to take them in and see what can be done if anything. I took them in on a Monday and when I picked them up on a Friday. When I saw them I thought the guy was giving me brand new shoes! They looked amazing! I also had him refurbish some leather belts and again they came back looking brand new! This guy is a real old world craftsman! If you need shoe repair or leather repair this is your guy! He noticed the bottom of the boots had zero traction left so he replaced the bottom of the boots as well. Super friendly and really good at what he does. Brought my new Frye boots here and they did great work! When I got my Frye's in the mail the leather was so thick and they were so tight around the calf there was no way I was squeezing my foot in these without cutting off my circulation. After trying to break them in and strech them out at home to no avail I went to Brandolini. After a few days they were ready to pick up and they fit so much better now! There are few places like this left and I am so glad I was able to use their services. Any future trouble shoes will certainly be heading to Brandolini! read more

I've brought two items to be revived. One was my pair of heavy duty London Fog boots, which had a broken zipper, and the other was my husband's SAS dress shoes. The zipper is perfect so I don't have to toss my favorite boots after all - yay! The SAS shoes, which were so bad I was going to throw them out, look like new! If you have expensive shoes made of good leather, this is a store you really have to get to know. The owner also repairs leather purses, jackets, etc. He's very skilled and will do his best or be upfront about telling you your item is history. Someone really should apprentice here to learn a wonderful, needed trade. The owner and his brother (in the Natick store) are the "last of their kind" from the "old country". It would be a shame to lose such talent here. read more

I brought in 2 really challenging pairs of men's shoes: - 8-year-old black leather shoes (Lloyd, Germany) that I wear for work - slightly newer pair of WHITE Ferragamos (leather and suede) that aren't really white anymore The cobbler said he would do a full restoration on the first pair (new sole, fixing a few scratches/rough-ups, thorough cleaning, etc) and said he'd do his best with the second. Both came back looking nearly perfect - as if they'd both been used for a couple of months perhaps. Really fantastic work, and very much worth the money! Cash only. So, Tony is easily one of the nicest guys I have met in a long, long time. When I say incredibly helpful and personable, I mean it. I had a pair of Sorel boots that I didn't think were repairable. Needless to say where there is a will, there's away. He easily fixed my boots to perfection and also found time to sell me 2 belts I had been looking to find for many years. Tony personally made me 2 belts ( I am a really large male, I have found it very hard to find belts in my size.) that are made from gun belt quality leather. I bought several buckles on Amazon that work perfectly with his belts. Also, instead of snaps, he inserted Chicago screws. Easily removed and perfectly locked in,I have never been so incredibly happy with a belt until I purchased one from Tony. Easily, best belt I've ever owned. read more

Whenever I go here I am always immeditley taken care of on the spot. When I offer to leave the product for a couple days they refuse and fix my products right then and there. This man said he would make my sneakers look brand new, However when I look at them they are just about exactly the same except for a minor paint job on some red leather. I am very disappointed because he also painted red on the clear see through rubber on the sides of the sneaker. I can't believe how poor the quality of his work, its definitely not worth the money or ever going back again. The only reason i didn't say anything was because I wasn't actually there my mother picked them up for me, she also had a hard time with her purse which he didn't repair correctly as well. read more

Some time ago I took an antique hard leather briefcase that needed stitching here, after two shoe repair places in Cambridge where I work either couldn't do it (the stitching machine was broken) or were going to charge a ridiculous amount of money to do the stitching by hand. Anatoly (the owner/cobbler) fixed it expertly (by hand) and for a very reasonable price. Last week I took two pairs of women's leather boots that needed the heels fixed. Not only did he do an excellent repair job, but he also touched up the many scuff marks, again for a very reasonable price. I couldn't possibly recommend Brandolini's any more strongly. If you have a pair of good shoes worth keeping that need repair there's no better place to take them. read more
