Repaired my air conditioner in my truck, after running it for about 30 minutes and traveling about 15 to 20 miles it stopped working had to go back. They repaired it completely fixed one's good. Issue as I did some damage to one of my water pumps for my auxiliary radiator to keep my truck cool they left it on apparently overnight and burned the pump up. They did not cover this. read more

I have an International semi-truck that I've brought in for service over the years. I would never describe the shop as a great value, but typically the work was pretty decent. Recently, I brought my truck in for some transmission work. They gave me an estimate of around $12,500 and said it would be done in a week. That's a lot of money for me, but I needed the truck fixed, so I gave them the go-ahead. I called the day they said it would be done and told them I would pick it up on Monday. They said there was another minor wiring issue that would take less than an hour, and it would probably be less than they had originally quoted. I was happy about that and reiterated that I would pick up the truck on Monday. I got busy, and Tuesday rolled around, so I called just to make sure it was done. They said, "Not yet." I said, "Okay, no big deal, but I need the truck Friday to take a load." They said, "No problem." Thursday rolled around, and I went to pick up the truck. I settled the bill, which was over $2,500 more than I had approved. Then, they pulled the truck around, and it looked like it had been reassembled by a kindergartener. Most of the screws that were factory-installed when I dropped it off had been replaced by self-tapping screws, many of which weren't even screwed in all the way. There were huge gaps in the dash panels, and the trim for the carpet... I can't even begin to explain what they did. The kicker is the passenger-side window was down and wouldn't roll up. I got the service writer, and they told me, "Oh yeah, it was like that when it came in. I forgot to tell you it needs a regulator, which is a $2,000 part, plus labor." I was livid. I can't even believe they would try to give my truck back in that condition after spending that amount of money and taking twice as long as promised. The service manager promised to make it right. We will see what happens, but my concern is that if this is what I can see, what does the work I can't see look like? read more

Lucas Berry was a pleasure to deal with when trying to source a 26k 2 axle truck that would be upfitted to have a stakebed. He went above and beyond during the sale process and was quick to get me a quote and for an International MV and it came in under the price of the comparable Freightliner. On top of things I felt the International had a more updated cab exterior and interior with electronic console. Lucas met me at the nearest Westrux and arranged for me to test drive a comparable model, was having a hard time deciding between what engine to pick and what the different seat configurations looked like. He also had a comparable build that I was able to look at to get a better idea of how I wanted to upfit. After ordering the truck I was provided 3 truck upfitters he's used before and he actually even went direct to them to get some bids for the bed. We weren't going through Westrux so there wasn't a markup on them, he was just trying to help with the purchase. The prices he got on stake bodies were cheaper or comparable to people I've already reached out to. Trying to select who I wanted to work with I was able to call the upfitters directly or Lucas would jump in to have any questions answered regarding axle to cab distances or whatnot. Very helpful. After I made my choice during the build process Lucas was involved as the truck had a long lead time and the upfitter started the build before the truck was in so dimensions had to be confirmed. When the truck came in he arranged to have it dropped off at American Truck Body without needing my involvment and made it convenient for me to sign any paperwork needed as well. Even after having the upfitter complete the build, he brought the truck back to his shop to do a once over and had it detailed prior to final delivery. An absolute pleasure to work with. My wife and I invested everything into a 2019 International LT from Sioux Falls Truck and Trailer in Sioux Falls SD, the dealership ensured me the truck is in good shape, so I told my bank to wire the fund, after my wife and I took the flight to South Dakota from Atlanta, the first thing I noticed when I inspecting the truck was the amber engine light on the dashboard... error code SNP641 FMI7 (VGT actuator driver circuit mechanically not responding properly or out of adjustment). So they took my truck across the street to Sioux Falls International dealership's shop. After an hour later, sales guy Trevor from Sioux Falls Truck and Trailers told me the code was just set off by the extreme cold weather, all they had to do was to reset the code and the truck shouldn't have any more problem. It was end of December and the temperature was -1 degree, so I didn't doubt much with that statement. After Sioux Falls Truck and Trailers' shop tech unwilling grease my truck's 5th wheel, we part them and bobtailed back to Atlanta. Not long after getting on the road, I noticed the 8ish mpg with my truck, immediately knew there is something wrong with my truck. But overall the truck still feel pretty solid even with the low mpg. Nothing we can do at that time, since we need to start hauling to ease up the financial burden. Took a 26000 lbs load from Covington GA to Victorville CA, the mpg for the trip was 6.6. At first we Called Westrux Fontana, and they told us some bad and good news, bad new was there were actually 2 more active codes regarding after treatment system besides error code SNP641 FMI7, good news was our truck's extended factory warranty will cover everything, all we have to do is take it to the Colton branch, since they have all the parts here. Daniel at service front desk and the mechanic Rene Jr at Westrux International Colton, went above and beyond to prove there is silver lining during the most helpless situation. The shop spared the awesome mechanic Rene Jr to repair all the problems our truck had, including replacing a new turbo and VGT actuator, not just that, they also found there is coolant leaking problem and fixed it! I recommend all owner operators to get trucks with extended warranty, and for International trucks, Westrux Colton is the place to put your truck back in good shape! My Freightliner (CAT engine) RV lost almost all power and started pouring black smoke as I came down into San Bernadino. I saw their sign, and pulled in looking for some help. The douchebag at the service counter didn't even want to acknowledge me, then told me it would be five days before he could even look at my rig. He then said he doesn't do warranty work "anyway". I told him it's a 2002, no warranty issue! He told me not to blow up on him. Luckily Todd was there, and gave me a phone number for another service company down the street. They will be helping me first thing in the morning. Don't bother with these people; they don't care about you or your rig. read more

Our 2013 Tiffin-brand diesel motorhome started smoking and had been getting worse over a several months period. Two weeks ago, we called Tiffin and explained the issues. They told us it sounded like a crack in the DPF canister and that we would need to bring it in for repairs. The engine is a Navistar (Interntaional) and Tiffin put us in touch with their sales rep for International (Chris). We were interacting with Chris within minutes of the call with Tiffin and Chris referred us to Westrux International in Colton. We called ahead and made plans to bring the RV in on a Saturday and drop it off. When we arrived at Westrux, we were greeted by two friendly people behind the service counter. We explained the issue and they said they would take a look. Oh, and they were expecting us because Chris had called ahead which really impressed us. The service advisors helped us back into the secured parking area. We've never seen a security fence like the one at Westrux. We felt very comfortable leaving our second home with these folks. Westrux only had our motorhome for a week and a half before the DPF was replaced. Most repair shops (Mike Thompson RV, Camping World, etc.) have a several week appointment lead time for RV's. We had our RV back in the time it would take to typically get into a garage. We opened the door to the coach to drive it home and found Westrux had paper lined the entire entry/floor between the door and driver's seat. Then they covered the leather driver's seat with a clean heavy-weight cloth to prevent it from getting dirty. It was worth the 60 mile drive to Colton for the level of service. It was nice to drive home and not see any black smoke coming from our tailpipe. We will definitely share this location with other friends who have RV's. read more

Truck was down for a week and the mechanics couldn't find the issue with smoke coming into my cab with the heater on at night truck. Didn't fix the truck and doesn't answer calls my fleet manager can't even get ahold of them. Don't take truck here. read more

Monitum-Warning in Latin The Colton Service Department has had our 2014 International Stake Bed for 5 (FIVE) weeks doing warranty work on the heads. This has cost us over $3600.00 in truck rental alone. I call daily and weekly to get updates, same run around. The GM does not return calls, the Service Manager does not return calls, and they have it being fixed on the night shift going very slowly as they claim that they have to get an OK from International for all warranty work, Not a good Sign on Internationals part. It's warranty work on the head, and cylinders, in all my 66 years I have never heard of it taking a month plus to do this kind of work and they actually do not have the parts, they had to order them. As a business man I found out too late that this is not the place to take your truck for service, believe me when I tell you I am being kind to them. It's the worst, service that I have ever encountered, ever. Be for warned if you take your truck here for service it will cost you not only in repairs but time, rental and headaches. read more
