I gave them a call the day before I took the car in and got an estimate for how much a new alternator with the costs of labor would be. I was surprised how affordable the quote was. When I walked in the next day, I was greeted by Arnie, he was very nice and very approachable which is pretty rare nowadays with mechanics. I left my car there for a while and later received a call saying that the alternator was still good and that Autozone seems to lie frequently to get you to buy more parts. I paid $266 for a starter to be rebuilt. It still had the same cracked crusty rubber grommet it worked for 2 days. Took it back they said the key was left on and it was burnt up. They repaired it again. Same thing. Lasted 2 days. I went and bought a brand new starter for cheaper than they charged to rebuild. Went back to discuss a refund. I purchased a mini starter that for some reason didn't fit in my 49 Chevy. The owner replaced it with a mini starter that looked like the larger OEM and it worked great. Now my car starts up every time with no heat soak issues. It had a little hiccup when a bolt came loose. Thinking I had to return it, the owner said to bring it back. Affordable, great customer service, HONEST! I cannot help but emphasize the honesty from Arnie & Mario! My car was thoroughly checked and turned out Autozone was dishonest about my battery failure. Any other company/mechanic would've just changed my alternator with no hesitation without adequately diagnosing the issue. Not here! This is an amazing place to come to if you want low quality parts and work done. I bought an alternator in April 2021, called to confirm they have it before hand. 6 months later the rebuilt alternator they gave me went out. They replaced it. It's now been another 6 months the 2nd alternator they gave me went out. After doing research it turns out that they gave me the wrong alternator. I immediately felt the difference in how my car ran after putting in the correct one. When I took the wrong alternator in for a refund they didnt want to refund me my core charge. Instead, he wanted to give me a core to return. Which no, I was not going to do that especially because I don't live near ARMEX #3 in Moreno Valley, where I bought the correct alternator from. Long story short, inland alternator didn't want to refund me the core charge, made it sound like I was trying to get over on him, and told me to leave without my refund. We got into a huge argument and he called the cops because I refund to leave. Then, he suddenly decided to refund me the core charge, all while calling me evil and saying that I have mental issues. Whatever he was doing caused my card to decline each time he tried refunding me. He then had the nerve to offer me a check that I could cash at Wells Fargo. Obviously, I refused to do that. Cops showed up, he told them that there was no longer an issue. He also asked someone to go get cash from their vault to give me after stating multiple times that they do not have cash on hand to give me. I immediately grabbed my receipt and left. I had no interest in hearing whatever else he had to say. As I'm leaving, here he comes yelling and chasing me outside. He even had the nerve to flag the cops down by yelling, jumping, and waiving his arms. I got out of my car thinking the cops turned around, but nope! They took off. Of course I am more pissed at this point! Dude had the nerve to tell me that he need the receipt!! He all of that for a receipt. Mind you, he took no liability for giving me the wrong alternator, on top of making me go through all this. I cussed him out and left. Definitely keep your receipts from here and have them give you a receipt for all exchanges so they can't take advantage of you. Go to ARMEX #3 for your parts. ARMEX not only gave me the correct alternator, but identified why the one for inland alternator is not for my car. This place is a joke. My dad also had his AC "fixed" here. It went out a few months later too and he had to pay someone else to fix it. read more

My AC stopped working in my Jetta, after some research I realized that my compressor control valve had gone bad. The dealership wont replace the control valve, they'll only replace the whole compressor which is 1,500-2k. So I called Inland Alternator, and Arnie told me his guy Mario could take care of me. A couple of hours later I left their shop with working AC. I have to add too, I had to go to them twice, they first time I brought them a defective part, they tried their best to make it work but no dice. Second time around was a success. I just have to say, these people are honest and very helpful. I'll definitely be returning to them in the future when I need help with my Alternator/Starter or AC needs. I took in my 2002 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Duramax for the air conditioner to be repaired. This had it done within a couple hours and charged me less than $200. They very well could have told me it was much more and I probably would have paid it in this heat LOL. BEWARE they dont honor there warranty on there shotty rebuilds with used parts. 6 months ago they rebuilt my starter , it failed i took it in and they hit me for 95 dollars to fix there rebuilt of 6 months ago . I would have been better to buy a new one instead of there shotty rebuild with used parts. I would not recommend them to anyone. They may be nice at the counter but once they go in the back you get used parts in the rebuild , a shop with crap everywhere .
