My husband and I recently purchased a Chevy Colorado from Westshore Mazda. When we test-drove the vehicle, several sensor warning lights came on on the dashboard. We specifically asked about the lights before purchasing the vehicle and were assured that the issues would be fixed and that it would not be a problem. We made an appointment and brought the vehicle back to have the sensors repaired. Once we arrived, we were told that several sensors were going bad and that the parts would need to be ordered. We were told they would contact us once the parts came in. We waited a week and heard absolutely nothing. We finally called and sat on hold for approximately 40 minutes trying to get an answer. When we eventually reached someone, we were informed that they had decided they did not want to pay to have the repairs done. This is extremely disappointing. I originally left Westshore Mazda a very good review because our buying experience was not bad. However, after what has happened since the purchase, I feel people should know how we have been treated. I could understand if these problems had developed several weeks after we purchased the vehicle. In that situation, I would understand that the responsibility might fall on us. But that is not what happened. The warning lights came on during our test drive, before we purchased the vehicle, and we specifically brought them to the dealership's attention. We only moved forward with the purchase because we were assured that the problems would be taken care of. What makes this even more frustrating is hearing employees joking about how "deep" the sales manager's pockets are and referring to him as "Mr. Deep Pockets." Apparently, those pockets aren't deep enough to honor a promise made to a customer and repair an issue that was present before the vehicle was even sold. We also paid more than $2,000 in dealership fees associated with inspecting and preparing the vehicle, yet we drove away with warning lights and sensor problems that the dealership knew about. Our initial buying experience was fine, and I would have gladly continued recommending Westshore Mazda if they had simply honored what they told us. Unfortunately, after this experience, I would not purchase another vehicle from them or recommend them to others. A dealership's reputation isn't just about how customers are treated while they're making a purchase--it's also about how they're treated after the paperwork is signed. We trusted their word when they told us these issues would be fixed. Now they are backing away from that promise because they simply don't want to pay for the repairs. I bought a used Mustang before Halloween and sold my truck. I did it because I wanted a faster car and needed the money. They kept giving the excuse that they don't have an accounting department on site and couldn't cut checks. They said that I would be given a check the following week. Two weeks pass and I go back to check and then they gave an excuse that the accounting cycle was during that time so they had to wait. I gave them two more weeks. I had this exact experience when I bought my car. They don't give you nothing in writing!! Only a pad and sign away without real clarity. It almost feels like a ponzi scam. I took my car in for a new battery and an oil change, around 10/29/25. Long and behold the oil change was never done bc my oil msg came on less than 2 months after I asked for oil changed. I took it to another dealer to verify if the oil was done or maybe it was not reset from the last time. He said NOPE! Not done I saw how low it was. But I was charged!!!I felt scammed and defrauded!! I had a few warning lights come on after my Mazda 3's serpentine belt came apart on a road trip. A mobile mechanic fixed it but said I should also have the water pump belt replaced as soon as possible. I brought it into Westshore Mazda who diagnosed the warning lights with replacing new adaptive headlight system, about $5k. I told them please just replace the water pump belt. When I picked up the car, I noted immediately the AC was no longer working. By the time I got home, seven new warning lights had come on and my battery was nearly dead. I notified Westshore who told me to bring the car in right away. I went to a nearby local garage instead. The neighborhood garage determined the serpentine belt had never been replaced after the water pump belt had been replaced. They also replaced the battery and all of my warning lights turned off and the car has been normal ever since, including my adaptive headlights. To summarize: not only did Westshore Mazda misdiagnose the issue and try to fix a $5k non-problem, they made the car worse by not completing a belt replacement procedure. Their mistakes not only cost me money, but created an hazardous situation. But that's not the reason I've been going to another Mazda dealership. I emailed Westshore Mazda with my concerns and they ignored me. I emailed again a few weeks later. They ignored me again. Everybody makes mistakes. It's how you fix them, or ignore them, that matters. (I've owned a total of 7 Mazdas, currently own 2, and will be on the market again in the future. Just not with Westshore.) read more

On 10/31/2025, Westshore Mazda confirmed 0% APR for 72 months and sent a written proposal for a 2026 Mazda CX-90 (VIN JM3KKDHC0T1352509) totaling about $55,597 out-the-door. They followed up with a credit application the same morning. Based on those terms, my family drove from Orlando to Tampa (~4 hours round trip) on 11/2/2025. At the dealership, I was told the 0% APR and quoted price were not available combined. That's a classic bait-and-switch. What I'm asking: Honor the written price with 0%/72 and deliver the vehicle to me at no extra cost. I have the email confirmations and proposal PDF. Bought a 2020 Mazda 5. Sold the car and needed to cancel the service contract and be refunded to balance of the contracts. Called Westshore Mazda and could not get a finance manager. Called again still cannot get to a finance manager. Set request to the portal to the GM. Then someone called me said I didn't have some of the contracts and my contract from 2020 so I had to send them a copy. This person said when I got the refunds I would be reimbursed in full if I never used the services. I got refunds on a couple of the contracts and the refunded amount was way less than I expected. I sent an email to the person helping me no response. Sent a follow up no response. Yet every time I go on the Mazda site I get an email saying Westshore can help me with a new car. Emailed that person back that I wanted a finance person. She said she would have one contact me. Did a chat on the website and was told someone would call me. Drew did call me but I missed the call and the voice mail that was left said to call or text him. And by the way Drew said he is one of the finest at Westshore. I texted him back. No response. I called him and left a voicemail and no response. I just want someone to contact me and explain how the refunds were calculated and to check on the one other contract. Also I called the Mazda Financial with the number on the checks. They said they couldn't help I needed to contact the warrant companies. There is no phone number some of the contracts so no way for me to call. The ones with a number don't answer. This is unacceptable customer service. My next steps are to open a BBB case and to go the corporate Mazda. read more

Brought my Mazda in for a synthetic oil change, tire rotation, and multi-point inspection. Unbeknownst to me they'd be texting me a link to the video inspection... First experience watching mechanics go through my vehicle - pretty cool! They quoted 90 minutes and definitely beat their time. Once they finished I was texted a list of "recommended" and "urgent" maintenance suggestions. The site allowed me to choose each item I wanted worked on or not. I declined all because 1) some of the items are DIY with parts I can grab for way less, and 2) some were hundreds of dollars more than local auto shops would quote me. When I went to back today to have it canceled I was verbally attacked by the sales manager and threatened with legal action and tampa PD. I am a disabled veteran, this isn't fair. Worst new car purchasing experience ever! I've bought about 20 new cars in my lifetime and non come close to this nightmare. I had purchased a 2020 CX-5 from the same dealership 5 1/2 years ago and it was a decent experience so I didn't have any reason to think this would be any different, but was it ever! I gave the second salesperson my list of must haves - 2025 CX-5 mid level trim. 60 mo loan, between $340-390 a mo. Nothing down except my 2020 trade-in. Nothing out of pocket. I wound up buying a "used" 2025 that only had about 280 miles on it that they had taken in as a trade by a lady who wound up buying a higher end trim package. When I accepted their offer the salesperson said my monthly payments and length of loan would be in the range I gave him. When I went to the finance guy, who I believe is named Bobby things came off the rails. He said 84 months to get me in that range. I said that 84 months was never on the table and got up to walk away. He called in someone who I guess was a sales manager or the general sales manager who accused me of "being confused". Bobby then proposed that I give them $1,000 and he could make it work. I grudgingly agreed because by then everything in my CX-5 had been moved into the new one. Then, they REQUIRED that I do a Google review before they would proceed, which I did. I gave them a positive review (since taken down) because I knew a negative one would not fly. Then the finance guy gave me an electronic pen and started going over the 20+ documents, flying through them, not explaining any of them. This was done on a desktop display that was very difficult to read. At the end, they don't hand you any documents. They give you a thumb drive to take home.Only when I got home and opened up the Buyer's Order and the Retail Installment Sales Contract did I see several outrageous charges. To compare them to my purchase of the 2020 CX-5, which came to which came to $84.35 for license fee/lien fees, the new 2025 fees were obscene. $598 for Electronic Registration Filing Fee, $189 for a Private Tag Agency Fee, whatever that is, and finally $!23.85 for a License Fee, totalling about $910 or $825 more. A friend just bought a new Hyundai Tucson from Fitzgerald Hyundai and they charged him $219.35 - $135 for the ERFF and $84.35 for the Tag, Title and Fees. That's what a legitimate dealer charges. Bottom line is everyone I encountered at Westshore didn't act ethically to say the least. It then got worse because when I started calling to speak with someone about the outrageous charges no one would take my calls - not even my first one. I bought the care on June 13. I called on the 17th, explained my concerns & they said they'd have Manny, the General Sales Manager call me back to discuss - no call. I then called on the 18th & spoke with Harmony, who is supposed to be one of their Sales Managers. She listened & said someone would call back - nope! On the 19th I called asking to speak with Karim Adib, the General Manager, spoke with Steven, who said he wasn't available but he'd put a not on Adib's desk asking him to call. No call. I called several other times and got put on hold and then forgotten. I finally left a voicemail for Adib (if they really gave me his mailbox) & said if he didn't call back I was going to notify the BBB and also write honest reviews about what had transpired - no call. To make it right, in my opinion, would be for them to send me a check for $637.50, which would be $910.85 minus $84.35 Tag, LIcense, Registration Fees minus $189 Third Party Tag Agency - another made up charge. Westshore Mazda - just do the right thing!!!! MY RECOMMENDATIONS - I just hope This saves some prospective buyers a similar experience. My recommendation, if someone still wants to shop here, would be to take as much time as necessary to review the documents when you're dealing with the finance guy and DO NOT SIGN OR INITIAL ANYTHING until you're completely satisfied that the charges are reasonable. Have him print them out for you rather than you trying to review them as he's flying through them on his desktop document screen. read more

I pulled up 10 minutes before closing time with a dead battery that I had just had jumped, and he was able to replace the battery right then on the spot. Harmony, my original point of contact, assured me they were all aware I wanted it but it had just come in and they couldn't sell it to me until it went thru inspection. I had checked up multiple times daily for over a week and spoken to all the managers there on the status and also done 2 walk thrus via FaceTime so they were all very aware that car was on hold for me. Wednesday. finance was supposed to email me the forms for purchase to review but never did. I also found out there is a $3000 package you have to add if you buy from them!!! Friday morning The car was supposedly ready to go so I did the last walk thru before purchase with Anas and there were multiple scratches on the rear side of the car that weren't there before. My last convo was with gm manny Friday night who was such a pompous ass. He was making me feel like he was doing me some sort of favor by selling us this car and was questioning me as to why I would buy a car from out of state. I told him I had been looking for a platinum model and they are very hard to find or I would buy local. But that's not uncommon. why so rude?? He told us it was better for them if I finance because we were out of state. We verbally agreed on the deal and price and he was "having his finance team draw up the docs for us to sign" for the sale and promised they would call me that night. Mind you, I didn't ask for a penny off the purchase price listed so this wasn't a situation where financially they could get more from someone else. He also said they had to fix scratches before they could sell it to me and I told him specifically that wasn't a deal breaker but he said his detail guy had to. Surprise, no call from finance. Called back that night but they had already closed. Saturday morning, called twice to check on why I hadn't heard back. Manny was "helping a customer" but would call me back. Again no call despite multiple attempts. Finally get ahold of Harmony Sunday who was the original manager I spoke to and she informs me they sold the car out from under me! Are you freaking kidding? I had a bad feeling about these guys since the beginning and exactly what I was afraid of happened. She said sorry and validated that they had agreed to sell it to me but then says it was probably a good thing because it had lots of issues and I wouldn't have liked it. What? I asked multiple times and was told it was all good. Also that should be my decision to make, not theirs. Why sell to anyone then? At this point I'm furious. I get it's a business but there are real peoples lives you're messing with and countless wasted hours of my time plus missed opportunities because of assuming this car was mine based on their assurance. So unethical to not even have the decency to give me a courtesy call or first right to refusal. Shame on you westshore mazda. You can only get these services done at their dealership so if you aren't local or if you move it's not covered. The app that you're supposed to use to access these benefits is a scam and won't work. Look up the app reviews. Also the Powertrain warranty is supposedly held by a company called dealer general. Spoke to guy for 45 min from that company. They do nationwide fixes but not for anything pre-existing. He said usually used cars are traded in with problems and they will only cover powertrain IF they deem it's new and not pre-existing. He said the packages should always be optional and that he's never heard of a dealership requiring someone to purchase it. He said that was a red flag to him. read more

I needed to update my initial review.went in to purchase a car, I specifically asked what bank will hold the loan to the car, and what is the apr, before signing anything, I was told suncoast and the apr. ok cool, I go home, get tons of notifications from credit karma saying three different banks did a hard inquiry on my credit, wtf! come to find out the bank they claimed held the loan never approved me some random other bank approved it. didn't agree to any of this, had they said yeah a million banks will ding and drag your credit score to hell I would have went to a different dealer ship, tried getting in contact with them, no one responds. Bait and switch? I live in Deland FL emailed dealer advising I was interested in a used '23 Acura asked if they negotiate and the out the door price. Salesperson emailed me back they would negotiate at dealership only and provided OTD price. I set an appointment and drove 1 1/2 hours to test drive. I made an offer, and they added an additional $3K that wasn't included in the OTD price. I spoke with James, sales manager, about the issue no apology or remorse for the error and he stated this is normal practice for them. I called back asked to speak to the general manager James advised would have him call me back, no return call as of today. My 17 year old son went to Westshore Mazda dealership to look at a 2022 Tesla Model 3 on 9/4/25. The sales person tried to sell a car to a 17 year old kid even after I told him he was a minor and could not enter into a contract. They proceeded to run my 17 year old son's credit report without written consent from me. It wasn't until the finance person came out and told the salesperson that my son could not purchase the vehicle because he was a minor that new paperwork was created to have me be the purchaser. Upon completing paperwork, a CarFax report was provided to me stating NO damage and NO accidents to the vehicle. It was upon receiving that information that I proceeded with the vehicle purchase. In December, my son took the Tesla to CarMax to have a quote on the value. CarMax came back and provided an Experian AutoCheck report on the vehicle which stated the vehicle had been in a serious accident and had SEVERE FRAME DAMAGE. The AutoCheck report also states that FRAME DAMAGE WAS ANNOUNCED AT THE AUCTION. Upon receipt of the information, my son went to the dealership on 2-3 different occasions to speak with the General Manager to inform them that they fraudulently sold us a damaged vehicle. After being unsuccessful, I went to the dealership on 1/10/26 and informed the sales person as well as the General Manager Manny Diaz of my anger due to their deceit. Mr Diaz denied knowing the vehicle was in an accident and said the person that purchases their vehicles from the auction is no longer employed by WestShore and he would need to contact the Auction company himself to get the auction paperwork. I asked him how much longer he needed since this has been going on for weeks and he asked that I give him until 1/20/26. On 1/20/26 I phoned Mr Diaz several times at which I was put on hold for over 45 minutes on 2 separate occasions. Additionally I sent text messages to Mr Diaz which he kept responding he needed a few more minutes and would call me back. I also sent an email to Mr Diaz which he replied to let him know what needed to be done so he could set aside enough time. Upon finally speaking with Mr Diaz around 7:30pm on 1/20/26, he told me I was stuck with the car and he is basing the sale on CarFax which states no damage and there is nothing he can nor will do for me. He fraudulently misrepresented the condition of the vehicle he sold me using deceptive trade practices. He also illegally processed a credit report for a minor. read more

Note, this review is for the service department only. I've not had any experience with the sales side of the dealership. I brought my car here to have a recall item fixed. The running lights on my CX-5 no longer worked due to a bad gasket in the headlight assembly. I made my appointment online and the next day someone from the dealership called me to confirm it. I brought my car in at the appointed time, where they gave me an estimate of 2 hours to do the replacement. 90 minutes later, I was out the door. During my stay, I got to sit in a comfy chair, with free wifi, free coffee, and a pleasant conversation with the service technician who didn't have anything to do at that moment. The staff made me feel welcomed, and I didn't run into any weirdness with salespeople coming into the service area trying to come up with new sales leads. It was great honestly. Unethical business practices. Austin in service took advantage of my teenage son. Instead of inspecting the car first, he looked into the computer and told my son what services he needed based on the current mileage and had him sign for $700 services. I had an appointment for an oil change. I've had my son take my car to Westshore for the past 3 years and none of the service people have ever asked him to sign for work. Instead, the service people emailed me the video inspection and asked me if I wanted work done. Austin later texted me a video of the inspection and told me what they already fixed and showed me what other services were needed on the car, which totaled over 2K. He said he found my cell phone number in the system. I asked him why he didn't "find" my cell phone number before he made $700 in repairs. He knew he was wrong, and his conscious got to him for taking advantage of the situation for a 2nd time today. All he cared about was his service sale. This has to be the worst dealership. My myself and best friend/brother are buying the EXACT same car. I live in Atlanta and him in Charlotte, he was able to come down before me and get his car, got his car no problem. I contacted the person that sold him his car, she gave me the same deal for EXACT same car. We scheduled a date to come pick up, perfect. We reviewed the price, trim and interior color and she verified all of that information and the pick up date. Perfect. I drove 9 hours to come to Tampa to trade my car in and pick up my new car. Get to the dealership and they don't have my car. They decided to sell it. No one called to advise me with that information. Instead they literally had me drive from Georgia to Tampa, knowing you didn't have my car, so that they can try to sell a different car, then they tried to sell me the same style but one year older and with 12,000 miles on it. They knew they did not have the car and no one informed me. Until they drove the car around and I said that is not my car. They tried to sell me 3 different cars, they said when take 750 off. No thank you. You actually want me to pay for a car that I didn't even want. I met Jaylen once I arrived. Definitely work with him instead of Lauren and anyone she worked with. I ended up getting the same deal at Daytona Mazda instead, after driving an additional 2.5 hours to get there. Daytona Mazda stayed open until I arrived.
