The very first red flag was that they didn't even list the correct vehicle price on the invoice; they added an extra $250 over the website price. I pointed it out, but they corrected nothing. Since the numbers were close to what I expected, I agreed to come in for a test drive. When I arrived, I had a different salesperson than the one I had been emailing. The one I was emailing was not working. I reminded the new salesperson again that the price on the invoice was wrong, but I said we could sort it out after the test drive. I'm a cash buyer, and I came prepared with an auto‑draft check and cash to cover the difference. That's when the classic bait‑and‑switch routine kicked in, something that should be illegal. After the test drive, the salesperson "corrected" the invoice, only to return with a higher price after adding a $2,999 "protection package." I told him I wasn't paying for an unnecessary addition for a 2024 Honda with 8,000 miles. It's pure profit padding, nothing more. He asked what price I needed to be at, and I told him: $1,400 less than their asking price, without the protection package. I also mentioned I had a trade‑in to help close the gap. They evaluated my trade and returned yet another invoice, still with the protection package added. Now they tacked on an extra "plate transfer tax," which is absurd because I'm already paying the DMV/registration fees. I asked again for both charges to be removed, and we were still close to making a deal. Then the sales manager came over with the usual scripted pitch about how the car is "worth more," but they're "selling it for less," and that the protection package is mandatory. I told him plainly that the protection package was never disclosed on the original invoice, the one that got me in the door. He refused to remove it. At that point, the car was $3,000 more than I was willing to pay. If they had been honest from the beginning and listed this unnecessary add‑on upfront, I would never have wasted my time driving to the dealership. The salesman contacted me and acknowledged the TrueCar price. Test drove the vehicle and decided to talk numbers. The salesman came back with a price $15k above the TrueCar as a starting point. I WAS SHOCKED! The sales manager came back with a lower price, still more than TrueCar, explaining that the advertised price has disclosures excluding numerous fees. Initially, my sales rep Christopher (or Christian) was great, attentive, helpful, and seemed genuinely invested in helping me. But that changed quickly the moment it looked like the deal might not go through. Suddenly, he was nowhere to be found. Here's where it went downhill fast: While checking the mileage on my car, the dealership accidentally left my car running for 3 hours. When they finally got around to evaluating it, the battery was completely dead. The same dealer who left it on tried to jump it, but it wouldn't start. He assured me the battery would be covered since it was their mistake. Fair enough, I was still willing to do business. Then things turned ridiculous. They had me waiting ANOTHER 3 hours with a completely dead car, only to then tell me the battery wasn't the issue (spoiler: it was) and suggest I "just put money into the car" and rent it on Turo, completely ignoring the fact that I couldn't even register it in the U.S., which is why I was trying to trade it in to begin with! The manager then tried to win me back by waiving the $1,000 down payment, but at this point I was done. I called a nearby auto shop who immediately told me it was definitely the battery. I went BACK to the service desk, paid $450 out of pocket for a new battery, and lo and behold, the car started instantly. Not only was I lied to and misled, but I was stuck wasting nearly an entire day, left with a dead car, and forced to pay for a battery they had promised to cover. The entire situation showed me this dealership doesn't care about people, they care about sales. The moment it looked like they weren't getting mine, they abandoned me. I had what I initially thought was a positive experience buying a car at Westshore Honda last night, but after carefully reviewing the paperwork I signed, I now realize I was misled and taken advantage of on multiple fronts. This was straight-up deceptive sales tactics, and I strongly advise anyone considering buying here to proceed with extreme caution--or better yet, go elsewhere. The salesman, Hayden, repeatedly assured me that unwanted extra charges (add-ons I explicitly said I did not want) would be removed from the deal. He said, "We'll take care of it," and made it sound like they were optional and would be stripped out before finalizing. They were not removed. Those charges are still in my contract and payments, increasing my total cost significantly without my informed consent. I also specifically requested that my first payment be deferred for 90 days. Hayden told me they would "try" for 90 days but that I would at least get 30 days with no payment due. That was completely false--my first payment is due much sooner, exactly as a standard deal would be. Another broken promise. When I asked Hayden directly how much they were giving me for my trade-in, he was evasive and couldn't (or wouldn't) give a straight answer. Now that I've checked comparable values and the actual numbers, it's clear they gave me almost nothing for my vehicle--far below fair market value. This feels like a classic lowball trade-in tactic to hide profit elsewhere in the deal. The initial impression was friendly and helpful, which is why I moved forward, but the reality once I got home and read everything closely is that promises were made verbally to get me to sign, then ignored in the final contract. This isn't just poor customer service; it's bait-and-switch and misrepresentation. I regret this purchase and will be contacting the finance manager/general manager to demand these issues be corrected (removal of unauthorized charges, adjustment to the promised deferment, and fair compensation for the trade-in). Initially, I took my 2021 Honda Accord to have the battery checked and wiper blades replaced. I waited 3 hours. When I got home, I noticed the glove compartment was very difficult to open and close. It required me to make a special trip back to the dealership. Whoever worked on my car obviously ignored this problem in trying to replace the cabin filter. Additionally, in screwing up my glove box, he subsequently placed the button located left of the box in the off position. This prevented me from opening the trunk. I had to peruse a YouTube video to discover how to rectify the problem. The service advisor took no responsibility for these issues. Instead, he wanted me to make another appointment possibly at my expense noting labor maybe involved. He made the statement that my car was old and things like this happen. Had to schedule factory recall which I was told by service manager Dominic....Honda was replacing all fuel pumps to get better MPG. Not the case. I also scheduled 5,000 mile 1st oil change/rotation. Took almost 2 hours and in the end---no fuel pump replacement....just quick sensor check; found out Westshore hadn't replaced any fuel pumps on my year hybrid! And techs FAILED to adjust oil life monitor or even affix oil change decal to windsheild! And NO BBQ for waiting customers---even popcorn machine was in-op! And my 2024 Accord Touring Hybrid (miles 5880) showed tire and brake wear at 60% left!!!! ****Westshore told me I was "driving and braking too hard!!!!**** __________________________________________________ REMEMBER--this is 4 cylinder hybrid! Not a Corvette or hot rod. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. This is the most misleading and shady dealership I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. My partner and I went in right before Christmas Eve to trade in his 2019 mustang for a 2019 Honda accord because we just had a baby. We had an appointment confirmed with Nigel after communicating with him back and forth about the car and he knew what we were looking for and our trade in. When we arrived, Nigel was no where to be found. He never came to work that day. Whatever. So, we were given a different "salesman" who actually isn't a salesman (he's a manager) and does business under his best friend Nigels name so that Nigel will get the sale and commission even though he wasn't even there. After test driving and agreeing we love this car, we submitted all of our paperwork to them to get the ball rolling with numbers. Before we had even seen numbers we had been there for 3 hours already. And shocker, if you have a co-signer that isn't present they will ask you to fill everything out on their behalf and basically do business without the other person there. SHADY. After 8 HOURS of being at the dealership and negotiating a deal, we came to terms with a beautiful and perfect deal we were happy and content with. We signed over his trade in which we were told was going to be sent to auction because it didn't have catalytic converters due to being modded. Turns out this was yet ANOTHER lie. (So if you see a 2019 Mustang GT that's blue for sale on their website be aware they might be selling you a car illegally unless they put them back on) We signed the paperwork with DAN PIPP and Gabriella (very sweet lady) We walked away with the car. It wasn't until almost 2 weeks later did Dan pipp call us back and tell us the loan was denied and we have to resign a new contract with numbers we NEVER would have agreed on or we would have to bring the car back. When we asked if we could bring the car back and get back our trade in and void the whole process, we were told it was already sent to wholesale. That's a LIE because it's for sale on their website right now. So, our hands were basically tied, we got manipulated and deceived into a new contract that we NEVER would have agreed on if it was the original contract. But it was that or have no car for work and our new baby. When we bought the Honda we were told we would be getting a new license plate because the primary signer of the vehicle had changed. The temp tag on our Honda expired 1-19-2026. We signed the second contract 2-3 days after the new year. My partner got pulled over today and was told the tag he has on the car is not the tag for his car and that he should have his old tag. After explaining everything to the cop he was able to find out they didn't transfer the tag until JANUARY 15th. Nearly 2 weeks after we signed the second contract yet somehow they KEPT THE PLATE and never informed us of the misinformation that they gave us to begin with. So now we have to fight with him to get our tag back so our car can legally be registered. DO NOT SHOP WITH WESTSHORE HONDA. They are the most UNPROFESSIONAL LIARS and MANIPULATORS I have ever witnessed in my life. If I didn't have to leave a star, I wouldn't This was an ORGANIZED SCAM starting with the Salesman, Austin Fortino down to the Assistant Sales Manager, Michael and ending with Daniel Pipp, the finance manager. I negotiated the price of the vehicle down to the advertised sale price of $49,791.00 which was the sale price on their website on the internet. and this was approved by the assistant manager after two (2) hours of "haggling". I then waited another two (2) hours to get into the finance office and then Mr. Pipps kept me in his office for another two (2) hours with his "magic signing board". Mr. Pipps tried to sell me additional packages and I told him that I did not need anything, additional, as the vehicle already had the package which suited my needs. I drove 50 miles to this dealership, passing four (4) other dealerships along the way, to make this deal, only to be scammed. The Assistant Sales Manager said that I had the deal and he gave the piece of paper to the Sales Manager. After multiple hours in the finance office, signing all the document on the "magic board" and thinking I had purchased the vehicle for the agreed said amount of $49,791.00 which, as I stated, was the advertised price of the vehicle on the website and Austin had sent to me the ad showing the EXACT vehicle with the EXACT VIN Number that I purchased. I thought I had purchased the vehicle at the agreed said amount of $49,791.00 and was okayed by the assistant manager, Michael. Another couple of hours passed and I was told "you are ready to go" however Austin did not set anything up for me on the vehicle, like salesmen normally do when they sell a vehicle, not even the radio. Austin gave me the key, no Bill of Sale was given to me at the time; I was told that the "bill of sale would be emailed to me, tomorrow" (I purchased the vehicle on December 8th) which I never received until eight (8) days later which was December 16th and the Bill of Sale that was sent to me in my email was for $6,000.00 more than the agreed upon price of $49,791.00. THIS WAS THE BIGGEST HOODWINK SCAM EVER!!! All were involved from the salesman, Austin Fortino right down to the finance manager, Daniel Pipps. I still have the information that I obtained off your website for the SUV with MY VIN Number and the sale price that was agreed upon after two (2) hours of negotiation. As stated, earlier, I received the bill of sale eight (8) days later and called your dealership and received "the run around". I called the dealership and wanted to speak with someone about the SCAM they were running and also sent several emails with no courtesy of a reply. On 12/16/25 at 11:45 am the contract was sent to me by Oaklie Payne, Finance Assistant and Customer Relations Manager and I immediately called Ms. Payne but she did not want to "know nothing". I called back and left several message and emails, again, and still no response from anyone at your dealership. I did not receive a Maroney Sticker nor any of the paperwork that I had signed on "the magic board" until eight (8) days later with the additional $6,000.00 added on. Had I been given the bill of sale at the time of purchasing the vehicle, I would have never purchased it at the non-negotiated price. I still have a file with the VIN Number and the negotiated purchase price of $49,791.00 which was the advertised price on your website on the internet. So Arrogant!! He has ignored my repeated attempts via text and phone calls to get pricing on the services I need. I am not going to beg a business for pricing. I took the video that Honda created of my car service items to another place and received a quote where I will have the repairs done. This is very unfortunate. I have always receive a survey to fill out but never received one and that's why I am writing this review. I'm pretty sure they popped my tire, but they won't take my call to find out. I scheduled a 2 p.m. oil change on a Friday. When I was there I asked for a tire rotation too. They said it would take around an hour to an hour and a half since I had an appointment. They weren't done until 4:30 p.m. It seems like they are constantly ignoring calls and it's pretty chaotic in the service area even though it seems like there are a lot of workers. I paid and left thinking nothing of it. That Sunday I got a notification that my tire pressure was low (I don't think I actually drove at all on Saturday so I wouldn't have noticed). On Monday morning, I had a completely flat tire. I called to try to reach the service desk and after the woman who took my call noted that had a flat, put me on hold for 15 minutes. I finally gave up. I ended up calling Costco to replace all four tires, since the back two were getting close to needing it anyways. Westshore Honda had just graded my front two as green, because they were pretty new. I honestly think they may have been under warranty, but every time I've gone to get service done at Westshore Honda it ends up taking hours. I went to Costco and they changed all four tires in thirty minutes. They also took my call right away and were super friendly. The disparity was astounding. I would highly recommend you go someplace else if you're thinking about Westshore Honda for service. They constantly try to sell you something, tell you other things are wrong with your car and then when I tried to call about a problem, no one will take your call. BUYERS BEWARE - SHADY PRACTICES AND NO ACCOUNTABILITY I purchased a vehicle from this dealership and was not informed that it had a serious emergency malfunction system defect. This is a major safety concern and should have been disclosed at the time of sale. After I discovered the issue, I reached out to the dealership. I spoke with David, the dealership manager, and explained the situation in full. Unfortunately, he was not helpful at all -- his only offer was a free oil change, which is completely unacceptable considering the severity of the problem. Later, Michelle, a Customer Relations Specialist, reached out to me after I left an initial review. I followed up by emailing her to explain everything again -- and since then, I haven't heard a single word back. No one is taking this matter seriously. At this point, I am pursuing legal action and preparing to send a certified letter directly to the owner and his son detailing what happened. They deserve to know how their business is treating customers. Jacob called me on Monday to present the same 'deal' in the e photo. When I asked for him to explain the $7000 worth of fees and taxes and why the 'Westshore Advantage' for $2995 was added on without my consent after it was presented as an option, his response was that it's not his job to know the fees and to only make me fall in love with the car. When I asked to speak to a manager, Jacob kept trying to push the sale. When I told him that I was able to bring up several other invoices that did not contain the Total FL and license fees, his response was that fees vary from person to person. This was a completely lie. I have filed a complaint with the FTC. We did not purchase a vehicle, but visited with a serious intention to purchase. Poor customer service, exaggerations and misrepresentations. Initial contact: I called the dealership and asked if they had any HRV's available that were four years old or newer. The sales person wanted me to bring in our car for possible trade-in and said the particular model could be worth up to $4000 more than usual. (Bottom line price they quoted to us after asking them 2-3 times was close to $1000. ) Although I was tired that day, we decided to meet in the early evening. When we were greeted, he didn't even have a list or seem to know exactly which cars to show us. The first one he showed us had no price or info, and was completely dirty with a yellow tag on it saying it's not suitable for customer purchase. It probably had just arrived that day. Then we went up to the garage and, he could only seem to find two others after a lot of effort, with minimal knowledge if the Honda brand! We test drove one with scrapes, scratches and gashes on every side of the vehicle. It needed bodywork. When it came time to discuss purchasing, he said the dealership had goals to be top in the region for new car sales, and suggested that we lease a vehicle. I felt he didn't seek to fulfill our desire to buy a used car, in particular an HRV. I finally concluded that they had a low selection (and the website was outdated- unless the 3 other possibilities were sold within an hour of updating the website).. Then when he showed us the detailed price categories and breakdown, it was approximately seven or $8000 more than the sticker price. We were shocked when told by both the sales person and the sales manager that it's mandatory that you pay Westshore Honda an additional cost of $3995! We did not want all of those warrantees and extras. We were told we had no choice. Had I known that the price added up so much from the sticker price, we would not have wasted our time or their time. If I ever do business with a dealership again, I'm going to insist that they send me a detailed breakdown of an offer of "out the door price" before stepping foot into a dealership. The sales person also told us that he could give us a brand new vehicle for the same price as the used one and I couldn't believe why he would say that. Perhaps it was wordplay. I don't like the game of purchasing a car at this or other dealerships. I should not step foot in a dealership. The whole interaction was odd, and felt unprofessional. We are now in favor of Carvana. At least the prices are shown to you upfront. If you purchase from this store, maybe do email and phone conversation and get them to give you a detailed price break out so you know what you're getting into. Superior customer service is when the sales person looks at you and asks you what do you want and then tries to direct you towards what you're asking about. read more
