I just want to add that I had my trade in Toyota always serviced there in Coos Bay and always had excellent service. One time I called a week ahead and made an appointment for service. When I got there I wasn't on the books. They were busy but they made room for my vehicle and I didn't wait any longer than I normally would. I will, of course, take my new Toyota there for service.

The parts clerk would not verify or provide this missing part and would allow me to return the parts only with a 35% restocking fee. The service manager said he could not look up the parts without a VIN (despite the original order being made without any VIN request). I was treated like I was a fool and nobody suggested any fair remedy. I gave up and took the parts and went home. Later I got a call saying that indeed they had made a mistake and that they would order the missing part and I could drive again 60 miles to pick it up. I finally talked to the parts manager who offered to send the missing part by mail but did not offer any concrete apology for the time I wasted or the insulting treatment I received. BEWARE of this parts center - you may not be taken seriously.

The parts and service department helped us immediately. Service tested the battery to make sure that it was the likeliest cause. It was a 5 year old battery and it failed testing.
