This place was worth the short drive from the main Vail center. We were greeted like we were long-time friends and invited to sit, and relax. As locals who enjoy the occasional weekend brunch, we have been coming to Westside for some years now. I called in today for a pickup order of two items and was asked over the phone "Ok Mrs. (Smith) would you like to add 15% gratuity for my service?". I just wanted to highlight this encounter as poor business practice. Please pay your employees more per hour so they do not have to shill for tips prior to services being rendered. I understand as a former waitress myself that tips are where you generate the most income for yourself. While I always tip, this just felt shady and unethical. If you like toast, go without the muffin base, ask for them to be toasted light brown and put butter and jam on them. The crab one was good. It was too much food for me, but I gave it my best shot. My taste: the crab was tasty and moist, and I didn't need Sriracha. Next time, I'll order without the bread and ask for fruit instead of hash browns as it's a large plate. Go there hungry! Great food and great service. It's hard to find some of the dishes they have here like migas and have them be goood. It has a great atmosphere. Fairly family friendly but a grown up place too. I asked for it with the crispy tamale cakes from the South of the Border Benedict and it was out of this world - the perfect combination! The chicken was harder to eat than an entire box of saltine crackers with no water. The bison meatloaf was a joke. I made a yelp account just for this meal. Stopped here on my way back home, and had the best diner style breakfast I've even eaten. My girlfriend got the chicken and waffles. They were perfect. Every place gets the ratio of chicken to waffle wrong, but this place sized both parts to each other. Such a great idea, and they were a delicious combination. Highlights include an expansive menu of breakfast/brunch items, nitro cold brew and breakfast cocktails for everyone. I enjoyed the caprese Benedict which was served with tomatoes, poached eggs, mozzarella and a balsamic glaze. The Westside Bloody Mary was spicy and served garnished with pickles, celery, caper berries, peppers and olives! It was next level and soooooo filling, especially if you drink the side car beer it is served with. The nitro cold brew was probably the best cold brew I've ever had. Located inside of the Highline /Double Tree Hotel the Westside Market Cafe is a popular spot for breakfast /brunch /lunch and after my 2 meals here I can see why. A rustic modern country vibe with plenty of seating inside and out, as well as a walk up coffee counter if you are on the go. I sat at the bar both trips ... solid service, delicious drip coffee, the smokey, bacon, spicy bloody Mary was fantastic! 1st trip was the smothered breakfast burrito ( they don't advertise its smothered which is a pet peve of mine) however the green pork based sauce was really quite tasty and this BB measured up and is quite filling and that's coming from the Big John. My 2nd meal was the Denver omelet ( when in Rome right?) very tasty with red peppers vs green ( nice touch ) a bit heavy on cheddar but can you really complain about that? Side of white toast , bacon, and crispy hash browns. A solid and very tasty meal... for Vail average prices and convenient as can be. Ill definitely be coming back when in town. read more

Westside is a local favorite due to their laid back ambiance, historical decor, delicious food, and awesome servers. As a fore-warning, this place has always been quite popular and the wait might be a while as they do not except reservations. Regardless, I feel that the wait is worth it for their delectable brunch items. I would suggest anyone of their eggs benedicts (especially the caprese benedict), their bloody mary's, coffee coctails, or skillets. I honestly have never come in for dinner but their brunch menu has always had a plethora of options including an impressive amount of vegetarian dishes and creative brunch fare. If you are in Vail this is definitely an awesome resturant to pay a visit! If you are more in the Minturn/Edwards area, then try turntable which has the same owner and a similar menu for cheaper (though I am unsure if they are still operating for buisness). read more

Breakfast here was amazing, and our server Ava was one of the nicest people I've met in my whole vacation here! When we got in I had just taken some pain medicine on an empty stomach and I was feeling nauseous, and Ava was so kind and brought me toast and water and a cup of coffee to help me feel better.
