3.5 stars. I love when I get to stay in a hotel that has a highly-rated in-house restaurant. My partner and I had breakfast at Westside Cafe before we checked out and headed back home. Lovely diner feel! Service was decent. While I got the Steak & Eggs meal, I also ordered a French Toast for us to share. Everything was tasty. Fresh and well-made. Overall would love to stay at Highline Vail and eat here again. read more

We had a gourmet lunch on the sunny patio lined with flowering hanging baskets! The Red Elk chili was meaty with beans topped with dollop of cream and sprinkled green onions. Delicious and not gamey. BLAT sandwich was made well on toasted bread. Very good! Berry salad had mixed greens was light and flavorful with the raspberry dressing, chopped toasted pecans and sliced strawberries. Wedge salad was standard with blue cheese. Price was a little high but in Vail it's mid range. Service was attentive and professional. Restaurant has little historical flare and inside bar. Bathrooms are down the hall in Hilton property with little adventure tourist shops. This place is worth a stop. read more

Amazing tuna poke nachos! Would come back solely for those! But the other food was good as well. Only downside to this restaurant, is it's right off 70 so you get all the highway noise if you're sitting on the patio. But overall great experience, and will definitely be back! read more

This was a new to us spot and I had high hopes from the way they bragged about being busy on their website. It was dead in there for a Saturday night, and lots going on with the mountain games and concerts. Just a few table of locals. I wish I could rate a 3.5 out of five stars. Service was fine. We started with the coconut shrimp. Decent flavor. My son had the pb&j. It said it comes with chips, but it comes with fries. I wish they gave you the option for having it untoasted or toasted. Not all kids like hard bread for their sandwiches. He tried a couple little bites and then didn't want it. My husband probably had the best meal. The juicy Lucy with tater tots. I had the ribeye. Just avoid it. You'll see in the pics. I've had expensive and non expensive steaks, diner steak can hit! Not this one. It didn't even look great, and it was so bland and basic. The fresh veggies were good and the mashed potatoes tasted like stand mashed potatoes with no seasoning. Maybe stick to their breakfast offerings and basics - sandwich, soup, burgers, salad. The food is great, with ample portions. They have a nice bar with great bloody Mary's. The staff is great, we went on a Sunday morning, wanting to watch the broncos game. It's not a sports bar, so limited number of TVs, but the manager worked hrs to get us a table with a good view of a TV. Thai is definitely a "go to" for brunch when we are in Vail. read more

This place is fantastic. The staff are friendly, service is fast, and the food is fresh. I opted for the Bison Eggs Benedict and was wowed by the tenderness of the meat, the sauce was from scratch and the English Muffin was fluffy and fresh, not the typical store bought hockey puck you'd expect. We're regulars, as much as you can be regulars and live 100 miles away! We come for breakfast whenever breakfast is needed and we're in Vail. The breakfast burrito is memorable. Corned beef hash is great. Gravy has a bit of spice if you're getting g biscuits and gravy (not my hubs favorite, actually). Omelette with cheese, bacon, onion, and hash browns inside is super. This spot has a great view of the trees and a huge outdoor patio for your dog, but the food was pretty eh. We got the chilaquiles (very spicy and over-sauced) and the blueberry pancakes, which were grainy and kind of flavorless. Went there for a drink and dinner after a conference in Vail and I'm glad I did. Patrick the bartender did a great job with my cocktail and recommended a couple of things to eat. The bacon wrapped tots with jalapeño were amazing. The bison burger with onion rings was delicious. Neat little place attached to the Hilton Highline. This was a great breakfast! We had the Cap'n Crunch French toast, chocolate waffle, and classic eggs Benedict. Side order of "crispy" bacon which was also delicious and recommended by Our server. We had a 5 min wait on Saturday morning and food was out fast. Coffee was also very good; wish I had gotten a bacon Bloody Mary after seeing others. Amazing! We stayed at the Doubletree connected to the restaurant. We had dinner at the cafe and we both got the cheeseburgers. What an amazing cheeseburger! The cheese was fried, fresh greens, thick juicy patty. I got the tater tots on the side and my boyfriend got the fries. Delicious. We also had breakfast here. We had to wait 50 minutes for our food but it was pretty good. The Bloody Mary was very tasty too. read more
