We hired Westside after a neighbor recommended them to us. We hired them to help us renovate an older home that had drywall damage, old attic insulation, and a dirty crawl. Everyone we worked with was knowledgeable and friendly. The crew they sent out was prompt and were very hard workers! They took out all the old insulation in the attic, made sure the vents were not blocked, and added new insulation. Couldn't believe how much the old insulation had settled. This new insulation should really help us regulate our home temp year round. Down in the crawl, they removed all the old plastic, sealed up around vents, and added new plastic. Looks brand new! I was surprised by how much the old insulation and crawl smelled. After the install, the house smells much better! Inside the house, after they patched up holes, they completely re-textured the walls. Texture along with paint made the whole house fresh and new. 10 out of 10 customer service. I find it SO tacky for a business to have their fleet of branded work vehicles with political campaign stickers on the window....I almost couldn't believe it when I saw it. Also how embarrassing that your "candidate" LOST in 2020 and you still have that joke of a sticker on your work vehicle. Do your employees also wear horrid red maga hats? I came here after looking up your business, and I'm not surprised to see such awful reviews already exist for your actual quality of work, which is clearly very poor. Here's an idea: maybe quit while you're ahead? because the work is awful & so are your choices. Embarrassing..yikes. read more

I called them out for a estimate/suggestion on what to do about heating/cooling loss and temperature inconsistencies at my home. After a very quick 5 minute on site visit, they said they would follow up , but that most likely they would suggest me to hire them to come out to do a thermal inspection of the house. This would also cost around 250.00 to do, and then they could tell me how they could help me. Not only did this visit not give me any suggestions, but then they failed to even follow up with me with how i would go about getting this thermal inspection. This was just a total waste of my time. I was very disappointed in this, i would stay away from this company if i were you. Edit: They reached back out and offered to come out to my house to re asses things. I responded, but they have since not gotten back to me once again. read more

Don't bother contacting this company. They won't respond. I tried calling, leaving messages on voicemail, using the contact form on their website--nothing. If you call their main number and press "0," you can reach the receptionist. She will transfer you to someone's voicemail, which is a dead end. I finally gave up. Nobody ever got back to me, and this after 6+ attempts. Evidently they're too busy to respond. read more

After leaving messages with other Drywall companies and feeling ignored with no responses, I was happy to discover Westside Drywall and Insulation. They were in the office to take my call right away and scheduled a free estimate just days later for the holes left in my walls after a plumber inspection. Westside Drywall provided a written estimate that was reasonably priced. There was a brief drop in communication for scheduling the work to be done but it wasn't a problem. The best!!! Recently used Westside Drywall for both spray foam insulation in my uninsulated crawlspace, and some drywall repair. Their bids were competitive, the service was prompt, and the guys who showed up were on-time, efficient, experienced & prepped our home so there was no mess afterwards. Roberto repaired 5 areas of our home where drywall had split, was uneven, seemed awful to my eye. I waited a long time before having this work done, as I was sure we were going to be able to see the repair job/patching. But Roberto is a drywall genius!!! No one can tell anything was ever repaired! The texturing is PERFECT!!! I feel blest to have found Roberto & the rest of these folks. Thank you!!! read more

I had an awful experience with westside drywall. It is very hard to speak with anybody in charge. You can leave messages and no one returns your calls. This company is poorly trained, messy, unprofessional. 1. The team did a horrible job texturing my ceiling, as I watched on. They argued with me when I pointed out some glaring problems. Then I had to actually do their job, in order to show them how to texture a ceiling. 2. A. They dropped texture compound on my driveway, then drove over it, spreading it in splotches and grinding it in. B. They used my garden hose to attach to their machine to mix texture material, covering it with caked on drywall material. C. When I took that away from them, they started using my garden watering can which they then covered with drywall compound dust. D. They dropped wet drywall compound on my carpet, and wouldn't clean it up. (They said I had to wait for their cleaning crew) 3. There was no cleaning crew. I had to call their supervisor in order to get him to come out and clean up after them, which he did a terrible job, and I had to walk him through how to clean up after his own crew. Save yourself the trouble. Don't hire them. If you have a new home and the builder uses this company, insist they send someone else. I had long conversations with my home builder over this company. read more

My husband and I recently bought a home, and asked West Side Drywall to help us repair the walls. We had some major damage, peeling ceilings, and light touch up. I cannot believe how great the walls and ceiling look after their crew came out! The finish is flawless- you can't even tell where the damage was! It looks like a brand new home. Never Never Never use this company. They are not on time and expensive. Three weeks work they spend 7 weeks on it, they didn't even finish the project. We end up hired another company to finish. They ask for whole payment. That is unbelievable. I know there are lots of good company in this industry that you can find to finish a construction project. Our contractor hired this company to drywall our existing home and addition. Four weeks later we had to hire another company to fix their work as screws, seams, and tape were clearly visible at a distance. The company who is fixing their work had to skim coat all of the walls to cover the flaws. This should never happen, especially in the new construction area where is was the worst! Not what we expected, this company not only cost us money, but delayed our entire project. They are also demanding full payment for their "work". I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more

My first experience with Westside Drywall (Corey) occurred when I was at Home Depot looking at insulation prices for a job I was going to do myself at the subfloor of my home. I must've looked confused, unsure of what I was doing because a man approached me and asked if I had any questions. I noticed that he was not a Home Depot employee, he wore a shirt which had Westside Drywall and Insulation logo on it. I asked him a few insulation-related questions, and after he was done providing me with advice he simply walked away, not pressuring me at all to use his company's services. That was very impressive to me so I asked for his business card. Corey had no problem driving from the company's base in Hubbard to my home in Brightwood--which is just 15 minutes east of Sandy, but over an hour drive from Hubbard--just to give me an estimate! In the end his company installed my insulation, and since they buy the insulation at wholesale price their total cost for supplies and labor was less than if I would've done the job myself! Because they did such a great job the first time I called Westside back out after I had my leaking roof replaced and I opted to install blow-in insulation instead of fiberglass insulation. Once again, Corey had no problem making the lengthy trek out to Brightwood to provide me with an estimate. I called a handful of others contractors, all of which told me that they were too busy and/or my home was too far for them to drive. The insulation job was completed by Westside at a reasonable cost, was completed in a timely manner, and the Westside crew did a terrific job cleaning up after themselves. I'd definitely recommend Westside (and Corey) if you have any drywall and/or insulation work to be completed. read more

If you like being ignored and your calls never returned these are the people. I called for an estimate 2x and never heard from anyone. The 3rd time I called the receptionist and was met with indifference and told to find someone else if I didn't like it. So I did. Never again, and I used them in 2007 on a big project and again on a smaller one a few years later. The woman that answered the phone is a Can't Understand Normal Thinking type. read more

Westside did drywall on our new construction home finished in November 2014 and it looks great. Quality work. We then damaged drywall moving and needed repair. I didn't even ask for a bid. They sent a guy out, charged a reasonable hourly rate and did a great job. Protected my floor well, no collateral damage. I would definitely use them again. I have renovated several homes, and I am very particular about the quality of work contractors do and this company is great. read more

We hired Westside Drywall to repair an area of ceiling and wall that was damaged by a water leak. I got two bids - the first included replacing full sheets of drywall and was quite expensive. Westside Drywall was able to simply patch it for about a third of the cost quoted by the other company. The guy who came out was on time, fast, and left no evidence of what could have otherwise been a lot of drywall mess! They matched the ceiling and wall texture perfectly - once repainted, you couldn't even see where a repair had been done. I would recommend Westside Drywall for drywall repair work. read more
