I would not trust some random cleaning business to enter my home and entrust them with my most valuable possessions especially when they undermine established and bonded corporations by cheapening the cleaning industry with lower prices and cheap toxic cleaning supplies. Be careful with businesses that bring in bed bugs and other disgusting things in gross old vaccums used to clean people's homes with. Spend the extra money and go with an established business when trusting strangers to clean. Merry Maids has cleaned my apartment so many times to make it spotless and with a cleaning crew that is friendly. They even take the time to clean the ceiling fan blades and the baseboards. And they don't get offended when I ask them to use my personal favorite cleaning products and supplies that I keep for them like my Dyson vaccum and Myers cleaning products.

To this day me and my significant other talk about how horrible of a cleaning experience this was. Originally from February 28th, 2018: I really wish I was here writing a 5 star review, 20 minutes after the team left. Instead, I've run into a situation where I'm writing a one star review because of a situation with one positive aspect, and the rest negative. I'll start with the positive first, Magdalene and the two people who cleaned were very sweet, and unbelievably nice. Unfortunately this isn't a review of their personalities. I booked an appointment last week for a morning cleaning, arranged my own schedule around cleaners being here that morning, only to have it rescheduled because Magdalene mentioned she made a scheduling error. No big deal, things happen. Switched to the afternoon around 1pm - 1:30. I did not get a call until 1:30 on the dot that they were running over an hour late. Ok, now two scheduling mishaps. I've rearranged my own schedule twice, and have been on the phone way too many times necessary to book a cleaning appointment, but still went ahead and was able to reschedule for the next morning. Fast forward to now, the cleaning was just simply sub par. Simple things a cleaners should do. Sweep the floor, dust bunnies were found in multiple areas of the apartment. Wipe coffee table down, it clearly wasn't cleaned. Make bed, at the very least straighten the pillows if they hadn't been. And as any apartment cleaning I've had in the past, attempt to tidy up and make things presentable if the client did not have time to do so prior to cleaning (unfolded blankets etc). This should have been a positive review, because after all of the rescheduling and timeliness problems, they could have at the very least put extra detail into this cleaning. Extremely disappointing and hope a more thorough job is done for other clients. Addition to review in 2020: It's also important to mention that in the review I say "Magdalene" was nice. This review was written before she literally screamed at me about this situation, and when I told her I would be writing a review on Yelp, she said that she would not be refunding my money despite the absolutely horrible job at cleaning they did. I provided images of the poor cleaning job (which after reading additional reviews, seems like a consistent fixture of their cleaning business), and she said they could either could come back and reclean the place, as if they didn't do an awful job and massively inconvenience their customer multiple times already, and then tried to extort me for a refund based on a Yelp review. Literal craziness that a customer should not have to go through. I have had multiple cleaners from different companies since I used Ground to Crown and couldn't be happier with all of them. Ground to Crown is an ironic name, because it's as if they didn't even look at the ground :shoulder shrug:

My team of Silvia and Zullima was fantastic. Their work was completely over and above all expectations. My home almost glowed by the time they finished, and that was no time at all. They hit every minute detail I requested without exception. They were cheerful, efficient, and they even asked me if they missed anything or if I wanted them to address more details . They returned my appliances to that "brand new" look I have never been able to achieve. My floors glistened. The sinks and countertops still shine. The next day had several house guests, and I never once did I have a concern about house keeping issues...(and I am always worried that I may have missed a spot -but not this time) These gals at Maids by Trade were both absolutely the best ever. I immediately reached Uzor on the phone and he said he would arrive in an hour! He did a much better job at cleaning my carpets than the service I had been using for 20 years. What a difference! His prices are fair, and he left my house sparkling. During his visit my disabled husband fell, and he offered to help me get him up and back in his chair. A kind and above and beyond service. He came in with his steam cleaning machine for the tile flooring in the bathrooms and he used great cleaning products on our hard wood flooring, material window blinds and windows. He made everything shine! The huge and very tall windows alone, would have been an enormous task for anyone, but he did all the work with a smile and an efficient and hard working attitude. He spent an entire day and then came back another day to complete the long list of items I had requested that he do. (The extra dat wasn't in our original plan but he wanted to make sure everything was completed as arranged...I was impressed!) Uzor was very professional and I recommend him for single jobs or multiple tasks...he takes pride in his work, he works hard and he will get the job done without complaints or hesitation. We did, and ended up adding a few hours to it and the work we needed done was done well.
