BAM = Beer, Art & Music, a perfect combination on a sunny afternoon. 18th Street was closed off to provide parking for food trucks & bicycles. I saw The Green Truck there, as well as Border Grille. 20 breweries donated beer from booths set up in a private courtyard flanked by galleries, where 4 bands provided live music. I only had time to stay for an hour, so I missed all the bands except Speedway (alone worth the trip from Redondo!). The event was packed but very well-organized. A bike valet was looking out for the crapload of parked bicycles. Maybe the reason I had no problem finding a spot for my car was because so many people rode their bikes. Beer and music were included in the price of admission ($35 advance, $40 at the door). All proceeds went toward funding spaces for artists to work & show their work.....a very good cause. The arts need support, especially in rough economic times. The festival attracted a great crowd. Despite all the free-flowing beer, people were upbeat without a hint of rowdiness. I love a good party on a Sunday afternoon and I'm guessing I'll be back next year when I will try to allow more time to hang out and enjoy the day.

There are areas where you can sit and just enjoy the breeze and the art so spending more time wouldn't be an issue. It's very well-maintained. Reservations are required online, but I don't think it would be a huge issue if you just showed up and paid up the door. I guess that would depend on how busy it is that particular day. But definitely make reservations in advance if you can, but if you just happen to be in the area and want to stop by, it wouldn't hurt to just pull up. $20 adults, $15 seniors, free ages 12 under 90+ Read and learn about the artists behind the work, they have quite an interesting story. Parking is in a residential neighborhood so be mindful of that. Entry fee is $20. Cash preferred but they do accept Venmo. I can understand how the price can seem steep for people needing to pay for a family. There ended up being a group of 8 of us and we ended up spending at least an hour and a half there. Possibly even more time. So many different picture opportunities and we were blessed with a beautiful sunny southern California day while we were there. The artist was on site while we were there and I made sure to thank him for sharing his beautiful works of art with us. The girl at the front gate was very friendly and happy to share the different payment options. There was artwork around every corner and even in the bathroom. There was even a gift shop that offered a variety of souvenirs and pieces to take home.

The night starts in an intimate bar setting where you get to enjoy strolling magic up close, which immediately pulls you into the experience. From there, you move into a smaller room for a pre-show performance that builds anticipation before heading into the main theater area. The setup was done incredibly well. The seating in the main show area was perfectly arranged and angled so everyone had a great view no matter their height or where they were seated. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. The overall atmosphere had a very intimate, Magic Castle-style feel that made the entire experience feel special and immersive. Every part of the night felt thoughtfully designed and added to the magic of it all. We had an amazing time and are already looking forward to going again!

The magician said he works in Disney cruises he was mostly keeping it PG. While exiting some of us were told if we wanted to see more magic to go another room. We of course were curious and went with . The room was much smaller. This time I was a bit closer to see the magic tricks that I gasp. The illusion on how we were being tricked was amusing. Not knowing what to expect my friend and I decided to stay for the evening event which was as a burlesque show. Adding the show was only 15 dollars . The ladies had an amazing performance along a live band which was quite entertaining. The hostess was extremely funny she was the best part of the burlesque show. Drinks were good only I was a little bit confused at first since the bartender showed me menu when I asked for the cocktails then when I asked for one she told me she wasn't making them but could put them in for me pointed at a guy next to her. I assumed she was putting them in since she said she could but no big deal we're waiting during intermission to add our drinks until the guy made them. One thing to add you can drink inside during both show. The difference was that during the burlesque performance there was someone inside ready to take drink orders and bring them to the seat . During the magic show you have to wait until intermission to get a drink .

As stunning as the glass selection is, the owner, Adamm is a the true gem of this place! Knowledgeable, kind, and happy to take the time to share his wisdom and love of glass with his customers. He was absolutely lovely and delightful! I must also mention that I was honestly pleasantly surprised to find that his pricing is super fair and reasonable. I thought that a little gallery like his, especially in Santa Monica, would have to have inflated prices, but his were some of the best I've seen, even compared to pieces being resold online. My husband and I came in here on our anniversary and left with some divine little pieces that will always hold sentimental value for us! Adamm made the experience so memorable and special! I highly recommend this shop to anyone and everyone! If you are not already a glass enthusiast, this gorgeous shop will turn you into one! I absolutely love it and cannot wait to go back!
