We had moved into an old 20s building and needed to make sure the art could endure the thick wall during an earthquake causing as little damage done to the walls, since we are renting. The sizes of the pieces range from small to 8ft long and no task was too big or too time consuming. The mural over our staircase is very grand and Carlos got it done so fast and so evenly, I couldn't believe how seamless. It's most important to mention, our installation was scheduled during the very difficult fire season we had here in LA this January. Carlos was incredibly communicative during that time, as rescheduling was obvious and not a problem but it became clear that this family business means family and then business Not to mention a local hero for his local community at that time, look no further!

The response they received to completely reasonable questions was so unbelievably unprofessional and curt - see the attached screenshot which speaks for itself. I have never encountered this sort of treatment before and am grateful that we didn't get to the point where we entrusted them with their services. As a business that presumably works with high-value artwork, they have no right to respond to questions about insurance coverage in the dismissive manner that they did. Mistakes CAN happen, that's why insurance exists... why should someone trust a person who merely says "We do this every day and nothing is a problem" but can't provide the dollar amount that their insurance policy covers? Do not recommend under any circumstances especially if you're seeking installation of high-value works.

I asked them to install 18 framed prints of my photographic images in my home, and the end results looked better -- more compelling and elegant -- than any of the public shows I have had. This is my second excellent experience with LA Teams art installation. I will use them again and recommend them to everyone.

Incompetent and careless. They did work repairing our kitchen a few years ago after mold. What they…read moresaid would be a 2 week job turned into probably 5 months. Writing this now because I just saw an outlet underneath the sink that's not at all mounted to the wall and was reminded of how ridiculous this whole ordeal was. They'd come maybe 2 times a week, maybe less, sit in the driveway and wait for each other for a while, and they'd always forget what they were supposed to do. Then they'd say "ah ya we remember now, gotta go to Home Depot" and take another 1-2 hours. The pace of work was incredibly slow. When they were redoing our kitchen, we came home and saw that the main handyman had bought cabinets for the sink that opened straight into the fridge and stove, so you could barely open them. It was on a corner, so clearly a corner / lazy Susan cabinet was needed. Delayed the job by however many days. They cracked the sink they put in, and there's carvings in the countertops from where they messed up with sloppy cutting. When they installed the AC window units, they stained the window panes, sink, and the outside of the house with the insulation foam and didn't attempt to clean it until I asked. They didn't get much up; still stained. They didn't put calking around the countertop they put in behind the sink. There were a bunch of other times where similar things happened that I had to ask them to redo it or do a part of the job they'd missed.

After reading my previous review, Sean reached out and apologized that they never got back to me…read more He asked for a chance to earn a better rating from me. Nicole then reached out and we scheduled the work. Welllll, I should have gone with my gut on this one. Avoid these folks if possible. The 'repairs' that Sean completed are awful. Please see the photos that I uploaded. The caulking job and wall look terrible, the moulding was not measured properly, our floor was damaged during the work, and Sean left a mess all over the office. In addition, if someone is paying you by the hour, move with some sense of urgency. Don't drag out the work. Nicole did offer to have him come back out and make repairs but they were not flexible with the schedule and I didn't want him back out during office hours as it is disruptive. I asked for a partial credit for the work instead. They tried to give me $35 off for the damage to the floor. Um no. This went back and forth until one day Sean showed up at my office with some ridiculous agreement he wanted me to sign. He refused to leave until someone signed off on it and sat down on our couch in reception. I had to threaten to call the police and tell them that he was trespassing in order to get him to leave. DO NOT COME TO MY OFFICE AND TRY TO PHYSICALLY INTIMIDATE ME!!!!!! There were then multiple threats to send us to collection and Nicole had a 'third party' reach out to me for settlement terms. I finally just settled at a significant discount to get these jerks off my back. So unprofessional. What a waste of time and money. 2 months of my life I can't get back. If only Yelp allowed negative stars.

Ethan is the man, the handyman to be exact…read more For a very competitive rate, he can handle most projects so long as it doesn't involve electrical wiring or plumbing. When your need is beyond his scope of work, he can even act as a research assistant to get you pointed in the right direction. He has sanded, spackled, and painted stuff for us. He's replaced an entire screen door and creatively installed twinkle lights on our rooftop deck, and also just shown me how to do some minor things myself (like changing out tiny halogen bulbs). He's honest and keeps good records of everything purchased as well as hours completed, and he speaks perfect English.

Beautiful Work and Excellent Service -- A Local Business Worth Supporting…read more I recently had one of my oil paintings (about 24 x 16 inches) framed at Alan Jeffries Frame Store on Santa Monica Boulevard and 26th Street, and I couldn't be happier with the result. The staff was very helpful and patient, taking the time to guide me through the process and helping me choose the perfect wood frame to complement my artwork. The framing took a little over three weeks, which was slightly longer than I expected, but it was absolutely worth the wait. When I picked it up yesterday, the finished piece looked beautiful -- clearly crafted with care and attention to detail. The cost was a bit higher than I had hoped (a little over $300), but the quality of the materials and craftsmanship really shows. These days, everything seems to be more expensive, and in this case, you definitely get what you pay for: premium quality framing. I also want to mention how important it is to support small, local businesses like this one. Unlike big corporate framing chains, Alan Jeffries feels personal, thoughtful, and part of the community. I truly hope shops like this continue to thrive in our neighborhood. I highly recommend Alan Jeffries Frame Store to anyone looking for expert framing, personalized service, and a truly beautiful final product.

We highly recommend Pro Handyman Service!…read more I wanted to write this review because we had a request that, while not unique, wasn't that easily categorized under a common household repair category, so we decided we would look for a general handyman that would be able to do it all. We have a sliding barn door for a guest bathroom, and because there was a bit of a gap from the wall to the door, it wasn't very private for our guests, and there was also no latch on the barn door. It's a strange choice for a bathroom, but we also didn't have the budget to change the entire door. I reached out to a few pros to get their assessments, and Pro Handyman Service was not the cheapest option for this job, but they had great reviews and I appreciated that they gave me an upfront quote. The quote actually helped me to budget accordingly, and I didn't feel like there were going to be a bunch of hidden charges that I wouldn't be able to plan for. I also felt that Pro Handyman Service was easy to communicate with and they responded to my questions very quickly over Yelp messages. They are busy, by the way, so try to schedule early so you can get a time slot. Denis arrived at our home promptly and on time, and was very careful to keep the home clean by wearing booties to cover his shoes. He listened and reviewed the situation, then gave us several options based on his opinions and experience. For example, he said he could use either wood or plastic paneling to add a "privacy edge" to the sliding door, and we ultimately settled on wood for the sides and plastic for the top of the door. He had everything needed for the job and just needed to leave to purchase the wood paneling and returned promptly to do the install. He also painted and caulked the new wooden privacy edge on each side of the door. We had already purchased a latch, which he also installed while accommodating the added privacy edge to the door. Denis worked very quickly and efficiently, leaving no mess behind. As you can see from the photos, the installation looks quite neat and clean, and almost looks as if the door came that way. It was nice that he was able to cut the privacy edge to accommodate the baseboard, too. Overall, this was a very positive experience with Pro Handyman Service and we think you'll be pleased with them as well! Hopefully this review will be helpful to anyone else who is looking for someone who needs a handyman (and especially if they have a specific request that might be similar to ours)!

I had a very odd issue of an extremely shakey washing machine, which after several repair attempts led me to inspect the floor. Denis his colleague showed up to move the washer/dryer and inspect the floor, and determined it was not level (it was VERY uneven). Denis gave me several options for how to proceed. They took the time to show me the support frame under the floor and explain why it wasn't level, and what they could do to level it as much as possible. I had hired Pro Handyman Service to address the floor only, but after they were finished and placed everything back the way it was, Denis asked to see a wash cycle on the washing machine to see if the floor fixed the machine as well - it worked great, no more intense shaking! Highly recommend, and will definitely be using their services again in the future.
