I ordered 2 of the 12 inch shrimp poboys the other day for about $24 and man, the wait was 20 to 25 minutes. I would've given it another star if only service wasn't as slow. The shrimp was a bit on the salty side, but the bread was good though. I kind a like their poboys better than Poboy Depot on Ames in Marrero. I give Westwego Seafood all five stars because they make delicious local seafood favorites at amazing pricing. I tried calling in to place a takeout order but no one picked up. Lucky for me, I was staying down the street so I popped in and placed my order in person. The order would be ready in 25 minutes so I left and ran errands. I came back and the food was ready. Get the full 12" poboys! My favorites are the shrimp and oyster poboys. The bread is fresh while the proteins are fried to perfection. Don't forget to add fries to your poboy. read more

Poboy as are very good as well as the turkey necks. This place is definitely better than Westbank grill!

Hours are posted that they are opened until 7:30pm. We arrived about 7:15 and told with crazy looks that the kitchen is closed. Looks like you can only get snacks & beverages. Hours should change to 7:00 pm. Very disappointed. read more

It's been years since I have been here and it's still amazing! First I must say the only reason why I am not giving 5 stars is due to the interior of the establishment and garbage in the parking spaces. As far as the food goes you will NOT find a better place to get fresh boiled seafood or anything true to the south. The fish is fried perfectly and juicy. The crawfish boiled turkey necks are full of flavor and fall apart tender. The po boys are on point and not soaked in grease like some places. Came here to try my first crawdads! don't say crawdads though say crawfish or she will have NO IDEA what you are talking about lol they were a bit spicy so it was sooo good. Kinda sucked that they had no "dips" like butter or ketchup for the fries... got fried oysters... wanted some ranch but for my first time not bad....loved that they were so HUGE too! read more

I dont know much about po'boys and gumbo, but i do know that the sandwich and stew I was given was delicous. The shrimp was crispy, seasoned with a little spicy kick over some lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes in between a loaf of good bread with mayo spread. I appreciate how the gumbo was made when ordered so that the shrimp, sausage, and rice weren't overcooked when served. Overall, I'll be sure to come back to get more po'boys when I return to New Orleans. read more

I'm trying to be fair and balanced about this place, but its difficult because my mouth is still on fire! ...ok let me calm down. This place undoubtedly has the best po'boys in Marrero. My wife and I have searched high and low for a place that delivers as well as the city, and we've finally found it. Even their fries are great and fries are something that are normally average at places like this. With that said, I'm typing this while sucking on ice due to the overly spicy food that I mistakenly ordered. I thought it'd be a good idea to try the Sausage, Potatoes, and Corn all in a Crawfish Boil. While the taste is delicious, the amount of Cayenne Pepper they added is UNREASONABLE! I was unable to eat even 1/4 of the food...the rest is on my stove. I'm angry because I really want it, but at this point, I'm sure my tastebuds are numb. read more

While in NOLA, we wanted to eat some crawfish so our friend who was a local took us here. Despite not having the tourist experience of eating crawfish by the pier, the crawfish boil here was still good. The crawfish was clean and had a spicy kick and prices were affordable! They have fresh seafood and cooked seafood options as well. Unfortunately we weren't too hungry so only ordered some shrimp and crawfish to share. We wanted some authentic Louisiana crawfish before we left New Orleans so thought we would stop at this place. We got there maybe 10 minutes after they opened and inquired about 5lbs of crawfish and they said it'd be about 30 minutes. While we were waiting we also ordered the 12 inch soft shell crab po boy. It was alright, it was mostly bread and lettuce with two very small soft shell crabs inside. Ended up waiting for 1 hour then they brought out the crawfish and definitely worth the wait crawfish was excellent spicy sweet definitely authentic Louisiana crawfish. The corn was also delicious. We wanted to order another 6 pounds for a drive home and they told us it would be another 20 minutes since it's sold out because while we were waiting the restaurant did fill up. All in all the the crawfish were definitely worth the wait but the restaurant was very dirty the floors look like they hadn't been swept in a few days. For restaurant that size they only had two tables to sit at. I'm cool with bringing your kids to work but their two little girls look pretty dirty and they had two play pens behind the register for them to sleep in. read more

I only get the hot sausage po boy from here because they're the only place that use pattons. They always get my order right, good prices and my poboy is always put together well. The lady at the register really isnt all that hospitable so dont expect a "thank you" or "come again". read more

Let's just I will NEVER purchase anything from this place again. I tried ordering an item that could not be disappointing , so I ordered a grill shrimp salad that ultimately cost a smudge under $10., $9.78 to be exact. I received a handful of lettuce, a sprinkling of tomatoes and approximately 20 shrimp. Unfortunately this was take out and I had someone else pick up the order otherwise it would have been placed in the restaurant's trash and I'd have gone somewhere else. I called to inquire about the salad to make sure what I received was correct and could I return the salad. I was told yes it was correct and no I could not return it. Let's just say that was the first and last time I'll patronize this place and if given the opportunity will encourage everyone I know to stay away. I am a New Orleanian and have great expectations regarding the restaurants in the city and it'd surrounding areas. Very disappointed with this one. I'll go hungry before making this mistake again. read more
