Okay, so the last time I went to a Wetzels Pretzels it was... sad, disappointing and infuriating. It was many years ago but I'd been informed that the Almond Crunch was discontinued (MY FAVORITE thing on the menu). This time, I spotted a smiling employee handing out free samples of their cinnamon pretzel. I tasted it and was so happy, I decided I might as well buy this flavor and give Wetzels another chance. Mind you, I hadn't looked at the menu yet... to my surprise: THE ALMOND CRUNCH WAS ON THE MENU. I was ecstatic. All felt right in the world. Sure, there's plenty of chaos going on around the world. Pretzels are one of my favorite things and Wetzel's never disappoints. Their cinnamon and regular pretzel bites are fantastically delicious! It was Monday, 2:30 in the afternoon. The mall is dead. There is no reason why one should mess up our order. My son and I have been craving pretzel bits and pizza bits, so we placed an order. We didn't order a whole list; just those two items. Also, i ordered my pretzel bits with no salt and with cheese sauce. As soon as we got home, my son noticed my pretzel bits had salt and no sauce!!! Whyyyy!??? This is madness!!!! To top it off, we paid $24 and some change for those two items! Ridiculous! It's fair to say that we are not getting food from this place ever again! This week I hit Wetzel's Pretzels 2 days in a row:) Lol. Hadn't eaten anything and I was craving one. They are always fresh with the perfect crispy crust on the outside and soft doughy texture on the inside. I like mine without salt and every now and then I like to dip it in a little brown spicy mustard! It's the New Yorker in me:) Perfect size for one but if you have your daughter with you, "she will beg for a piece. And you know, if she begs for 1 piece, she will want more... and then a drink to wash it down..." lol They offer hot dogs rolled in a pretzel, pizza pretzels, jalapeño pretzels and cheesy pretzels. They have icees, lemonade, fountain drinks and water to help wash down your yummy soft pretzel. Came to Topanga mall Sunday afternoon. Was completely backed. We decided to stop at the food court to order some pretzels from Wetzel's Pretzel. The line was super long but moved quite quick. The cashier was friendly. We ordered a number #2 and #3 (see pics). As always, the pretzels were super fresh, warm and perfectly salted. The ratio of cheese sauce to pretzel is perfect. I just wish they had a smaller size. The order portion is huge and definitely shareable, but OMG I can't believe how expensive this place became. Almost $33. That's insane. Went recently to this location at the mall with a friend and considered buying a pretzel. However it was seemingly hostile as a woman in a blue shirt was yelling at her male coworker. Some of the older ladies there seem to have a nasty attitude towards the young cashiers. The place is super gross and unhygienic and they have roaches but are trying to hide it.The food is sometimes good but I've found hairs in there. A girl at the front with short brown hair and glasses is so kind and lovely she was super kind and fast to give me my food and was patient with me. Love the nostalgia of getting a pretzel in the mall. It was a regular thing I did in high school with my friends. I wanted a jalapeño pretzel so I waited for custom order. Didn't take long. Turned out very well. Lots of seating and people watching. Upscale atmosphere. Topanga Canyon is my favorite mall. The pretzel definitely satisfied my cravings. I love adding a sauce to dip. I've always enjoyed this place. However, I was there over the weekend and ordered an almond pretzel. The price on the menu read $6.99. But when the associate rang it up it came out to over $10. He went on to tell me that they had changed their prices a while back. While the associate that was helping us was extremely nice and professional, I found it very unprofessional to list the pretzel at a certain price, but then charge people a different and much higher price. Stopped by for a snack because I was really craving the Dog Bites. It wasn't busy for 5:45pm on a Wednesday at the mall. I waited by the counter for a few minutes as I watched an employee rolling out dough without acknowledging me but then Melanie came out from the back of the shop and approached me to take my order. She was very friendly. She wasn't able to find my number or my email in the system for the rewards but she gave me my receipt and simple instructions to download the app so I can get points for this order. She gave me great service but unfortunately the price for a cup of Dog Bites was $10.49 and a regular size Raspberry Granita was $7.49 for a total of $19.69 after tax. That's a dollar for each Dog Bite in the cup. It was delicious but I think the company could price it more realistically. Plus, Melanie informed me that a side of cheese/sauce would be an extra ~$2. I think the prices are a little too steep for my liking. read more

These were the best Pepperoni Pretzels EVER! Soft, hot, buttery and delicious! Great customer service and very conveniently located in the food court! My daughter got the mini cheese dogs and she said they were absolutely delicious and hot! When I visit this mall Again I'll definitely come back to this Wetzel's location! read more

There are currently 2 Wetzel's Pretzels in the Westfield Topanga mall, one on the first floor just outside of Macy's and the other in its newest location (adjacent to the Dining Terrace, a.k.a the food court) on the second floor. This location recently moved from their second floor location just outside of Sears which is also closed. The old location didn't seem to get as much business, and seems a bit run down now that I'm looking at it. Now that they are right across from the food court, foot traffic seems to be way up. Wetzel's has always been known for handing out samples of either their pretzel products or their frozen slushy drinks to entice customers in, and it seems to work. Their pretzels are prepared fresh daily and they have a variety of dipping sauces to compliment your treat. They also have sweet or savory options like a pepperoni pretzel, a cinnamon pretzel, or a pretzel dog. Fountain sodas are a good price, and always seem to be carbonated correctly. This Wetzel's looks very clean and they did a great job with the relocation. If you are in the mall, come stop by their newest location on the 2nd floor. read more

A bag of pretzel bites from Wetzel's is the perfect snack to wander the mall with (in my opinion). Squirt on a little mustard and you're set! My only complaint with Wetzel's is that their bites often come off very greasy. I'm sure it's just the butter they use to hold the salt but you will definitely need a bunch of napkins to wipe everything off as you're eating. Staff here is also always incredibly friendly and helpful. You really can't go wrong here. read more

Got to the mall early for my eye exam and treated myself to a soft, warm Wetzel's Pretzel while I was waiting for my appointment. So glad I did. Mmm.. I got the plain original one with no salt, and it was hot and fresh at 5:40 pm on a Tuesday evening after work. With a slightly crisp crust, soft and chewy on the inside, and slight buttery taste, this pretzel fulfilled all my dreams and my heart's desires... even if it was just for the few minutes while I devoured it. I can't recall the last time I had Wetzel's. One of my friends swears that Auntie Anne's is better, but I had a pretty yucky hot dog pretzel from them at the Houston airport last month. Ick. I think I've fallen in love with Wetzel's again. I used to work there when I was in undergrad at UCLA, and you KNOW the place is good when all the workers there spend their OWN money to buy pretzels from the store they work at and pay FULL price. Fast and friendly service for a tasty treat or two! My son and I stopped by to grab some pretzel bites and found out that they were not yet ready. The kind young man gave us the timeframe to come back and had a bag ready and waiting when we returned. The cinnamom pretzel bites were generously flavored and toasty warm. For the price, the bites are a great value as they are easily shared. We also tried a cheese pretzel and it was heavenly. The counters, trash, and surrounding area were all spotless. This is the original Wetzel Pretzel from the old Topanga Mall before it was upgraded and pimped out. Now there are two Wetzel Pretzels but we have always come to this one to get food. Their sausage wrapped Hot dogs are awesome. Especially when you get some of their mustard sauce to go with it one top. How bout some lemonade. read more

I love their plain pretzels because the salted pretzels to me are way to salty but that may just be me, my husband absolutely loves the salt on the pretzels. You can also get flavored pretzels like sour cream and onion or toasted almond. They have a few dipping sauces that they do charge you for.
