Catering service for individually wrapped pretzels
    Sherryl I.

Every year on National Pretzel Day, our office celebrates by catering a huge assortment of hot pretzels. They are individually wrapped in foil packets, brought in boxes labeled by flavor. With so many varieties to choose from, it's tempting to try more than one! I always start with a PEPPERONI PRETZEL to satisfy my savory snack craving, then grab a SWEET ALMOND PRETZEL for dessert. With a warm, soft, freshly-baked texture, they're always such comforting treats. Location is on Level 1 of the Westfield Topanga Mall, along Topanga Canyon between Victory & Vanowen.

    Plain unsalted pretzel
    I-Lin L.

I came here to see what all the hype was about, because my friend was raving about how Auntie Anne's is way better than Wetzel's. So I got a plain unsalted pretzel to compare. No comparison, man. The Auntie Anne's pretzel was big and skinny, kind of rubbery, very oily, and quite tasteless. I guess if you don't doctor it up with all the powders and sauces, the pretzel itself isn't anything special. Now Wetzel's on the other hand... is huge and fat and fluffy and chewy, with a rich, buttery taste. And that was the PLAIN original one without salt, too. Mmm... The only good thing here is that the pretzels here are cheaper (mine only cost $3.59), but I guess you get what you pay for... which is an inferior soft pretzel. At least it was warm. And they have a rewards program, so I got coupons and my next pretzel is free. And you can download an app to scan your card for more perks. But what's the benefit of getting perks for mediocre pretzels?? :P

    Garlic pretzel

Yummy goodness! Always enjoy their pretzels. (When I eat carbs!! Lol) Great pretzels and great service! Had a garlic pretzel with cheese sauce. I love the dough. It's super fresh and super tasty. The price is right and the line was perfect! Would def recommend and will be back! My one complaint is that my pretzel was a bit salty. But, I almost wanna say it's worth it. Lol love this place.

Terrible customer service ! Rude staff. Asked " mini dogs" and got coke. Asked more napkins , the girl said we already have in bag . We'll never stop here.

This is a huge auntie Ann's compared to some others I've been to. Got a pizza pretzel for free as part of their rewards program. Score!

It's a beautifully decorated and aesthetically pleasing space with plenty of seating and even the bathrooms were nice and definitely well-maintained. I had the Coconut Cloud with Matcha and it was perfectly refreshing. I also sampled the Biscoffee and it had a strong espresso flavor that was well complemented by the sweet cookie butter flavor. The bungeoppang was freshly prepared and well worth the $5.50 for 2; the hotteok flavor was my favorite. Overall, Peak is a wonderful space and a comfy place to study in. No wifi on Sundays though!

The Bischoffee or Banana Latte or Corn Coffee were all very tempting but I went for my preferred drink these days Strawberry Matcha although as I stood there waiting for my drink (which quite a bit longer than my friends American) I was regretting not trying one of their insane looking coffee drinks (aka deserts). My BF said his Americano was excellent, not acidic or bitter in any way. My strawberry matcha was good, a bit too jammy, but not cloyingly sweet although the matcha itself was mildly flavored, it was highly caffeinated since it kept me from falling asleep at my regular time. If I was in the area I'd absolutely go back there again.

The dessert was just as good--soft, flavorful, and topped with the perfect crunch for contrast. You can tell Cafe 86 knows exactly what they're doing when it comes to ube. It's a great late-night dessert spot with a relaxed vibe and consistently solid quality. If you're an ube fan (or trying it for the first time), Cafe 86 is a must.

It's off Reseda and its parking lot is usually a hot spot among people. There is a good amount of parking but depending on the time, it fills up quickly and can feel tight trying to maneuver your way through and find a spot. Ambiance: Cafe 86 is a, they specialize in coffee and matcha and truly have an expansive menu featuring lots of delicious ube variations. There is a good amount of seating in the cafe, from normal tables to a couch to lounge on. The interior of the cafe is lined with brick and the warm lighting casts a soft cozy feeling. There is ample space to sit and enjoy your drink. I'd even say it's a good spot to study as it is spacious and does not get too loud. Drinks/food: We've tried the Iced Ube Matcha latte, Iced sea salt latte, Iced Ube Latte, as well as the Ube truffles. I love the ube flavor and it pairs perfectly with their matcha. They don't use the highest quality matcha but the ube flavor carries and still provides a nice tasty drink. The iced coffee was good, a little too sweet and kind of just an average latte, nothing to write home about. The ube truffles are something sweet that hit the spot if you have that sweet ube craving. They are soft and chewy and just the perfect bite. I am definitely biased in general because I really like ube so if you aren't the biggest fan you may not like it Overall this place does make their drinks on the sweeter side so going half sweet is smart if you don't want a blast of sugar. Service: Everyone thus far has been extremely friendly and welcoming! Overall: Cafe 86 is a solid spot if you are in the mood and have a craving for sweet, ube forward drinks and sweets. The menu is fun and unique, especially for anyone who enjoys ube flavors. The cafe itself offers a comfortable, inviting space that works well for hanging out or getting some work done. While the drinks can run on the sweeter side and some of the drinks are just average, the overall experience is still enjoyable. The friendly service and relaxed atmosphere is a calm choice for a new casual cafe stop, particularly if you are there for their ube specialties.

The flavors are exactly how they're supposed to be, no weird riffs, and the menu is clean and transparent. We got a cup with Mint Chip and heath bits on top as well as an ube taro flavor in a sugar cone. The mint chip was similar to what I've had before, nothing distinguishable from other ice cream shops. The Ube taro flavor was out of this world! So much flavor in every bite. The employees greeted us upon arrival and were patient with us. So many flavors. We couldn't make up our minds. Outdoor seating only. 3 tables, 2 benches. The ice cream gets delivered via name from a side window. Two single scoops, one with a topping, the other with a cone, came out to a little over $14. The place has a type of nostalgia to it, like an old school creamery. And the portions were generous, no complaints there. I don't know, there was nothing bad about Handel's, but nothing memorable either. I'm used to Mashti Malone's for those prices. Something exquisite. Handel's is a solid spot though, I'll come back with the kids.

This is our third year in a row ordering from them, and they have officially become our go-to for celebrations.
